What is your suggestion?: Add the TOA raid points plugin to the TOA plugin

How would this benefit Alora?: This plugin is purely for information purposes it provides no advantage to us only shows us something we would otherwise have to calculate ourselves. It would be very nice to see the raid booster working and also calculate our unique chance for each raid we complete. Should help take some of the guess work out of doing TOA at different invocation levels.

Hello Alorians,

We are less then 3 weeks away from Alora's 6th Anniversary!

 

This year has surely flown by during the pandemic that never seems to end, however the community has never been stronger as a family! We've had a lot of new faces recently, and hopefully with the anniversary & the TOA update coming soon we can start claiming the throne that is ours in the RSPS scene! Double seeds for the rogues set is a reasonable suggestion, since our seed pickpocketing works more or less the same as OSRS.

Support all day. We need this in our lives.

It's not against the rules to vote on different IP's, it's only against the rules to use a VPN to vote. If you go somewhere else (school/work, etc...) you can vote again and claim that book, or tether your phone network to your laptop to vote, etc... But we don't disallow or discourage voting from other ip's you legitimately have access to, we just don't want players using VPN's to vote. Along with that, players can also easily buy vote books and transfer them to their ironmen to be opened. Even more, if you open the books during bonus vote points, you can get the sickle within a few days quite easily. RSPS's depend on positions in vote lists, and they're very competitive to maintain, so us pushing back against these changes is because we want players to vote as often as possible.

SUPPORT this suggestion. Would be nice to get (e)'s as drops / rewards. 

What is your suggestion?: Make bolt drops enchtanted as well. I dont see why making new bolts should give you enchanted immediately, but monster drops not. This means also chest rewards.

How would this benefit Alora?:

Seeing as Alora is a a OSRS based server & ToB has music to all of its rooms as well as Verzik, it makes sense for this to be implemented in the game.

It adds more of an edge to the boss fight as well and its edgy.

Also helps players maintain focus when completing these rooms & Olm.

We had a look at Twisted bow accuracy again, and we did find a bug causing the accuracy to be lower than intended (not damage though). We’re working on getting this accuracy to match the OSRS calculators 1:1 and then we will push a fix. As for other bosses such as Venenatis/Callisto, those are super tanky bosses that are meant to be difficult to hit. Even the OSRS strategy guide says that your best bet for Venenatis is to us either Ruby bolts (because other ranged attacks won’t hit) or Verac if meleeing.

After matching OSRS’s accuracy system (aside from Twisted bow and a few bosses/forms that have incorrect stats), we also apply a boost to the final accuracy because it is an RSPS and players want to feel like they’re hitting more often, which we understand. We currently set that boost at 20% and for most bosses and monsters, it seems fine, but that number could be adjusted.

I know that hitting every single time is a nice feeling, but I’m hoping that we can find a middle ground where we stay true to the mechanics of OSRS (requiring you to plan out your gear depending on what you’re fighting against), while also providing a slightly enhanced/easier experience that you’d expect from an RSPS.

We’ll be fixing the Twisted bow in a reboot tonight to make it as accurate as it should be, and we’ll continue to look into the stats on different bosses and make sure they all match up. If that doesn’t cut it, we can look at increasing that 20% boost if it’s what the community wants, or we can potentially nerf a few problematic bosses (Venenatis is unnecessarily tanky imo). Either way, we’ll figure it out and find something that we’re all comfortable with.
