#322088 My Resignation
Posted by
KP on 21 November 2019 - 04:46 PMHello Dads,As you may have noticed, my time on Alora has come to an end (for now, atleast). When I started playing the game, my mental health state was at an all time low. I was feeling lost, depressed.. I removed all of my friends from my life and it was as lonely as it gets. This game allowed me to rebuild myself. My confidence, my smile, everything that's positive was coming back as I played it and enjoyed every single day of it. I met some of the most incredible human beings here, and just because I am no longer a staff member does not mean we need to stop talking. There is no tinfoil bullshit reason as to why I am leaving, I am not upset with anyone but myself. I am at one of my lowest points when it comes to my mental health state, and I need to find myself again. I need to try new things, entertain myself and find my smile once again so that I can be the KP that fights every single day to put a smile on someone's face, even if it is online. As it stands right now, I am not able to do this every single week. That is why you see me trying new games and new activities IRL and online.I am not making this post for anyone to feel sorry for me, I am just here to say that these 2 years have been incredible. Alora and the people I've met here saved my life, and I don't want to lose any of you because of this.I made a post about mental health issues such as depression and anxiety disorders a few months ago (not linking it because I don't want people to think I want any form of attention, thats not what this post is about, or the one I am mentioning ), and that didn't change at all. I am still here for you guys, and hopefully you will be with me for the ride.If you have any issues or you are struggling mentally, let's help eachother out. Message me on discord, Purple#5940.Hopefully this is not a "goodbye", it's a "be right back".I love you all.~KP

Ahh.....
This one feels weird.
Anyways...
It's been a mostly fun almost 2 year staff journey for me. I got staff some point early 2018 and Admin in late August. Throughout my time in staff I've accomplished some pretty amazing things, But unfortunately unless you are/have been/will be staff you won't get to see them. : )
But, I think this is where the journey ends for me.
I've recently become too busy with real life things and other games to be able to have the presence I know I could have/previously did show.
I thank mostly everybody who has been staff during my time and helped me or worked alongside me.
I'll tag a few people below who currently come to mind but I know I'm missing a ton of older staff. (I'm getting old, Barely remember breakfast.)
(No particular order):
@
KP @
Mack Without all of you this time wouldn't have happened/been near as fun. Thank you guys.
See you later, bye bye
#320411 Been a blast.

Hello brothers,
It has been some time now since I have "quit" Alora, I have alot going on IRL right now, and feel I need to focus on that and fix things, I have been playing for 3 years now which is still crazy! the staff team do not get enough credit when I say, they do a fantastic job, from Admin to Server Support, best staff team by far, I am still grateful to get the oppotunity to be a member of the staff team and hope I did well,
The community has been the best community and still will be the best, I hope Alora grows and grows, me returning full time isn't likely for along time I feel, 2020 will be 15k Zulrah and claim the hoodie, apart from that, I think it's time for a change in my life in alot of things.
Thanks for the good memories and amazing people I met in the community, thanks to the staff team again and good old Dad Omicron!
Much love Lads
See you sometime.

Brief explanation: Our main goal is and will always be to protect the integrity of the game and all players in the community. However we feel this rule has been enforced too strictly. We acknowledge that at times use of certain language is simply part of modern culture and hopefully this rule update will help balance that out.

Date & time of updated rule: October 27th, 2019
Updated section: Rule #9: Multi-Logging
Time or date that the updated rule(s) will be put into effect: Immediately
Part(s) added, changed or removed: Highlighted in YELLOWPreviously:
Spoiler9. Multi-Logging
Multi-logging is not against the rules of Alora, as we do allow players to be logged into multiple accounts at once. However, we do not allow multi-logging to gain an excessive advantage over other users. We are striving to maintain an environment in which no player has an exponential advantage over other players. First offenders will receive a 24-hour ban, Second offenders will receive a 48-hour ban and a bank wipe if deemed necessary, followed up with a permanent ban, and finally, an IP-ban.
- • a. Playing on multiple accounts at once while participating in the same skill, boss, minigame or activity is not allowed. An example of this would be two accounts that are thieving at the same time or two accounts that are killing Corporeal Beast; these examples are against the rules. It is allowed to have one account skilling and another account bossing. This rule also applies to the use of the second account to assist yourself with bossing or skilling in the wilderness.
- • b. Multi-logging in the wilderness is allowed if you have no interaction between any of your accounts. If you have one account skilling in the resource area, and another account killing people in the Revenant Caves this is OK. It is not OK, for example, to skill in the resource area and kill other players there on your alternate account. It is also not allowed to use a second account to protect your accounts in the wilderness. Scouts are also allowed to an extent, as long as they do not allow an unfair advantage over other players in the Wilderness. Firstly, scouts must be Level 3 combat and have ABSOLUTELY NO ITEMS equipped or in their inventory. Secondly, for example, if you bring a scout to Chaos Elemental to see who is there BEFORE teleporting there, this is okay. It is not okay, however, to plant a scout outside of the Rev Caves entrance while you kill Revs so that you can see when PKers are coming. Scout must leave before the main account can teleport to this location.

Brief explanation: The way people play Runescape today is much different than it used to be and it is extremely common place to use more than one account to do things efficiently. This being said we will be allowing players who are able to multitask on multiple accounts to do so with higher effort resulting in higher reward. However, seeing as Alora only has one world, the integrity of the wilderness must be maintained and the rules for Wilderness Multilogging have not changed.
Keep up to date with our rules.

