#134829 Punishment Expiration.

Posted by Jedzio on 28 November 2017 - 09:21 PM

So today I was ingame and I received the following Pm:

f2--z1AjQuSlGSgSohbEmQ.png

This made me feel somewhat bad. Mostly because I was a bit strict when I was with a crown next to my name. Anyhow I do not know what this user did to receive the mute but it's been at-least 8 months since I was a moderator. I feel that small punishments such as mutes for minor things(flaming\bickering) should expire after sometime like forum infraction do.

Now i'm not talking about players who advertise or commit any kind of severe rule break. But for the stuff mentioned above I believe a 4 - 6 month time period for them to expire should be fair. I'm only posting this from my point of you judging how there are a few times in which I will agree I went a bit to harsh. I guess this can be up to the administration in the end. Just wanted to get this out and get opinions.

#129677 Quality Of Life Updates For PvM

Posted by Ye its me on 10 November 2017 - 08:21 AM

Im suggesting a 10s re spawn at thermonuclear smoke devil, This task is so annoying to do sometimes when you have 3 people trying to kill the same boss in a single combat area. Also, either Cerberus re spawn inside of the instance you create like he does on OldSchool. or should we get the key master teleports to take you to cerberus so there's less running involved for those killing the boss?

#64515 [3/25/17] Client customization, Loyalty points, Completionist item, Spring sa...

Posted by Omicron on 25 March 2017 - 02:48 AM

Hello everyone,

This batch includes a wide range of different updates, ranging from bug fixes (which we'll have many more of in the upcoming update) to things like the Loyalty point system and the ability to customize your client! Hopefully everyone finds something to enjoy in this update. We've also added a temporary Completionist item until OSRS adds an actual cape - the Completionist Monkey, which uses the Monkey "cape" from MM2, except we've modified its stats to be superior to the Max cape! Of course, we could not push that feature out without first having fixed all of the bugged achievements that were reported.

[Hot fixes - 3/27/2017]
• Loyalty shop item prices increased
• Loyalty points are given for doing literally any activity in-game, and it seemed that it was too easy to obtain them and buy items. We'd like to see the shop items a bit more rare in-game.
• PKP Shop has been disabled for all ironmen
• Ironmen don't really have any incentive to PK, and the PKP were supposed to give them just that, but it seems that it is more often abused. A major factor in this update is that HCIM is an upcoming update which we're preparing for, and want to give it some more difficulty.
• Diagonal combat fixed for NPCs:
• Broke this last update, it is now fixed.
• Recipe for disaster chest fixed
• You can now use the "Buy-gloves" option.
• Ironman PVP achievement exceptions:
• As an ironman, you can now speak to Paul at home to auto-complete the following achievements:
• Heat of the moment (kill 2 players in 1 minute)
• Mysterious (reach 5000 PKP)
• Slaughterhouse (kill 50 players)
• On a Roll (reach a 5 player killstreak)
• The Bounty hunter (kill 10 bounty targets)
• Rolling stone (reach a 15 player killstreak)
• Ruthless (kill 5 players)
• We don't expect Ironmen to PK without any reward, so we have made the Achievement cape (and Completionist) a more realistic task.
• Miscellaneous:
• When you buy any cape from Mac(Achievement, Music, etc) a visual bug would cause it to not appear in your inventory until you dropped an item or banked.
• Clue bottle drops would say "You have received a bird's nest!" in your chatbox. This has been fixed.
• Login message showing the amount of time you have left of bonus XP has been changed from light blue to a darker "runite" blue.

[Updates]

• Battle Royale fixes:
• Many misc. bug-fixes
• If a player's skull runs out inside of a dangerous battle, it will re-skull them
• Items lost on death will now last 30 minutes on the floor
• If a player dies with untradable items in a dangerous battle, they will go to the lost items shop.
• If it cannot go to the lost items shop, it will add it back to their inventory instead.
• Multi/single combat option added for administrators to choose when hosting the event
• Interface is now centered:
• Previously, the interface was in the top right corner which overlapped with the XP counter. The center is more clean and unused by widgets.
• It will also remain centered on resizable mode.

