So... today was the day.. 

I don't really know how to begin this, but today I decided to step down from the staff team, due to my irl situation becoming more and more busy in the upcoming months. 

I know a lot of you don't care, but I just wanted to make this post to let you all know why i'm no longer the proud owner of a staff members title. I know I was only on the team for roughly 3 months, but it felt much longer for me because I had a blast. Being on the staff team, motivated me to play a lot and trying to make a difference for the players needing help. I will always be here to help out if anyone need help or just need some tips and tricks  

I won't be leaving anytime soon, and will be online from time to time (you can probably find me at ;;gamble or ;;duel, RIP). 

Thank you for giving me the opportunity on the team daddy Lowkey, I will still continue making fun of you tho :)

Hello guys,

 

I know I am a day late but here is the update. It is really coming along now :)

 

Greetings Fellow Alorians!

 

This is overdue since I've been back for sometime now. Some of you may know me from the past, but for those of you who don't I am Fe Mag3 Fe. Call me Fe, Mag3, Eric, Guy who can't get a kraken pet, or whatever you want! I joined the server back in November of 2016 on my main @Mag3rang3pk3, and then later on created this account to try out the ironman mode. I've always had a love for runescape and Alora brings me that joy and more with all the glorious content we have from our dear overlord Omicron. I was a Server Support who was then promoted to Server Moderator back in October/November of last year. I had gotten a new job at a machine shop working with CNC & Grinding machines, as well as working hand in hand with assembly. I picked up a lot of hours, and also have been busy with family, friends, and my girlfriend. Due to all of that, I decided to temp resign from my staff position and take a break from Alora to focus on my responsibilities out of the game. 

 

After finding a nice balance with everything, I have decided to make some time and return back to the great people who've provided a lot of fun and laughs. It's great to see some familiar faces as well as a ton of new ones, and sad to see some good old friends are gone. I am here to have a good time and make some friends along the way. If you see me around in-game feel free to say what's up!

What is your suggestion?:

Add the ability to spawn skotizo at the catacombs without the ability to get the zenythes or any of the emblems. Should also not have a cooldown timer.

Gives people the ability to use their totems especially hardcores and still get a nice loot but nothing too crazy.

I have no problem with the staff messing around with the player base. But for context:

 

I lost my Tent Whip and Daxe to a bug related to raids 1. I won't go into the details but I submitted a bug report on 9/10/19 (It is now 9/13/19) and have had not a single response despite being viewed by multiple staff.

 

Today, I was grinding Kraken in anticipation that I will not get my items (I am okay with grinding my items back, a response to my report would be nice tho), and got a Marble block on my 750th kill (boosted droprate). @king purple chimed in yell chat with a "l0l". Normally a response like that would not bother me or many other people, but the fact that the very admin who advised me to even make the bug report in the first place is trolling me over an item I should not have to grind for a second time again is simply unprofessional. Not to mention @Mack was being biased in favor of his co-worker, failing to see the problem I was having (staff unprofessionalism, not me not having to grind kraken again) and reminding me that it is simply "not their department" and I should not hold the Alora staff accountable for these things.

 

I am not calling for any ramifications against anyone,m just making public the problem so things can improve moving forward! The staff can be fun and ALSO professional. Pick your spots, be appropriate, and grow from this.

 

I am choosing to be late to work over this, so before anyone points out the obvious, i am SALTY :)

Hey, I'm Tuss!

 

I started a new ironman on here and I'm really enjoying it! I played Alora on and off for about 2 years, maxing a main and iron. Now with all the new content added, I thought it would be a nice challenge to start from scratch again. In those 2 years I never really joined in on a lot of events or clan related activities, so this is also a chance to be part of the community and make new friends. Feel free to send me a pm!

I have some ideas to maybe start a series on YouTube about the ironman(recording clips as we speak lol), where I try to complete everything ingame. (pretty long term goal iknow)

It would be nice to give the server some attention and show what kind of community there is on here.

I've never done anything like that, so if you have any tips please let me know.

Instead of a long-winded spiel about how nobody forced you to play on a very restrictive game mode, I'll just point out that you can ;;skull and suicide at an NPC (such as monkey guards) to leave all of your valuables on the ground. UIMs have a death timer of one hour, which should be more than enough time to complete MA2. There is the small bit of inherent risk if you disconnect while doing this, but unlocking Priff is not nearly as hard as you make it out to be.