Hello everyone,
Today's update brings some long-awaited Chambers of Xeric changes that allow you to solo more efficiently. We've also made some cool changes to the Voting system that allows accounts that were previously limited to 1 vote book every 12 hours (EIM/GIM/Realism etc) to open multiple books, but only 1 book for each bonus type (5 total). We've also added a random chance at obtaining the Alora-exclusive 'The Guns' pet, as well as the ability to purchase Rada's blessing (2) from the vote shop.
You are now finally able to manage the Kingdom of Miscellania! Speak to Advisor Ghrim to get started. Last but not least, we've worked hard to get the latest OSRS content out from their update last week, which introduced the new dungeon, Jormungand's Prison. Within this dungeon, you can find new Basilisk-type creatures that drop Basilisk jaws, which can be attached to the Neitiznot helm to create the Neitiznot faceguard.
In Other News…
For future updates that take longer than a week, we will make it a priority to release a development blog halfway through to show what we are working on. For obvious reasons, if we are working on getting an update out just 1 week after the previous one, there simply isn't enough time to write up a full dev blog, so they will only be written up for updates that are more time-consuming.
- Bug fixes:
- Removed the message that would print out into the chatbox every time you were Aerial fishing.
- Inviting players to your GIM group that have 1-2 letter usernames is now fixed.
- Catching kebbits through Falconry will now longer crush their bones if you don't have a bone crusher in your inventory or equipment.
- Name changes for EIM will now allow you to keep the old storage box items (no items lost) as intended.
- Players can now move around freely while Aerial fishing.
- Red dragon tasks will no longer be assigned from Konar if Dragon Slayer 2 is not completed.
- Fixed an issue where some areas in Iorwerth dungeon would not count towards Konar tasks.
- The leaf-bladed sword now requires 50 attack to equip, instead of 65.
- Seargant Steelwill, Seargant Grimspike, (Bandos minions) and K'ril Tsutsaroth (Zamorak boss) should no longer attack you if you are outside of their respective GWD rooms.
- This also applies to instances.
- Fixed a bug with agility laps not saving properly.
- Corporeal beast's defence against Ranged-based attacks has been increased.
- Tormented bracelet requirements:
- The requirement to craft this bracelet, 95 Crafting, has been added.
- Zalcano bug fix:
- You can no longer cast Ancient Magicks spells on Zalcano or the Golem.
- Konar smoke devil task fix:
- For players who were tasked with Smoke dungeon smoke devils, and wanted to kill the Thermonuclear smoke devil in an instance, the instanced kill would not count towards your task.
- This has been fixed, and both instanced and non-instanced kills will now properly count.
- For players who were tasked with Smoke dungeon smoke devils, and wanted to kill the Thermonuclear smoke devil in an instance, the instanced kill would not count towards your task.
- Fixed a bug which caused Theatre of Blood to crash if a party member had a 1-letter name.
- Moonclan helm will no longer cause your head to be invisible.
- Quality of Life:
- Players can now sell the Golden Tench to Alry the Angler for 100 Molch pearls.
- Players now have the option to hide the warning when entering the Karuulm dungeon permanently.
- Chambers of Xeric changes:
- Great Olm (final boss) additions:
- Falling crystal phase:
- During the falling crystal phase, it was difficult to know exactly which tile the crystals would fall on. To counter this, we've added a shadow on the exact tile each crystal will fall on, allowing you to avoid that tile and not take damage more efficiently.
- Head turning:
- Previously, Olm's head would always face one direction (straight ahead) and not turn to any side. This means that it's attacks would inflict damage on you no matter where you were standing.
- Olm now periodically turns his head to the right or left, allowing you to avoid taking damage from his attacks if you are on the opposite side of where he is facing.
- This doesn't negate the damage that you take from special attacks, such as when falling spikes follow you.
- If Olm cannot find a player to attack in the direction it is facing, it will always turn to face the nearest player. This means that an experienced solo player can avoid taking much of the damage, but must run back and forth to avoid the direction Olm is facing.
- Olm now periodically turns his head to the right or left, allowing you to avoid taking damage from his attacks if you are on the opposite side of where he is facing.
- Previously, Olm's head would always face one direction (straight ahead) and not turn to any side. This means that it's attacks would inflict damage on you no matter where you were standing.
- Misc.
- Fixed the projectiles that come out of Olm's mouth not being properly positioned.
- Falling crystal phase:
- Great Olm (final boss) additions:
- Blade of Saeldor changes:
- Each crystal shard now provides 100 charges, as opposed to 25.
- The maximum amount of charges that can be added to the blade are now 20,000, instead of 2,500.
- Vote Pet addition:
- Players now have a 1/500 chance to receive ’The Guns’ as a pet when opening a vote book.
- Players will have the option to “stroke” ’The Guns’, which will encourage him to start counting his workouts for all players to hear.
- Rada’s Blessing:
- Rada’s blessing 2 is now available in the vote shop for 600 vote points.
- The blessing has the following perks:
- An 8% chance to catch an extra fish when it is equipped.
- An extra 5% reduced burn chance when using the Hosidius range(totaling 15% burn reduction)
- An additional 10% blood runes when crafting blood runes.
- A 5% chance to get an additional dense essence block when mining dense essence.
- Protection from the burn effect in the Karuulm Slayer Dungeon when equipped.
- Unlimited teleports to Mount Karuulm
- Unlimited teleports to Land’s End
- Vote book system changes:
- We’ve implemented a few changes to the vote book system, which should be beneficial to everyone. This new system should ensure that more Alora receives more votes, and continues to grow, and will also be quite a bit more beneficial for all players who regularly vote.
- One of the main changes is that players of all game modes can now select 5 of the vote book boosts per day.
- Regular/classic/ironman/Ultimate Ironman players can still open an unlimited amount of vote books per day, however they’ll only be able to select the experience boost(as per usual) if they’ve used their 5 boosts already for the day.
- Selecting bonus experience will not count towards the 5 boosts if a player has not used all of them yet.
- Group/Elite/Hardcore ironmen, as well as Realism players will be limited to 5 total vote books per day, which includes experience boosts as well.
- Since these game modes can now open 5 vote books per day, as opposed to the previous 1, the vote points received per book has been lowered from 25 to 15.
- Regular/classic/ironman/Ultimate Ironman players can still open an unlimited amount of vote books per day, however they’ll only be able to select the experience boost(as per usual) if they’ve used their 5 boosts already for the day.
- Restrictions:
- Players can only select a boost if it is currently not active.
- For example, if a player has 20 minutes left on a raids boost, they will not be able to open a vote book and select a raids boost again until the 20 minutes have elapsed, and the bonus is no longer active.
- Players can only select a boost if it is currently not active.
- One of the main changes is that players of all game modes can now select 5 of the vote book boosts per day.
- Vote book transferring:
- Vote books can now be transferred to GIM/EIM/Realism players by "using" the item on them.
- This was already allowed for most Ironmen, and was possible on the other game modes by trading auth codes, so this makes it a little bit more convenient.
- Vote books can now be transferred to GIM/EIM/Realism players by "using" the item on them.
- We’ve implemented a few changes to the vote book system, which should be beneficial to everyone. This new system should ensure that more Alora receives more votes, and continues to grow, and will also be quite a bit more beneficial for all players who regularly vote.
- Managing Miscellania:
- We’ve decided to add the Kingdom of Miscellania management to Alora, in hopes that players will use it to passively gather resources in exchange for their spare cash.
- How it works:
- Players can get to Advisor Ghrim by using the “Miscellania” teleport in the teleport menu.
- Note: Unfortunately, due to restrictions placed on Ultimate Ironmen, they cannot manage the kingdom of Miscellania, since they do not have a bank which the resources can be deposited in.
- We’ve made it so that Ultimate Ironmen can still use the coffer to store up to 75m if they wish, and none of it will be drained, unless they de-iron, in which case the days since their gold was deposited will be counted retroactively.
- Speaking to Advisor Ghrim will open up an interface where players can choose to deposit/withdraw money to the coffer, for the kingdom, and allocate up to 15 workers to 4 resources(Herbs/Flax, Wood, Fish(raw or cooked), and Mining).
- The more workers allocated to a given resource will result in more resources when you collect, and any idle workers will not provide anything, so be sured to use them all.
- Players can deposit up to 75m into the coffer, and every 12 hours, 10% of the coffer(up to 750k) will be drained. If less than the max(750k) is drained from the coffer on a given day, it will factor into your resources later on, with the max rewards for that given day being reduced.
- This might occur if you only had, for example, 5m left in your coffer, therefore only 500k(10% of 5m) would be drained, leaving you with 66% of the max reward for that day.
- Players can collect their resources at most once every 12 hours, or leave their resources to collect for up to 6 months.
- After 6 months, coffers will no longer be drained until the player collects their resources.
- Maximum resource rewards: The following resources below would be the maximum amount of resources a player could received each day if they have 10 workers allocated to that resource, and 750k gp was drained from the coffer:
- Herbs: 14 x Grimy Tarromin, 10 x Grimy Ranarr, 20 x Grimy Harralander, 13 x Grimy Irit, 9 x Grimy Kwuarm, 7 x Grimy Cadantine, 7 x Grimy Lantadyme, 7 x Grimy Dwarf Weed, 9 x Grimy Avantoe.
- Flax: 1750 x Flax.
- Woodcutting: 450 x Maple Logs, 60 x Teak Logs, 60 x Mahogany Logs, 8 x Birds nest.
- Fish(Raw): 250 x Raw Monkfish, 130 x Raw Shark.
- Fish(Cooked): 250 x Monkfish, 130 x Shark.
- Mining: 700 x Coal, 15 x Rune Ore, 5 x a random type of gem(Dragonstone(rare), diamond, ruby, sapphire, emerald).
- Teleport Wizard interface updates:
- Miscellania teleport has been added to both the 'Cities' page and the 'Skilling' page, as it falls under both sections.
- Jormungand's Prison has been added to the Dungeon teleports (2nd to last teleport).
- Website update:
- Players with 1 or 2 letter names were unable to log in on the forums, with the error "You must fill in both fields" being displayed.
- This issue is now fixed, and you should be able to log in normally.
- Fixed a visual bug on the vote page on mobile.
- Players with 1 or 2 letter names were unable to log in on the forums, with the error "You must fill in both fields" being displayed.
- Updated to the latest OSRS data:
- This gives us the ability to use the very latest maps/items/monsters and more!
- Jormungand's Prison:
- Released last week in OSRS, Jormungand's Prison is a dungeon that contains Dagannoths, Basilisks, and the never-seen-before Basilisk Knights.
- Multi-combat:
- Most of the dungeon is multi-combat, except for where the Basilisk and Basilisk knights are located.
- Access:
- You can teleport here using the Dungeon page through the Teleport Wizard.
- # of monsters:
- 49 Dagannoths
- 12 Basilisks
- 19 Basilisk knights
- Basilisk Knights:
- These creatures, which require level 60 Slayer to fight, attack with both magic/melee combat styles and require you to wear a Mirror shield or V's shield when fighting them, otherwise they may deal very high damage.
- Occasionally, these creatures can fire out a red projectile, which you must dodge to avoid taking high damage. Simply stepping 1 tile away will suffice.
- They have a unique drop — The Basilisk jaw:
- The Basilisk jaw can be attached to a Helm of Neitiznot to create the untradeable Neitiznot faceguard, which is an enhanced variant of the regular helmet. (Bonus comparison in media below)
- These creatures, which require level 60 Slayer to fight, attack with both magic/melee combat styles and require you to wear a Mirror shield or V's shield when fighting them, otherwise they may deal very high damage.
- Basilisk Sentinel:
- This creature is the superior variant of the knights which may sometimes appear.
- Cannon use:
- Cannons can be used in certain parts of the dungeon, but not in the rooms with the Basilisks or Basilisk Knights.
- Multi-combat:
- Released last week in OSRS, Jormungand's Prison is a dungeon that contains Dagannoths, Basilisks, and the never-seen-before Basilisk Knights.
- V's shield:
- A new shield has been added to the Slayer reward shop for 6,000 points.
- This shield is an upgrade to the mirror shield, and provides enhanced defensive bonuses (identical to an adamant kite shield).
- It is useful for fighting Basilisk knights, as it will greatly reduce their damage.
- Color-changing effect:
- The color of this shield will change depending on the color of your feet.
- This shield is an upgrade to the mirror shield, and provides enhanced defensive bonuses (identical to an adamant kite shield).
- A new shield has been added to the Slayer reward shop for 6,000 points.
- Store updates:
- Cosmetic Mystery Box (Ironman accessible):
- A new mystery box has been added!
- This box differs from other boxes mostly due to the fact that Ironman/Realism modes can purchase it, as it strictly contains cosmetics that do not provide an in-game advantage.
- More importantly, this box is the only mystery box that has a rare chance of obtaining items from our custom donation list, such as the wise old man stick, bedsheet, and more.
- This box differs from other boxes mostly due to the fact that Ironman/Realism modes can purchase it, as it strictly contains cosmetics that do not provide an in-game advantage.
- Many different items can be obtained from the box, including:
- ULTRA rare loot:
- Tier 1: Partyhats (+ phat with specs), 3rd Age Druidic, Grain, Bunny ears, Wise old man staff, Peng pet