[*]Loyalty Points:

• You can receive loyalty points simply for being logged in and active in-game!
• Between 4-16 loyalty points per minute
• This rate depends on the type of activity you are doing in-game.
• Being entirely AFK will not earn you any points.
• Skilling actions, combat, and numerous other actions make your points per minute go up.
• For all your fashionscape needs:
• The Loyalty point shop has been added with many, many cosmetic goods to satisfy your hunger for fashion!
• A huge collection of items which have not yet been seen in Alora are now available.
• Example items you can purchase:
• Castle wars equipment sets:
• Red, white and gold sets -- 5, 20 and 30 defence required, respectively.
• Ranged set - 30 Ranged required
• Magic set - 20 Magic required
• Tribal/villager robes
• Tribal mask
• Fishbowl helmet / Diver's apparatus
• Camel mask
• Red/purple menaphite robes
• All satchels, slave robes, skirts, and more!

[*]The # of Loyalty points you have accumulated can now be viewed in the Quest tab.
[*]Bonus Loyalty points: Donate any amount over 2.5m to the Well of goodwill, and you will get 1.5x Loyalty points once the well is activated!

• This should provide more incentive to players who donate to the well.
[*]Platinum tokens:

• You can now use platinum tokens to store your wealth!
• These are always worth 1,000 GP each and can be swapped at any Bank booth in Alora.
• Simply use your platinum or coins on a bank booth, and an input box will open to allow you to transfer the amount you'd like to swap.
• Notes:
• You can not use platinum to purchase items from stores/TP/etc.
• You can not sell your platinum on the TP either (to prevent confusion), although it is tradable.
• If you already have a high amount of GP in your inventory and are looking to swap your platinum for more, it will only give you as much as you can hold before reaching the 2.147b limit.

[*]Item sets:

• Exchanging your items into sets (and vice versa) is now possible!
• Simply use any item in a set (while having all components in inventory) on the Trading post object.
• If you'd like to change it back from a set into its component pieces, use the set on the Trading post object.

[*]Available sets:

• All barrows sets
• Gilded(legs) and Gilded(skirt)
• Partyhat set
• H'ween mask set
[*]Client customization update:

• The following settings are now available for customization!
• New hitpoints bars (~2009+ era)
• 10x hitpoints option
• New right-click menu (~2009+ era)
• New hitmarkers (~2009+ era)
• Animation tweening (smoother animations)
• Game timers:
• Disable visual timers for things like Well of goodwill, Vengeance, freeze timers, etc.
• New mouse cursors:
• Mouse cursors will update based on the action you are hovering, for actions like "eat", "bury", "pray-at", "chop-down", etc.
• These settings save on the computer, not the player. Any accounts you log into from a certain computer will use the same options.

[*]Maximum click distance for objects increased by 50%:

• Previously, you were limited to objects that were 16 squares away. This has been increased to 24.
• This should fix certain actions such as clicking the blood altar from the location you are teleported to

[*]Achievement fixes:

• Karambwhat fixed:
• Now works as intended --> You must fish 1000 Karambwan.
• Voter fixed:
• Was not increasing your achievement until you voted at least 10 times for some reason, has been fixed.
• Chinchomper:
• 1/7 --> 1/1000 as intended
• Slaughterhouse fixed:
• Would only count kills IF you already had 50, so you'd have to actually kill 100 players instead of 50. This has been fixed.
• Mysterious:
• You can now complete this as soon as you reach 5,000 PKP on your account.
• *Even if you had all achievements completed, it was still impossible to get the Achievement cape. This has been fixed.
• Note: Many ironman think they cannot complete "High stakes" because they can't stake 50m in the duel arena.
• This is incorrect, as long as you duel someone once (no need to stake) it will complete this achievement for you.

[*]Completionist Monkey is now available!

