6. Have a daily Automated PvP Tournament with random themes such as Dh pking, Nhing, Bridding, etc., that you can enter for free and that gives everyone the same default setup (temporary items that disappear outside the arena), so you enter it without anything worn or in inv. The tournament will be 1v1s only and will be a complete measure of skill alone, as opposed to tournaments won due to teaming, better gear, piling, etc. Rewards can be anything. If this becomes automated, this should not require an event manager to be more loaded with work. A chat yell message would say something like "Type ;;tournament to register for tournament." "Hybrid Tournament begins in 5 minutes." It then auto-matches randomly players together to 1v1 each other.
 

This should be a suggestion on it's own. As soon as I read it I thought it was a great idea. Not that there isn't enough information here but if you elaborated on this topic more and suggested it I think it would be an amazing idea.

For the rest of the suggestions there isn't a particular one that I didn't like or didn't agree with at all. Theses are all great suggestions and I appreciate you taking the time to suggest them all!

I think this would be a great idea, having these items that are already untradable go to the lost items manager, so UIM can have their skilling outfits when wanted

All it adds is another money sink, especially for irons who barely use cash anyways

I love the idea of giving Classic players more incentive to donate to the well which will create a money sink, but not sure about having Classic players rate at which the gold donated to well be more than normal players.

I like the idea of adding Rev caves but I don't see adding PvP armours being that good of a thing. Like Savitr mentioned there aren't even a lot of people who PK on Alora in the first place, and I don't think something like adding PvP armours would even create that much more PvP.

so we are supposed to not pk ? or if we do , not getting rewarded for it ?  I don't want to play normal because the xp rate is too high, not because i don't want to pk ..

I just want to play the game at a lower xp rate, why can't i have your privileges ? Lol

I believe the point that Dishonest is trying to make is that creating more 'advantages' for another game mode is really going against having a different game mode. I get what he means when he says if you want to PK play on a normal account. If I were to play the game and strictly want to PK I wouldn't play on a classic. You can fight other classic accounts and get their loot, but fighting other gamemodes shouldn't give you their drops.

Although what he states is very true and I can agree with it, I can see a small buff to the drops from killing people in other game modes not being too much of an issue.

I think that it being the best-in-slot for 1H range weapon is good enough, knowing it has the opprotunity to proc a ruby bolt spec (if you have the bolts).

I would like to see the accuracy on it buffed based on my use of it. 

I completely support this idea. I love that classic mode has it's own eco seperate from normals, but if this is the case and PvP drops from non-classic players are just a small amount of coins I think that is a little ridiculous.

I love the EP idea, or even just to get more drops depending on how much you risk.

They're wondering if they should make accounts.

Hello, it's me again, coming at ya with another forum suggestion thread!

 

In relation to my last thread regarding forum awards, I've decided to post a suggestion thread that will contain a list of potential new forum awards. I haven't designed or found any logos that I could provide as examples, but I'm sure if this suggestion was to be taken into account I'm certain the staff-team will be able to find someone who is capable of creating new logos to match the new potential awards. Anyways without further ado,  Here they are.

 

Milestones:

 

"Mr Popular" - can be obtained be reaching 250 like's on the forums.

"Posting Enthusiast" - can be obtained by reaching 500 post count on the forums.

 

General awards:

 

"Completionist" - can be obtained by unlocking the completionist monkey.

"Featured media" - can be obtained by being chosen to have a YouTube video featured on the home-page.

"High contributor" - can be obtained by donating a total of 2b+ to the good-well.

"Ex staff" - can be obtained if you have obtained a staff rank here at Alora. (Users are only eligble if they have not left on bad terms/been demoted)

"Addicted" - can be obtained for reaching over 50 days spent online in-game. There's currently a forum award for time spent online but not an in-game award.

 

That concludes my suggestion. If I come up with any further awards I'll be sure to add them to the list.

I like these ideas. I'm sure that in your suggestion you meant to just pitch the idea more than give the exact requirements for said Awards. I hope that is the case, anyways.

The suggestions that are in my quote are the ones that stuck out to me most. I really like the idea of the 'Mr Popular' award, it's something little but it's a bit of an achievement getting one - Same goes for 'Posting Enthusiast'.

Foe the General awards, I think 'Completionist' and 'Featured Media' would be really cool ones to have, and a lot of people would definitely apply for the Completionist one from what I can only imagine. As for 'High Contributor', it's a great idea but I figure @Omicron would have to add something to track your overall wealth donated to the well in-game, which that in itself would be a really cool addition to the game

The 'Ex-Staff' award would be really cool, I know Ex-Staff already have their own tag in-game and on the forums but it's something extra to show what you once were here at Alora.

For the 'Addicted' award, I think this has to do a bit with the Veteran rank, and I don't think it is as necessary seeing Veteran is already a rank requiring 50 days played in-game. If you were to make an award for that you might as well make an award for 50 days on the forums, which seems like you're just adding too many awards, which I don't think is a good idea. That goes back into my other post that I made on your General Discussion thread for Forum Awards.

Regardless of my $0.02, I think that these suggestions are fairly good, seeing that the parameters change a little bit, but overall great post!

I disagree with both options. Some pets people really like and just want the pet. Same goes with things like Twisted Bows, Prayer scrolls, and even Elysians. People will pay for them if needed, and these donations really help pay for the server due to their costs in the store, and how often people donate for those items.

the ratio was just an opinion. They could make it 10 dollars / 250m or whatever.

I like the idea of a charity thing, this is purely Dan's decision though, the money gained through donations goes toward the server.

Maybe if like every $50 donated, $1 went to charity during the month of December or something like that.