Hello everyone,
Today's update brings many different suggestions from you guys, and results from recent polls you've voted on. We've made sure to include a ton of bug fixes and QOL, as well as some new content such as Skotizo in the Catacombs, many new client settings, new clue scrolls, MM2 tunnels and Duel Arena presets. I know that we mentioned that development blogs were going to be posted if the update was going to be longer than a week, but there were many unexpected delays this week that made us want to focus our time fully on working on the actual update itself, and we hope that considering the size of this update, you will not be disappointed :)
- Bug Fixes:
- Bryophyta's staff is now tradable.
- Fixed a bug where Kylie Minnow wouldn’t stop players from fishing if they exceeded 3000 minnows.
- Fixed a bug where the player needed a noted lava battlestaff to enchant it
- Fixed an issue where Disciples of Iban would spawn as Scout NPC's.
- Fixed a bug that required players to have a jade in their inventory to make topaz amulets.
- Fixed a bug where all storage bags would notify the player that they deposited the incorrect number of items.
- This bug applied to the looting bag, herb sack, gem sack, bone sack, and seed box.
- The items were all correctly deposited, it was just the amount shown to the player in the chat box that was inaccurate.
- Fixed a bug causing the face mask to make the player's head invisible.
- Fixed a bug with the falador tunnel shortcut.
- Fixed a bug where players could equip/unequip the falconer/cormorant gloves.
- Fixed a bug that required players to have 2 untanned black dragon hide instead of the tanned variant to make a black d’hide shield.
- Added Hespori killcount tracker
- Gilded D'hide Chaps/Vambs no longer require 40 defence to equip.
- The white/purple raids light now shines above the chest properly.
- Fixed an issue where selecting raw/cooked fish in Kingdom of Miscellania would give the opposite type of fish.
- The Bonecrusher Necklace now acts as a bone crusher if it is in the players’ inventory
- Note that without the necklace equipped, players will not receive the prayer bonus.
- Added the defense bonuses to the music cape.
- Fixed a Kingdom of Miscellania bug where right-click collecting would say you have nothing to collect if you hadn’t yet opened the interface to refresh the coffers.
- Fixed a Kingdom of Miscellania bug causing players to only get the seed/gem rewards one, instead of based on the number of days they had waiting to be collected.
- The bug causing pets to randomly disappear and not be able to be re-claimed has (hopefully) been fixed.
- Added the cutting animation when cutting Aerial Fish.
- Quality of Life:
- Players can now right-click trade Elnock Inquisitor in Puro Puro.

