I didn't do any voting personally as the submissions were anonymous so I didn't want to favor one person over another. We are slowly creeping towards our 4th Year Anniversary for Alora!

 

Alora officially went live on November 4th, 2016. I've personally been around since the start of Alora and can say I'm happy with what it has turned into over the years. I want to thank everyone that's been involved with Alora even if you just started yesterday. You guys have kept the server going strong since the start and words can't express how thankful we are for all of you.

 

Big shoutout to Omicron, Staff Team, and most importantly the community for keeping Alora going for nearly 4 years.

 

Similar to last year, we will be hosting a giveaway on top of the drop party we will be having. For everyone who leaves a like on this topic, you will be entered to win 1 Cosmetic/Ultimate mbox each! The 8th of February 2020 01:20 AM server time

 

A huge group of sweaty nerds gathered in Falador to protest 

The protest then later moved by flesh train to Edgeville.

 

The protest was related to the on-going GIM event which has caused bonus experience-less weekends.

The key figures in the protest was the train conductor Chuckoramma1, Forum moderator Morgen attended the riot, although his standing is questionable.

 

Rumor has it that Lowkey ignited the spark which caused the riot with a recent Discord message of his

 

After several minutes of non-stop spamming the community had their wish come true.

A devestated staff team reluctantly turned on bonus experience to quell the rebellion

 

This poor attempt failed to extinguish the passion of the rebellion - so it continued.

 

Rumor has it that top tier staff members such as event managers and admins may be targeted by riot assassins.
The Riot ended at 02:22 Server time.

The tension was high in Falador, and as you can see, Chuck was elected Cult leader.

 

Here you can see the train leaving Falador, headed towards Edgeville, official Home of Alora.

 

 

The path towards Edgeville is long and tiresome

Chuck leads the train with flawless pathfinding, bringing out the beauty of Alora's environment

 

 

When the Riot reached Edgeville the riot peaked and the spamming commenced.

 

 

Overheads were activated and the Riot had a level 52  prayer requirement.

 

 

As if Agility and Puro Puro didn't make you walk in circles enough.

The third time's the charm

I had a mental breakdown writing this

Lately I've been trying my luck at one of the arguably hardest minigames of Alora

The Inferno

 

 

 

 

Armed with cerebral palsy mechanics and withdrawal symptoms I charged head-first into the deep

 

Equipped with fool-proof equipment and a fire cape to sacrifice, everything was going according to plan

 

 

I wanted to finish my achievement diary

I wanted the forums award

 

I lusted after the forbidden cape

 

 

 

I wasn't prepared for the atrocities awaiting me under the city of lava

 

 

My first attempt ended in a pathetic kneeling position.

Zuk ended my life as Jad had his way with me

 

 

I was not dismayed. If I can make it to Zuk, I can defeat Zuk!

Second try I could have SWORN I killed Jad.

 

Somehow I red-barred him and he gave me the sucker punch of a lifetime

 

 

 

This time I was certain I could pull it off.

It was late and looking back, I should've never done a back to back attempt

 

Third try, let's go!

Fast forward to the most scuffed run ever

 

 

I forgot to restock my inventory so I had to snake around and far cast to save prayer points

I tank 3 Jad hits in the triple Jad wave like it was nothing

I brushed off two of them as 0s!

At Zuk I thought my luck had run out

But as I killed jad, and then the final ranger - I was certain that this would be the successful run!

Certainly some interesting animations in some areas of the game lol. I will get these fixed up, unfortunately a lot of manual tweaking is required to make 2010 mode work well (especially with OSRS-only items). It's a work in progress, but in a couple of weeks it should feel pretty solid :)

I finally completed tob today! I finished at killcount 1028. You could say it was grind but to me it was more fun than anything! Worked hard with a lot of very good raiders! Even though I received two dust I'm still going to make that collection log green! hopefully more scythes!