• Considering OSRS has yet to add a completionist cape, we've decided to add our own sign of accomplishment for players who have progressed further than most in-game.
• In the future, if OSRS does add a completionist cape, we will of course change this feature.
• The Completionist Monkey requires:
• Meet all of the requirements for the Max cape
• Meet all of the requirements for the Music cape
• Meet all of the requirements for the Achievement cape
• Have at least 3 skills which have reached 200m experience, with a maximum of 1 in a combat skill.
• Have at least 1b total experience
• Costs 10m gp to purchase (1m to reclaim if you die with it)
• The Completionist Monkey provides:
• The best bonuses out of any cape in the game at the moment. Essentially, you can think of it as a combination of all of the different "trimmed" max capes. For example, the Fire Max cape provides +11 to all defence bonuses which is higher than any other Max cape, and this is exactly what the Completionist monkey provides, yet Fire Max cape only provides +1 Magic attack whereas the Saradomin max cape provides +10 -- the Monkey will take the best of all the capes and provide the +10 to Magic attack as well.
• +6 Stab | +1 Slash | +1 Crush | +10 Magic | +4 Ranged ||| +11 All defense bonuses ||| +4 Strength | +6 Prayer
• Ava's accumulator effects
• Ardougne cape thieving bonus XP effect
• (and, of course, bragging rights!)
• You can speak to Mac to purchase this cape.

[*]Removing vials when finishing a potion:

• The option to keep/delete empty vials upon finishing your potions has been added!
• Speak to the Emblem trader at home to toggle this setting.
• This toggle does not apply to Gourd vials within the Raids dungeon.

[*]Raid fixes:

• Tekton is now attackable at all times
• Previously, a bug would prevent some players from being able to attack Tekton after he stopped hammering his anvil.

[*]Ironman de-iron changes:

• Previously, ironman who de-ironed were always announced to the world.
• This has been changed to only players who:
• Have an account older than 1 hour (and paid the fee to de-iron)
• Have at least 1,000 total level
• Other players can still de-iron of course, but will not be announced globally.
• If a UIM de-irons, it will now set them to the normal ironman rank first, rather than setting them to player status.
• This means that they would have to de-iron twice to become a normal player, but they can now simply remove their "Ultimate" status only.
• The cost to remove your Ultimate status is 5m, and the cost to become a regular player thereafter is the same as before, 10m.
• This will cost you 15m to go from Ultimate --> Normal player
• The message sent to all other players is a bit different if an Ultimate ironman de-irons to provide clarity:
• has given up being Ultimate, and is now a normal Ironman.

[*]Miscellaneous:

• Fixed Karamja -> Small lava cave -> Tzhaar object entrances, both ways
• ::yell will now show you how many seconds remain until you can yell again.
• Remember that you can use the Page-up button on your keyboard's number pad to re-enter your previous messages!
• Vote bonus XP timer has been fixed:
• It used to be a few minutes off when it gave you the "You have X minutes of bonus XP left." message, although the timer itself was correct.
• Boss killcount/killtime records are now seperated by dotted lines between npcs for those that have multiple entries. (eg. Raids records)
• Poison will no longer stack damage while resting, as you will stop resting if you are hit with poison damage (as you do with combat damage)
• RFD chest fixed for item on object noting/unnoting.
• Item fixes:
• Added Ale of the gods effect (unobtainable at the moment)
• Mummy armour is now equippable (unobtainable)
• ::event area is now a multi-combat zone.

[*]Bank fixes:

• Bank withdrawal fix:
• Many players have complained that if they spam click the items in their bank to withdraw them, it will sometimes withdraw them from a different tab.
• This has been fixed, and should work as intended.