- Players who choose to revert their items will not be refunded their crystal shards used to create the pieces, only the seeds used for them.
- Added basilisk head to the list of boss heads that can be sacrificed to the dark altar for prayer experience.
- Noted herbs can be cleaned for 1000 coins each as opposed to 500.
- Doing so will not provide any Herblore experience.
- Right clicking “Clean” on Zahur will still only clean the un-noted herbs, so that players do not accidentally clean their noted herbs and end up paying double.
- Players who wish to clean noted herbs must speak to Zahur, and she will present an option to do so.
- Added White Apron spawns to Wydin’s Food store and Gerrant’s fishing supplies in Port Sarim.
- These are required for one of the new clue scroll emote steps.
- Wilderness changes:
- Players can no longer destroy any items in the wilderness while in combat with an NPC/Player.
- Players now have priority when attacking their bounty hunter targets in single combat areas in the wilderness.
- If a target is in combat with another player or another npc, and the player’s target attacks him while he is in combat, that will take precedence.
- Kingdom of Miscellania changes:
- The maximum 14 Tarromin daily herb reward has been replaced with 8 Toadflax.
- Players now have a chance to get an elite clue scroll when claiming fishing resources.

- Players can now change their skin color at the makeover mage, whether it’s a custom skin or a donator skin.
- Each time a custom skin/donator skin is purchased or set, it will be saved to the players unlocked skins, so they’ll be able to cycle through their unlocked skins at the makeover mage.
- When opening the makeover mage interface, the skin color you currently have will first be saved to your unlocked skin colors.
- This means that players(particularly those who bought a custom skin) will not need to have their skin colors re-instated, they’ll instead be automatically added to your unlocked skins.
- Players can now change their skin color at the makeover mage, whether it’s a custom skin or a donator skin.
- Duel Arena Presets:
- Players can now save and load presets in the duel arena interface.
- When loading a preset, it will save upon logout and can be used whenever the player desires.
- The load last duel preset is also now functional.
- Players can use this to apply the same settings as the previous duel they were in, however this preset won’t save upon logout.
- Players can now save and load presets in the duel arena interface.
- Barbarian fishing changes:
- Players can now use a knife on any of the leaping fish caught from barbarian fishing for cooking experience.
- Cutting a leaping fish will provide players with 10 base cooking experience for leaping trout/salmon, and 15 base cooking experience for leaping sturgeon.
- Cutting a leaping fish will also reward players with fish offcuts, which can be used as bait.
- Players can now use a knife on any of the leaping fish caught from barbarian fishing for cooking experience.
- The revenant cave teleport scroll now teleports players to the level 40 wilderness entrance, as opposed to the level 17 one.

