Great idea. I also thought of something for this as a possibility if this does not work.

What if when someone picked up the bloody key, then any combat level can then attack them?

This would provide a way for lower levels to still try it, but those naked level 3's with no risk will die like the rest of us.

My suggestions are in order to make the donor zone more beneficial in terms of efficiency.

TradePost : adding in an additional way to access the TP

Teleport Wizard : adding in the Teleport Wizard here will add an ease to heal up to go back to whatever boss you may be fighting. Another option for placement would be inside the bank.