[*]Deposit equipment fix:

• Previously, depositing your equipment would insert them into the main tab, instead of the tab you are currently viewing.
• This has been fixed so that they will also go into your current tab as long as the item stack doesn't exist in another tab.
[*]Client updates:

• Fog changes:
• The intensity and color of the fog on OpenGL HD has been adjusted.
• Brownish -> Light blue
[*]::twitch / ::hitbox commands added

[*]Shop updates:

• The shop has not been updated in awhile, so we figured we'd give it some well deserved updates!
• Super mystery box is now available!
• A similar item to the regular mystery box, but with a different set of items, and significantly less junk at a higher cost.
• It also includes a considerably higher chance to obtain rare items, as well as some new items that are not available in the regular mystery box.
• Many new items have been added, among them being the Sled & Partyhat with specs, which are exclusive to this box!
• The Black partyhat is also now exclusive to this box.
• Some raids items are also within the box, although we've excluded the rarest ones (Eg. Twisted bow, olmlet)

[*]Spring sale:

• To celebrate the start of spring, we've launched a sale which includes the new Super mystery boxes among other items!
• Bounty tele scroll (150 -> 80 tokens)
• Super mystery box (120 -> 100 tokens)
• Dharok's set (75 -> 50 tokens)
• Dragon warhammer (600 -> 500 tokens)
• Super combat potions (30 -> 25 tokens)

[*]Item changes:

• Removals:
• Antipanties have been removed.
• Onyx bolts have been removed.
• Zamorak/Bandos godswords have been removed.
• Dragon harpoon has been removed.
• All 3rd age sets have been removed.
• Price changes:
• Saradomin sword has been reduced from 90 -> 45 tokens
• Mage's book has been reduced from 40 -> 25 tokens
• Master wand has been reduced from 45 -> 35 tokens
• Dark bow has been reduced from 60 -> 30 tokens
• Armadyl godsword / Saradomin godsword have been reduced by 50 tokens each
• Seer's ring (i) has been reduced from 50 -> 40 tokens
• Warrior's ring (i) has been reduced from 50 -> 30 tokens
• Misc:
• Staff of the dead has been replaced by the Toxic staff of the dead.
[*]Staff updates:

• The "shift-click" teleport can now be used by administrators to move around more easily.
• The ::tele command is also accessible for exact coordinates.
• Timed punishments can now be handed out for hours.
• Previously, only days could be given out.
• The following punishments can now be handed out in hours:
• ban, macban, ipban, mute, ipmute, jail*(previously could not be timed at all)
• Changes to the Jail system:
• Previously, ::jail commands would be permanent until ::unjail and could not be timed.
• This was causing issues for moderators wanting to jail people for a few hours, as they had to remember exactly who they jailed and what time they should be unjailed at.
• We've changed the system a bit so that a player can be unjailed automatically by the server.
• If the player is logged out during their unjail time, it will simply unjail them on there next login.
• These punishments will save through server restarts as with other punishments and should require no staff involvement.
• The jail times can be handed out for hours or days as with other punishments.
• Previously, players could only be jailed while online.
• Players can now be jailed while offline.
• Punishments updates:
• Macban/IPban will now also ban the player by default, as well as their mac or IP.
• The default ban will be for the same time as the mac/ip ban.
• IPMute will now also mute the player by default, as well as their IP.
• The default mute will be for the same time as the ip mute.
• Support updates:
• ::tempmute command has been added for Server support to temporarily mute a player for 1 hour.

[*]Staff control panel has been renovated (currently available only to admins until all bugs are fixed!):

• As our old Staff CP was a bit clunky and outdated, we've decided to give it a makeover to make it easier for staff to view logs and other stats/info.
• A few cool features:
• Playercount graph -- server now updates the PC every ~10 minutes when online
• "Relations" function to easily link players to any other accounts from the same IP/Mac
• A new, sleek theme
• The ability to view logs as far as they go back, up until the first day of server release
• A chat/note box on the dashboard for staff to conversate
[*][Wilderness/Combat related updates]

• Combat fixes:
• Barrage orb fixed -- shows a block of ice on a refreeze/fresh freeze, and an orb if already frozen.
• Special attack animation playing twice:
• Sometimes when using certain special attacks, the animation would go off twice.
• Items affected: All godswords, saradomin sword and barrelchest anchor.