- Looting Bag Changes:
- Clicking “Open” on the looting bag will not turn it into an open looting bag which will automatically deposit items that are picked up in the wilderness.
- Clicking “Open” will also open the looting bag without warning, however clicking “settings” will still provide a confirmation warning to open the looting bag.

- Cryptic clues:
- These are a brand new type of clue scroll to Alora, in which players must follow the hints to find their next clue.
- Map clue scrolls:
- Monkey Madness 2 tunnels:
- We’ve added the Monkey Madness 2 tunnels to allow players to burst/chin train, and believe this will give a more pronounced use for chinchompas.
- To access the tunnels, speak to the teleport wizard and navigate to the Monsters section and select Maniacal Monkeys.
- There are 2 of these tunnels, and they can be accessed by using the rope in either tunnel to move between the two.

- Store changes:
- We’ve cleaned up a few things on the store, including:
- A better looking ‘sale’ badge on sale items.
- The ‘Buy Tokens’ button will now glow to show players who are unfamiliar with the store how to buy tokens. After you click it, it will no longer glow while you are on the token purchase page.
- Bug fix:
- GIM/Realism players were sometimes having their rank stripped and replaced by a Donator rank, which should no longer occur.
- We’ve cleaned up a few things on the store, including:
- Forum changes:
- Last Username display:
- Some players who have changed their name would not have their old name show up on their profile (or when they post).
- This is because the old name had a space in it, but these names will now be shown as intended.
- Some players who have changed their name would not have their old name show up on their profile (or when they post).
- Last Username display:
- Hiscores changes:
- The Hiscores will no longer show 2 XP less than your total (Eg. Players who have maxed out every skill were showing 4,599,999,998 XP instead of 4,600,000,000).

- Remove Filter:
- Players can remove previously added filters (by name), which will once again cause those items to show up as overlays.
- Minimum item value:
- Players can specify a minimum item value for overlays, so any items that are worth less than this minimum value will not show up.
- Clear filters:
- We’ve also added an option to clear all the filters immediately, so players do not have to go through all of them manually if they wish to reset their filters.
- Add Filter:

SpoilerHello everyone,
Spooktober is here, which means that Alora's annual Halloween event is now live! Two spooky ghosts at home can transport you there directly.
As you travel north of Lumbridge, you'll notice that a player has been trapped by what appears to be two spooky goblins wearing bedsheets. If you're feeling brave enough, perhaps you can take a stab at helping the player out.
This year's event unlocks some all new cosmetics (Spooky outfit & Pumpkin lantern) to make your Fashionscape experience even more spooky!
Additionally, an even spookier cosmetic outfit is available for those of you who want their outfit to be slightly more exclusive!
- The Spookier costume + Skeleton lantern (worn in weapon slot unlike Pumpkin lantern, which is a shield) can be obtained through two different methods :
- 1/150 chance of receiving the entire set from Cosmetic mystery boxes
- Purchasing for 1,000 tokens through the store
- This set will be removed after Halloween, so it might be worthwhile to grab a set to collect!
Get out there and take on the event…

Draisaitl Idk, a dog maybe. I see how my dog lives and wish I could live life without a care in the world LOL

#319618 Add Silver Sickle To Additional Shops or Lower Its Price
Posted by Omicron on 01 November 2019 - 12:20 PM
The idea of the vote shop is to keep people voting regularly, and to motivate players to do so we need to provide many items that are useful and are not terribly easy/quick to obtain.

- Players can now use a knife on any of the leaping fish caught from barbarian fishing for cooking experience.

- Looting Bag Changes:
- Clicking “Open” on the looting bag will not turn it into an open looting bag which will automatically deposit items that are picked up in the wilderness.

#315565 QoL changes and additions
Posted by God on 26 September 2019 - 08:06 AM
Hey guys,
Today I'm gonna be running a quick little poll to help us see where the community stands on a few subjects and the direction we should go about future updates.
*NOTE* Just because something is polled and passes, does NOT guarantee it will be added.
I'll leave a brief description for each poll question below.
Should GIM be allowed to open Bloody chests and supply chests?
- Currently, Group Ironman accounts do not have access to Bloody chests/Supply chests. This was enabled for the tourney but never polled to be opened back up since release.
Should dragon bolts be added to the drop tables of bloody chests/supply chests?
- Currently, The price of "Dragon bolts" are upwards of 100k+each as the only source of them is killing Vorkath. Adding these to the chest would help supply some extra ones, Lowering the prices and making them more available.
Should the chest now give a red skull preventing players from protecting item for 2 1/2 minutes after opening?
- Currently, upon opening a supply chest you get teleblocked for 2 1/2 minutes but only have a regular white skull. Meaning if someone risks the 1m to open the chest and they get a rare item, they can simply just protect it. Changing to red skull will make it more "dangerous" as intended.
Should barbarian fishing be buffed slightly to make it better XP? It would roughly match manta rays, But would be less afk and not provide the food that fishing mantas would.
- Current rates are severely under manta rays which is AFK and provides top tier food. Barb fishing would be a 'More effort, More XP' method for training fishing.
Should Molch Pearl fishing be slightly buffed to obtain pearls quicker?
- Self-explanatory
Should the farming timers be changed to be 1/4th of OSRS timers? (Currently 1/8th)
- This change is suggested to make it a little bit more of a passive skill as it is intended to be. Currently, you can seemingly train Farming constantly which is not feasible in OSRS. With the implementation of yield boosting items and bonuses with the Magic secateurs, composting, and the farming/max capes we are able to yield far more crops than before. This in-turn results in extra XP making Farming even faster than it was prior. By changing the timers to be 1/4 of OSRS timers and fixing a few of the patches that aren't working currently players would be able to yield more from farming while having to do less frequent runs.
Should the Kraken Tentacle degrade after 10,000 hits?
- A few updates ago the kraken tentacle was changed to dissolve as it does on OSRS. This was reverted due to community reaction but was mentioned that it would be re-polled.
This is a way to help remove whips from the eco.
Should Sarachnis be able to be instanced?
- Self explanatory
Should additional plugins be added to alora? (Examples below)
These are a few examples of possible additions. If this passes a new poll will be created to determine priority of these being added with a bigger list.
Should a non-wilderness version of Skotizo be added?
- This suggestion is here and explains what this would cover: https://www.alora.io.../58325-skotizo/

