Introduction

 

What is Gauntlet?

 

The Gauntlet is a solo minigame in Prifddinas in which the player is given a limited amount of time to explore a randomly generated dungeon layout, gather various resources and supplies by skilling and defeating crystalline monsters, all in preparation to defeat the Crystalline Hunllef.

 

The goal is to gather as much resources and as great weapons as possible in certain time-span (Regular: 10 minutes & Corrupted: 7,5 minutes) before taking on the Hunllef.

 

How to access it?

 

Halberd -> Best damage/Lowest safety as you have to move closer to the boss.

Bow -> Good damage / Good safety as you cannot snipe across the room.

Staff -> Inconsistent damage / Best safety as you can attack with staff from anywhere inside the room.

Catch 8x Raw paddlefish

Mine 3x Corrupted ore

Chop 3x Phren bark

Pick 3x Tinum lirinium

Pick 2x Grym leaf

Use 2x crystal shards on a pestle of mortar in order to make 20x Corrupted dust

 

After all of the gathering and killing, your inventory should look like this:

 

 

1x Helmet

1x Platebody

1x Legs

2x Tier 3 Weapons

2x Vials

Fill 2 vials

Use 2x Grym leaf on vials

Cook all the fishes

Use corrupted dust on unfinished potions

 

 

Now you should be ready for the boss fight!

 

 

1000 - 750 HP = 1 tornado

750 - 300HP = 2 tornadoes

300HP and below = 3 tornadoes

 

You can run through those tornadoes, but not stand inside them, as they consistently do 20+ damage you CAN NOT protect for!

 

 

Floor tiles:

 

Some of the floor tiles can turn blue and into orange after 3 seconds they've turned blue. Avoid those tiles whilst they are orange, as they can do 20+ damage to you.

What is your suggestion?: Changing miscellania rewards slightly

How would this benefit Alora?: So what we currently have for rewards is the following:

• Herbs: 14 x Grimy Tarromin, 10 x Grimy Ranarr, 20 x Grimy Harralander, 13 x Grimy Irit, 9 x Grimy Kwuarm, 7 x Grimy Cadantine, 7 x Grimy Lantadyme, 7 x Grimy Dwarf Weed, 9 x Grimy Avantoe.
• Flax: 1750 x Flax.
• Woodcutting: 450 x Maple Logs, 60 x Teak Logs, 60 x Mahogany Logs, 8 x Birds nest.
• Fish(Raw): 250 x Raw Monkfish, 130 x Raw Shark.
• Fish(Cooked): 250 x Monkfish, 130 x Shark.
• Mining: 700 x Coal, 15 x Rune Ore, 5 x a random type of gem(Dragonstone(rare), diamond, ruby, sapphire, emerald).

 

I am suggesting a few changes as Kingdom on Alora is mid-late game in my opinion since it's 1.5m gp a day to be at max efficiency which adds up quite quickly for anyone in early-mid game.

 

1. Remove Tarromin and Harralander herbs and add Toadflax.

2. On top of the flax(it's like this on osrs) make it so you get a few random herb seeds ranging from Ranarr-Torstol(osrs gives you 2 random herb seeds, so maybe 5?)

3. Woodcutting looks okay, I'd prefer a few more nests but 8 is good.

4. For both Raw and cooked fish, osrs gives chances to get clues, gems and caskets, maybe make it so it gets 1 of the following per day: 1-2 gp caskets or 2-5 gems or 1-2 clues

5. For Mining I would like to maybe see a few more gems per day, up to 10 potentially.

 

 

I would love to see your thoughts and if you don't agree and think of alternatives I would love to hear them.

What is your suggestion?:

Add the ability to spawn skotizo at the catacombs without the ability to get the zenythes or any of the emblems. Should also not have a cooldown timer.

Gives people the ability to use their totems especially hardcores and still get a nice loot but nothing too crazy.

Fat people drop big bones. When you create an account, you have to enter your weight in kilos/pounds. If your weight is above average, when you die ingame your character drops big bones.

It should be.

DAY 1 - ADAPTING!

Since the release, people in group have thought about various efficient stuff to get before getting to other challenges we're facing. Some of us started Barrows immediately, some of us went to revs, many of us started slayer and few of us started skilling. So right now we adapting to the situation, which has been very interesting, but unusual at the same time, due to the very challenging XP rates on this gamemode. Below in the spoiler, we're going to shov you the most notable drops/stats within first 24 hours. DAY 2 - IMPROVISING!

After a fairly decent start on Day 1, some of the guys have picked it up on day 2, some have fallen of because of the technical difficulties. The spoiler below includes lots of great barrows drops, some other pog loot and some stat pictures. DAY 3 - OVERCOMING!

 

It's a common fact that there's more activity in weekends than in weekdays, right? With that being said, we have less screenshots to share with you guys today, but don't be sad, we are still going hard and even today we got some achievements that we could feel proud of! Enjoy!

 

 

DAY 4 & 5 - HAVING FUN!

 

To be fair, then the hype as been tuned down a bit, but still, some of us are still going strong and feel free to take a look at our pog loot

 

I was feeling a little sentimental (for the lack of a better term) so I just wanted to give a shoutout to my best Dad (but not my only Dad), king purple.

If you don't know him, this man is a God. I met him when I joined the Staff Team in mid April 2018 and really started to get to know him in early May 2018. This man has taught me pretty much everything I know regarding Staff duties and has mentored me from the ground up. I remind him of this all the time but he's too modest to brag about that. But there's much more to Paulo than being the best mentor I could ask for and one of the best Staff Members Alora has ever seen, not to mention the best Event Manager we've ever seen.

Paulo is one of my best friends. I've had some highs and some lows, which some of you may know about but most probably won't. Paulo has been there through it all. He is an amazing human being who has such a burning passion for everything he does. And he does a lot. Hosting our events is only the surface, but I won't go into detail about that.

We love you brother. I know this turned into more of a love note than a Staff Feedback but I tell you this every day so I thought I'd just embarrass you publicly for once: I always have your back. We always have your back. Don't ever change, because not just your mentorship but your friendship goes way beyond making a video game more fun and it's something a lot of us will carry once we're gone. I know I'm not the only one who feels that way. We love you king purple.

Was like 250-260 something

 

 

Raids:

The Rejuvenation pool update in the last update that changed the spec cooldown timer for EVERY pool including the POH pools to 5mins in my opinion is a very bad update for the server for pvm AND pvp.

 

For pvm, you can no longer do efficient 1-2 kill trips to save supplies for some bosses like kq(which is aids to kill efficiently without spec) cerb, vorkath etc. because def reducing spec weps make them much more enjoyable to do.

 

For pvp, most fights last around 2-3mins max, there is no way I'm starting another fight without having full spec so I'm forced to just wait around to get my spec back, this just alienates even more people from starting and continuing to pk because who wants to wait around doing nothing for 2-3mins just to fight again.

 

The way Omicron phrased the update 

 

If you're so adamant on pkers not spec tabbing either code it like osrs where you can't get your special attack restored if you've attacked a player within the past 90 seconds or so OR if the code eludes you then just make a server rule about it so as to not piss off the 95% of your community that plays the server to skill or pvm because we all know that only a few people pk. I agree that they deserve QOL pking updates, but this update did not seem QOL to pvp in any way.