[*]Dragon scimitar special attack will now only turn off protection prayers if the damage is greater than 0
[*]Dragon spear special attack has been fixed:

• It is now possible to stack the Dragon spear special attack (indefinitely) without having the target "unstunned" after a few seconds if you have many people continuously use the special attack on the target.
• This technically means a team of 100 people can keep a player stunned for a very, very long time (same as OSRS).

[*]NPCs can no longer attack you diagonally (if frozen)
[*]Fixed special attack effects that were somewhat incorrect:

• Blowpipe - wrong healing amount
• BGS effect - wrong drain amounts
• SGS effect - wrong healing amount
[*]Bounty hunter system changes:

• You can now attack your bounty hunter target no matter the wilderness level difference.
• Eg. A level 116 player can attack a level 120 player in level 1 wilderness.
• The system will attempt match you with a suitable target within +-10 combat levels.
• This was previously set to +-7, but we have changed it to 10 as this is how OSRS' system has it.

#62055 Alora Newspaper 15/03/17

Posted by Syntax on 15 March 2017 - 04:24 PM

The new rule changes in regards to the wilderness ragging rule will clear up a lot of confusion for both players, and staff alike.

Reverting the bonds was a great decision, and Lowkey did a good job posting a feedback thread in regards to what should be done, it's clear it was the right decision, as bonds have never been more in demand.

Fixing corporal beast opens up a boss in which was being heavily camped for almost every moment of the day prior to the sigil rates being messed up, so this is a huge plus.

The woodcutting guild is another great addition, and it's nice to see content moving in to Zeah - it will be great to see more in the future on zeah. Good job Lowkey again helping Omicron with the xteas for zeah.

The update for extreme slayer tasks which was suggested by Drewsy is great to see, not only is it new content for slayer - but it's nice seeing Omicron giving players credit for their suggestions in his update threads for the server.

Congrats to those recently promoted, and best of luck to those leaving the staff team (whether temporarily or permanently)

- I still think the incident involving Chiszle should be at least listed in the demotions part of Blank's staff update, rather than ignored/swept under the rug. It's something that the community should know about (that's my viewpoint on the matter).

• I'm glad to see player of the month, rather than player of the week - as it represents a greater period of time and duration for a players dedication to the server. It's also nice to see forum badges being better utilized by the administration team to help recognize players more.

I enjoy reading the interviews, especially for some of the newer staff members (at least new to most of the current community of Alora). I remember seeing uTorrent and Haris in another servers discord days before he was promoted to the staff team and thought that there was some type of correlation. I noticed you mentioned Omicron had a previous server, I'm curious as to what it was, and I know many others are as well. Again thanks for being apart of the interview.

Excellent job Otto on the newspaper and I look forward to them in the future.

#60546 [3/11/17] Battle Royale system, Woodcutting Guild, Many combat fixes!

Posted by Omicron on 11 March 2017 - 05:20 AM

Hey guys,

This week was primarily focused on fixing some crucial PvP mechanics, as well as creating a system to host "Battle Royale" type events. This was created for the Ironman NH battle that will be hosted later today, but will undoubtedly be used for many more events in the near future! Additionally, the Woodcutting guild has been added in with some cool content such as Redwood trees and the Lumberjack outfit! Good luck to everyone participating in the tournament and battle later on today :)