#314937 [21/9/19] Falconry, Aerial Fishing, Bottomless compost bucket & more!
Posted by Omicron on 21 September 2019 - 02:28 AM
Hello everyone,
This week's update comes with many new pieces of content such as the Falconry method of hunting, Aerial fishing to catch fish as well as the release of the Anglerfish outfit which comes with a Fishing XP boost, the Bottomless compost bucket dropped by Hespori which holds up to 10,000 compost and doubles your current compost, the ability to custom-donate for a username change for any username, and many other bug fixes/QOL.
- Bug fixes:
- Username fixes:
- Group Ironman mode was bugged for players who had a 1 or 2 letter username.
- EIM partners with 1-2 letter names were bugged and have been fixed.
- Slayer partners with 1-2 letter names were bugged and have been fixed.
- Fixed many staff command bugs that were blocking them from properly issuing punishments to 1-2 letter names.
- Fixed a bug with the Prifddinas agility course which stopped you from getting experience from the portals that appear throughout the course.
- The ::customs link to the Custom donation thread has been updated to the new and improved thread created by @
Mack (https://www.alora.io/forums/topic/58281-custom-donations-donating-with-osrs-gpbtc) - Fixed another Dragon Slayer II requirement bug with the Monkey Madness king (hopefully the final one)
- Fixed a bug which caused your client to crash when using the Dragon pickaxe (or) special attack (the ornamented one from Zalcano).
- Removed duplicate (3) Tool Leprechauns at the Prifddinas farming patch.
- The auto-noting feature for bones that is given to Immortal donators was not properly noting Superior dragon bones, and has been fixed.
- Username fixes:
- Username changes (ANY USERNAME):
- Considering our test run with username changes went well for the most part, we're now opening username changes for normal names as well!
- This means that you're not only limited to rare (and more expensive) 1-2 letter usernames.
- The cost for this type of username change is $25 at the moment.
- This is still done manually by me, but will be automated through the use of a store-bought item in the near future, which will reduce the price even further.
- This means that you're not only limited to rare (and more expensive) 1-2 letter usernames.
- Considering our test run with username changes went well for the most part, we're now opening username changes for normal names as well!
- Castle wars fix:
- A bug which caused barricades that have been destroyed/burned to still have an invisible 'barrier' on the tile that they were on, permanently locking that tile, should no longer occur.
- Bottomless compost bucket:
- This can now be obtained as a drop from Hespori! (1/35 chance)
- It is tradable when empty. Players can right-click it to empty it out, though any compost in it will be lost.
- Features:
- It can be filled with compost, super compost, or ultra compost.
- You can use it directly on a compost bin to fill it with compost.
- The bucket can be filled with up to 10,000 uses of one type of compost.
- It can be filled from a compost bin or from buckets of compost (noted ones work as well).
- Each bucket added counts as two uses, so only 5,000 buckets are required to fill it to the maximum.
- This effectively doubles the use of each compost bin that is added to the bucket!
- Each bucket added counts as two uses, so only 5,000 buckets are required to fill it to the maximum.
- It can be filled from a compost bin or from buckets of compost (noted ones work as well).
- It can be filled with compost, super compost, or ultra compost.
- This can now be obtained as a drop from Hespori! (1/35 chance)
- Friends list changes:
- The maximum number of friends you can have is now 400 rather than 200, to match OSRS.
- Previously, although we updated the friends list to 300 months ago, it was actually still capped at 200 friends due to a bug which is now fixed.
- The maximum number of friends you can have is now 400 rather than 200, to match OSRS.
- Players can now use a dragon boots ornament kit on their dragon boots to gild them.
- The dragon boots ornament kit can be purchased from the vote shop for 300 vote points.
- Falconry:
- Players can now hunt kebbits in the Falconer area.
- The Falconer area can be reached by speaking to the teleport wizard and going into the skilling menu.
- Players can also reach the area by exiting the kraken cave and running straight east.
- To start hunting, players must speak to Matthias, who will explain the basics of Falconry, and allow you to “have a go with his bird” if you wish to do so.
- The cost to “have a go with his bird” is 50,000 coins, and the falconers glove can be used until the player either logs out, or teleports away/uses the stile to exit the area.
- Players can catch the following Kebbits:
- Spotted Kebbit:
- Requires level 43 hunter to catch, and provides 104 base experience.
- Upon catching the Spotted Kebbit, players will receive 1 Spotted kebbit fur, and bones.
- Dark Kebbit:
- Requires level 57 hunter to catch, and provides 132 base experience.
- Upon catching the Dark Kebbit, players will receive 1 Dark kebbit fur, and bones.
- Dashing Kebbit:
- Requires level 69 hunter to catch, and provides 156 base experience.
- Upon catching the Dashing Kebbit, players will receive 1 Dashing kebbit fur, and bones.
- Spotted Kebbit:
- Players who have the bonecrusher with them will not receive any bones, instead they will be buried automatically.
- Aerial Fishing:
- To access this area, players can use any of the boaties that are on the docks on Lake Molch in Zeah, or use the teleport in the teleport wizard interface.
- To begin, speak to Alry the Angler, and he will allow you to use his Cormorant to catch fish.
- The following fish can be caught:

- Catching a bluegill will provide 100 base fishing experience, and 130 base hunter experience.
- Require level 91 fishing and level 87 hunter.
- Bluegill:
- Players only have a chance to catch the aforementioned fish if they have the levels required to do so, and the higher their levels, the more likely they are to catch a better fish.
- Whenever a fish is caught, there is a 1/20,000 chance of getting a Golden Tench, an incredibly rare cosmetic weapon.
- Every 3-6 catches, the cormorant will consume a fish chunk, or king worm from the player’s inventory.
- If the player doesn’t have any king worm’s or fish chunks, the cormorant will refuse to catch fish.
- King worms can be obtained from the king worm pile on the ground next to Alry the angler.

We hope you enjoy the time & effort that we put into getting this update out as quickly as possible :) If you encounter any bugs, please report them immediately.

This month, we will be rewarding a total of $500 to the top 3 of this event!
What is The Hardcore Champion Challenge ?
Well, we usually do these tournament where you have a certain amount of time to prepare your account and fight it out in the end.
This time, we will be eliminating the PvP Factor out of it, and we will be introducing a point system, rewarding PVMers and Skillers. You will have 2 weeks to make sure you accumulate the most amount of points possible, according to the images we will provide in the topic. You can keep track of your items and post the screenshot with the items you got in this post, using this website: http://ironmanosrs.com/
Once the two weeks are done, we will be checking the accounts with the most amount of points and anounce the winners !
This is a great way to reward people that are willing to either grind hard or risk it for the most points possible.
Easy - 1 Point
Medium - 2 Points
Hard - 3 Points
Elite - 5 Points
- You are not allowed to use any form of boosts or donations to your account, except for vote books, those will be allowed. (You can't use bonds, drop boosters etc).
- Duplicates will not count to the point system (IE if you get two berserker rings the points will only count once)

Hello everyone,
This week's update wraps up the final major component of Prifddinas… Zalcano! We're very excited to announce that Alora is the first server to release this content and The Gauntlet, which we hope you've been enjoying since the last update! This skilling mini-game focuses on defeating Zalcano without the use of combat, which is different from most bosses. There's also a cool looking new pet, Smolcano, which can be obtained from the boss. On top of this, we've been listening to your Theatre of Blood loot feedback and have made some adjustments based on what we've heard.
- Regional compost bins:
- Compost bins now each operate as independent bins which players can use.
- The following bins are currently functional:
- Catherby
- Ardougne
- Falador
- Port Phasmatys
- Hosidius
- The following bins are currently functional:
- Compost bins now each operate as independent bins which players can use.
- Theatre of Blood loot changes:
- As requested by many of you, we've modified the loot mechanics in the Theatre of Blood.
- Just over a month ago, we matched OSRS's loot mechanics for ToB, which made it so that only one player on the team could get a unique item.
- Many of you have expressed dislike on this aspect of the update, especially considering Alora's version of ToB always had a chance for every player on the team to receive a purple chest.
- Considering this, we've tweaked the loot system to remove the limitation on only one player receiving loot. With the tweaks we've made, the drop rate is slightly better than before, but with a chance for multiple players to obtain rare loot which seems to be the main complaint that we've heard.
- Many of you have expressed dislike on this aspect of the update, especially considering Alora's version of ToB always had a chance for every player on the team to receive a purple chest.

- As requested by many of you, we've modified the loot mechanics in the Theatre of Blood.
- Prifddinas pickpocketing QOL:
- All of the talk options on pickpocketable Prifddinas NPCs (over 35+ NPCs) have been removed, making the Pickpocket option the first and only option for an easy left-click pickpocket.
- Ultimate Ironman drop fixes:
- Ultimate Ironmen's items when dying will now stay on the ground for 60 minutes as intended. This was previously bugged.
- Collection log additions:
- Dragon chainbody will now properly be counted in 3 categories:
- Slayer
- Kalphite queen
- Thermonuclear smoke devil
- Sarachnis has been added to the bosses page.
- The Gauntlet has been added to the bosses page.
- Zalcano has been added to the bosses page.
- Additions to Pet page:
- Sraracha
- Youngllef
- Smolcano
- Dragon chainbody will now properly be counted in 3 categories:
- Sarachnis QOL:
- Sarachnis respawn time has been heavily reduced. (From 1 minute to ~15 seconds).
- Bug fixes:
- Mind/cosmic altars have been 'cheapfixed' for the time being. They are functional, but the maps are broken and will be fixed in the next update.
- Fixed a bug where dark essence fragments wouldn’t show up in your inventory right away if you tried to chisel dark essence blocks.
- Crystal armor body/Crystal armor body(basic/attuned/perfected) visual bug fixed.
- Cannon loading/picking up has been fixed.
- Fixed a bug with a bank booth in Varrock West Bank not functioning.
- Added proper requirements for D'hide (g) and d'hide (t) items.
- Fixed accurate attack animation on swords/longswords.
- This includes, among other weapons, the Blade of Saeldor, leaf-bladed sword, and dragon sword.
- Varrock guards are now attackable.
- Added 40 range requirement on Robin Hood Hat.
- Sandicrahb can no longer be attacked by multi-spells.
- Slayer helmets now require 10 defense(instead of 13) to equip.
- Fixed a shortcut in the Falador mine that previously took players near the Falador wall.
- Cure me now turns your venom into poison if you are Venomed.
- It can be used twice to turn Venom->Poison->Normal