[Updates]
• Battle Royale "mini-event":
• Originally created for the Ironman Battle Royale that people have been training for during the past week, the BR mini-game will be something you'll see more of in the future on the weekends as part of events!
• Here's how it works:
• An administrator can host a BR with the following settings:
• Safe/dangerous (items lost or kept on death)
• Public/private
• Eg. for this weekend, it will be a private, "invite-only" event which you must PM an administrator (@uTorrent in this case) to join!
• Players can join by either a) receiving an invite from an admin, or B) typing ::joinbr if the event is public.
• Either option will WARN them if the battle will be dangerous or not before allowing them to join.
• Players are the placed into a lobby.
• Once you are in the lobby, you can no longer teleport out.
• * If you log out in the lobby, you will not lose items, but will be removed from the BR.
• * On the other hand, logging out while outside of the lobby might cause you to lose your items if it is dangerous.
• Once an administrator starts the BR, players have 120 seconds to enter.
• The 2 minute timer is launched, and players in the lobby must wait until the countdown hits zero to be placed in the battle map.
• Once the 2 minute timer is over, players will be randomly placed into the arena and the battle will immediately begin!
• They must fight until the death, and when all players are defeated, the final player will be announced to the server as the winner and the event will end.
• Warnings:
• If it is dangerous and a player x-logs, logs out OR even dc's, their items will be dropped on the ground. It is a fight til the death, after all.
• (This only applies once the countdown timer hits zero and the battle has begun)
• All three new prayers (Preserve, Rigour and Augury) have been disabled momentarily for this weekend's event. This may be changed later on.
• Miscellaneous
• Godsword shard yell fixed for good
• Fixed bug causing some people to not be able to login (friends list related)
• The chinchompa explosion graphics were showing too early -- this has been fixed.
• Desert Pyramid door fixed (used to send players into an area where their account would crash)
• Previously only 1 of the doors had been fixed rather than both.
• Additionally, the "tunnel" at the bottom of the pyramid has also been fixed.
• *Anyone still bugged in this area should PM me.
• Bludgeon pieces combining fixed:
• If you only had 2/3 items and tried to combine them, it would delete both. It will now check and tell you that you need all 3.
• Fixed Nurse healing animation (at home)
• Trading post interface *visual bugs have been fixed:
• Trading post QOL updates:
• Woodcutting system reworked to prevent a bug:
• Previously, spam-clicking a tree with no axe in your inventory would technically reduce the trees health and eventually take it down. It would also reset your animation. Both issues have been fixed.
• Extreme Slayer task updates (Thanks @Drewsy for the recommendations!):
• Kree'arra (Armadyl boss)
• 5-25 assignable
• K'ril tsutsaroth (Zamorak boss)
• 5-30 assignable
• Commander Zilyana (Saradomin boss)
• 5-25 assignable
• Corporeal beast
• 3-10 assignable
• Corporeal beast sigil rates fixed:
• The previous update did not have the correctly calculated sigil drop rates.
• These have been corrected, and are matched exactly to OSRS:
• 1/585 chance to hit the sigil table, then a roll between 1-7 (not 1-100):
• Elysian (1/7 chance)
• Arcane (3/7 chance)
• Spectral (3/7 chance)
• (No other empty slots on the tables)
• We've decided to keep the rate exactly like OSRS as our version of Corp is considerably easier and faster to kill. This means we didn't apply the usual 1.23* multiplier which we do to our rare drops, but we did essentially make it 10x easier to get Sigils.
• ::Event command added:
• Provides for a simple area to host certain events, such as boss events
• Type ::event to be teleported there, assuming you are not teleblocked/over level 20 wilderness/etc.
• Location: On the rooftop of the Grand Exchange
• Looting bag change:
• WARNING: Destroying your looting bag will now permanently destroy all of the items within(as per OSRS mechanics).
• Zeah maps fixed:
• Ever since OSRS re-designed Zeah's maps, ours have regrettably been broken.
• Thanks to @Lowkey for collecting the latest xTEAs, we now have the latest maps!
• These can be used for future content, starting off with the release of..
• The Woodcutting Guild
• General:
• Any player with 60+ woodcutting may enter.
• An invisible +7 Woodcutting level boost is present within the guild (faster chopping on any tree).
• The guild contains all common types of trees, as well as the new Redwood trees which are exclusive to the guild!
• Redwood trees:
• You must have a Woodcutting level of 90 to chop Redwood.
• Although the redwood logs cannot be fletched, you can trade them in to Guildmaster Lars for pieces of the Lumberjack outfit!
• NPCs:
• Guildmaster Lars:

• Shrine:

• Access:
• To get to the guild, you can use the newly added option in the Teleport wizard's Skilling section.
• Bank chests fixes:
• Unfortunately in the last update a few bank chests were missed for noting/unnoting items, including:
• Zulrah chest, duel arena chests, clan wars chest, neitiznot chests and the RFD chest in the thieving room.
• Fixed Double doors:
• Double doors (eg. Al-kharid gate) have been bugged for awhile in the sense that only one door would open. The bug causing this to happen has been fixed.)
• [Wilderness/PvP updates]
• Combat fix -- prayer:
• Previously, a major bug in combat to do with the timing of prayer switches caused the game to not recognize your prayer if you toggled it as soon as another player's attack animation began. There has been an extra tick given for this timer, to match OSRS's combat system.
• This has been fixed for melee, magic and ranged, including all special attacks.
• Following fix -- 2 bugs:
• 1. When attacking someone around a wall, or tree, etc, you would walk rather than run. This has been fixed.
• 2. Attacking someone diagonally from ~2 steps away would result in walking rather than running. This has been fixed.
• Guthix rest / Saradomin brew no longer add onto your combat timer
• Food timers in combat should be the same as OSRS now.
• Barrage orb added:
• This content is not from OSRS, but it is a useful feature that shows an "orb" graphics if you land a barrage on a target that is already frozen.
• Player priorities fixed to prevent mis-clicks/death-dotting:
• In a recent update, we made it so that the player you're attacking will appear on top of other players (in the case of players standing under your target). Unfortunately, if you ate food, walked away, or did any action other than attack them, this would reset. This no longer resets by doing these actions, and will only reset if you attack another player. This way your target will always stay on top when you need them to, and you won't mis-click on someone else.
• Granite maul special timer fixed:
• After attacking with the Granite maul's special attack, the timer before a normal* attack (not the next special if performing two in a row) was way too short. This has been fixed to match OSRS.
• If you did not attack anyone before using the Granite maul's special, you won't have any combat delay at all and can fit in a third hit after the two specials. If you were in combat and just hit with the maul(or another weapon) and then used the specials, your next hit will be based on the last weapon you used for a normal attack.
• Weapons fixed:
• Seercull now functions properly
• All four colored Dark bows now work properly
• Same bonuses/reqs/stats as the normal Dark bows
• Retribution fixed:
• Retribution will now deal up to 25% (minimum of 5%) of your base* Prayer level as damage to nearby enemies when you die.
• It will prioritize the target who last attacked you if you are in a single-combat zone.
• If you are in a multi-zone, Any player within 1 tile of your death location will be hit.
• Perfectionist tweak for melee defence animations:
• When getting hit with a melee attack, the defence animation would show 1 tick too soon.
• Food dropping in the wilderness is now limited:
• While you are still able to drop food/brews in the wilderness, any dropped will now have a 10x longer delay before appearing to other people.
• Approximately 10 minutes rather than 1 minute
• This only applies to food items and brews dropped in the wilderness.
• This update is meant to dissuade people from using the clan tactic of brew-dropping.

#59757 Add Ironmen to normal Highscores (and add rankings in skills)

Posted by Syntax on 07 March 2017 - 09:27 AM

EDIT: currently players who achieve 200m in a skill do not get to keep their hard worked for rank which should be set in stone. When another player gets 200m they get randomly moved into the pool of 200m in their skill.

• On the actual osrs server, Ironmen/UIM are included in the normal highscores

-The reason for this is the normal highscores are viewed as the default, why should we leave hard working ironmen out of the main page? @Hex and more

I'd also like to see ranks added to each skill, currently everyone is default rank of 0.

15fhxzd.png

When ranks are added, I'd like to see an extra option to look players up based on their ranks, rather than just the current username lookup

a1r69s.png

Everyone's combat level is listed as 1 as well.

2v14y1x.png

When you go to a specific players profile, for instance looking up there name - you cannot access there overall experience. The only way to do this is to go to the overall skills subcategory and rifle through them until you find that player... http://www.alora.io/...0&skill=overall

Certain players highscores are completely bugged, for instance @Hex's page isn't working due to "invalid characters".

#58549 Extreme Slayer Task Update!