- Web slashing changes:
- Any weapon with a slash bonus can now cut through webs (throughout the whole world).
- Justiciar armour set effect tweaks:
- The set effect has been tweaked to be more accurate, and will always reduced incoming damage (except for in PvP situations) by a minimum of 1.
- Arianwyn has been re-enabled to convert crystal seeds into weapons:
- Due to many requests, Arianwyn has been re-enabled with the following changes:
- Instead of 1m and 3m GP cost, it is now 2m/5m.
- This is due to the addition of the Crystal bowl in Prifddinas which allows you to create Crystal weapon with shards, and keeping the GP cost the same would devalue the Crystal singing bowl.
- Instead of 1m and 3m GP cost, it is now 2m/5m.
- Due to many requests, Arianwyn has been re-enabled with the following changes:
- Zalcano:
- Description:
- Zalcano is a demon imprisoned beneath Prifddinas that is fought using skilling rather than conventional combat. Being immune to traditional combat damage, players must use their Mining, Smithing and Runecrafting skills to create imbued tephra capable of destroying her stone armour. Once her armour has been destroyed, they must damage her by mining her with a pickaxe.
- Access:
- You can reach Zalcano through the Teleport wizard in the Mini-game menu, or by typing in ::zalcano.
- Unlike the rest of Prifddinas, you do NOT need the same requirements that you need to enter the city to fight Zalcano.
- The only requirements are:
- 70 Mining and Smithing
- Higher hit points are helpful.
- The only requirements are:
- Unlike the rest of Prifddinas, you do NOT need the same requirements that you need to enter the city to fight Zalcano.
- You can reach Zalcano through the Teleport wizard in the Mini-game menu, or by typing in ::zalcano.
- Loot mechanics:
- To receive loot from Zalcano players must contribute to the fight by dealing a certain amount of damage.
- Players who do not contribute enough, or only contribute by either mining Zalcano(and not throwing tephra) will not be eligible to receive loot.
- When Zalcano dies, she will always 1-3 crystal shards, as well as 1 roll on her loot table.
- Each fight, 1 player(the one that dealt the most damage) will be named the MVP, and will receive an extra roll on the loot table, as well as Zalcano’s ashes.
- The more damage done by a player, the higher the chance to receive better loot. This also applies to rare drops(including Smolcano).
- To receive loot from Zalcano players must contribute to the fight by dealing a certain amount of damage.
- Fight mechanics:
- Golem spawn:
- Zalcano will periodically spawn a golem in the south east part of the prison, which will walk up to Zalcano and heal him for the remaining amount of hp that it has.
- The golem can be attacked by players who throw imbued tephra at it, and if it is killed, Zalcano will not be healed for anything.
- The player who deals the most damage to the Golem when it dies will receive 16-24 imbued tephra.
- The golem can be attacked by players who throw imbued tephra at it, and if it is killed, Zalcano will not be healed for anything.
- Zalcano will periodically spawn a golem in the south east part of the prison, which will walk up to Zalcano and heal him for the remaining amount of hp that it has.
- Symbols:
- Zalcano will periodically spawn a number of red/blue symbols on the ground.
- Players who stand on the blue symbol will gain significantly increased damage/accuracy when throwing imbued tephra at Zalcano.
- Players who stand on the red symbol will take significant damage and reduced run energy every game tick that they are on the symbol.
- Note: Players who are wearing the complete graceful set will receive 25% reduced damage and run energy drain while standing on the red portal.
- Zalcano will periodically spawn a number of red/blue symbols on the ground.
- Rockfall:
- Every so often, Zalcano will spawn 3-5 large boulders that fall from the ceiling close to target players.
- Once these boulders hit the ground, any players that are on the same tile as a boulder will take a considerable amount of damage.
- Every so often, Zalcano will spawn 3-5 large boulders that fall from the ceiling close to target players.
- Pebble attack:
- Zalcano will periodically stomp her feet, and then pebbles will fall on all players in the prison, causing a low amount of damage.
- This attack is unavoidable.
- Zalcano will periodically stomp her feet, and then pebbles will fall on all players in the prison, causing a low amount of damage.

- Any players near this ore when it is destroyed will take a significant amount of damage.

- All tephra will be lost upon death, and players will be teleported outside of the prison.

- Description:
- Prifddinas Agility course tweaks:
-
- The ladder to start the agility course now gives experience, as intended.
- The exp rates overall have been slightly raised to match the base rates as OSRS, since there was a recent increase in experience per hour.
- The largest increase was on the final obstacle in the agility course, which was increased from 968 base experience, to 1037 base experience.

- Store updates:
- Gauntlet Booster:
- Gauntlet boosters are now available in the store!
- The cost per booster is 15 tokens.
- Effect:
- The booster offers a +25% boost to your loot from The Gauntlet for 1 hour.
- Assuming 10 minutes each run, you will have a drop boost for up to 6 runs total. If you are running the corrupted gauntlet, you will have the boost for up to 8 runs.
- The booster offers a +25% boost to your loot from The Gauntlet for 1 hour.
- Other notes:
- These boosters can be obtained from Super/Ultimate mystery boxes (in varying quantities).
- Certain game modes (EIM/GIM/Classic/Realism/HCIM) can only open a scroll once every 3 hours. Every other game mode can open scrolls back to back as many times as they'd like.
- EIM/GIM cannot open a Gauntlet booster if they are still under the effect of one.
- Normal accounts can 'use' these scrolls on trade-locked players (eg. GIM) to transfer them (if they have tokens on their main account, it is essentially the same as moving tokens from a donation).
- Gauntlet boosters are now available in the store!

We hope you enjoy this update! :) Please report any bugs that you encounter as soon as possible.

It's not that hard to transfer a rank, and I've been in support for adding a way to allow more than 1 transfer, especially with the multitude of game-modes that our long-term players will inevitably burn through.