Posted by Syntax on 02 March 2017 - 09:59 AM

Complete support on corp beast tasks, maybe you could buy the task but only w/ slayer points (more for each corp assigned) (would cost more than corp gives for killing)

Reason being is because super donors will just cancel until they get the task. Doing this would make it so they would have to complete other assignments, rather than just pay x amount of gold.

#58439 Zulrah Farming Suggestion

Posted by NaLoLBooster on 01 March 2017 - 11:28 PM

Everyone loves to farm zulrah for drops as iron man or slayer tasks. It's easy to say you can do multiple zulrah kills with one inventory, so if he could have a zul'andra teleport scroll drop on the ground after every kill (just like in osrs) that will teleport you back to the mainland outside zulrah's altar. This item could easily have them just teleport you where teleport mage brings you. This quality of life update would make camping zulrah a lot easier.

#58422 Hard Slayer Task updates!

Posted by Hex on 01 March 2017 - 09:40 PM

I think there also needs to be more monsters spawning for certain tasks like kurask, where the only place to kill them can barely sustain 2 people at a time.

It is extremely common for 2-4 people to be at kurasks at a time, and it is beyond frustrating.

I also agree with bumping up the amount of spectres per task, its a great task for ironmen but i waste of time most the time because the task size is like 20...

Also cant believe that we still cant block / extend tasks........ :FeelsBadMan:

#53743 A Corporeal Dilemma

Posted by Hellrising on 14 February 2017 - 09:36 AM

Support. I have another point to make on this subject. So Alora's corp has the same drop rate as the OSRS corp, you have to remember that OSRS has dozens of worlds and that means it has dozens of corps that can be killed at the same time. Alora only has 1 Corporeal Beast, compared to OSRS, sigil drops are MUCH MUCH more rare in Alora. This is simply because there are DOZENS of corps dropping sigils everyday in OSRS. A solution to this problem is definitely needed. I suggest either increase the drop rates of sigils or somehow place more than 1 Corp in Alora.

what about buffing the corp drop rate for a bit and adding a new corp with 10% more dr than the other one on the deep wild?

#53697 A Corporeal Dilemma

Posted by Syrinx on 14 February 2017 - 07:51 AM

To whomever it may concern,

As it stands, Corporeal Beast drop rates are on par with Old School Runescape.

There is a 1 in 585 chance of hitting the sigil drop table. When players hit the table, there is a 1 in 7 chance of obtaining an Elysian Sigil, a 3 in 7 chance of a Spectral Sigil and a 3 in 7 chance of an Arcane Sigil. Since the update, Corporeal Beast has become dead content. Corporeal Beast was buffed and the drop-rates were made more difficult. Now, maybe my math is terrible, but TNG camped and killed well over 3,000 Corporeal Beasts post-update and received no sigil drops. This is unacceptable.

I do not wish to see a flood of Elysian Sigils come into the game, but I also don't want to spend my entire 3 days off, grinding 10 hours a day of Corp just to get a Holy Elixir or two. This is a very big problem. I understand that the item is prestigious BECAUSE of the fact that they are so hard to get, but you're turning the community away from the boss at all by making the drop-rates similar to OSRS. If people wanted to get an Elysian Sigil with Osrs rates, they would go buy a cheap spear and take void to OSRS and get one themselves for 600M Oldschool GP.

My suggestion is simple:

• Lower the drop-rates a noticeable amount.

This is a private server, not Oldschool RS. There is currently 1 active Elysian Spirit Shield in the game and it belongs to I 074 I. Blank will never sell his and the other one is on an account of a former Alora player. Please Omicron,

#53076 Raids Weekend BONUS

Posted by Syntax on 12 February 2017 - 10:36 AM

As of now, raid groups can become difficult to find - compared to when the hype was at its peak on the opening weekend.

To fix this, and to keep it relevant for much time to come, we can provide an incentive to raid on the weekend. Different ideas could be a %10 increase on rare items, or 1m per raid completed.

These might be too overpowered, but the premise of this suggestion is rather an incentive for people to raid on the weekend.
