Happy Halloween!
 
As we prepare to launch Tombs of Amascut later this week, we are pushing this update to get a bunch of overdue bug fixes & QoL that were in the backlog, as well as the Halloween Event and the sale that recently went live.
 
With the way that recent beta tests have gone within Tombs of Amascut, we feel confident enough to finally release Raids 3 this Friday, on November 4th at 3pm EST! 
 
We'll be the very first server to fully release this piece of content, and this will start off our Anniversary weekend the right way, with the single largest piece of content that we've ever put out, plenty of Anniversary festivities and giveaways, alongside all of the fixes and QoL brought in by today's update. We hope you're as excited as we are!

• Fall / Halloween Sale:

• Halloween Event 2022:
  • The Halloween Event is now live!
    • A bit later than usual this year due to OSRS releasing it late, but better late than never!
      • To get started, teleport to Varrock or speak to one of the children in Edgeville to be teleported.
      • You'll have to take your Treat cauldron around Alora and collect treats, which you'll then deposit into the Cauldron in Varrock. After the following amounts of treats are deposited, you'll unlock some rewards:
        • 90 treats - Halloween wig:
          • You can morph between six different wig styles.
        • 180 treats - Witch's hat
        • 270 treats - Witch's top
        • 360 treats - Witch's robes
        • 450 treats - Witch's boots
        • 540 treats - Witch's cape
        • 630 treats - Treat cauldron (1)
        • 720 treats - Treat cauldron (2)
        • 810 treats - Treat cauldron (3)
        • 900 treats - Treat cauldron (4)

• Gambling update:
  • Mithril seeds can now be purchased for in-game gold!
    • We've heard your requests, and we've removed Mithril seeds from the Store and decided to sell them for GP instead, to promote Gambling area usage.
    • The current rate is 25k per seed, which means a game of Flower poker would cost 125k. This could be adjusted as needed in the future.
  • The Gamer can also now show you your Win/Loss ratio (as a decimal number).
• Boss HUD:
  • Some bosses in the Chambers of Xeric (and Tombs of Amascut) will now have the proper boss hp bar that is shown on OSRS when fighting them.
    • This option can be toggled on and off through the client extra settings interface.
• Quality of Life:
  • Nex Killtime Records have been reset.
  • The Entity hider plugin now has an option to hide thralls.
  • Added bloodbark and swampbark to the Magic wardrobe.
  • The distance at which you can see and attack bosses in Raids (Chambers & Theatre of Blood) has been increased so that you will be able to see what attacks the boss is launching and click on it from further away.
    • For example, in fights with large maps such as the Maiden of Sugadinti, if you were more than 16 steps away, she would be invisible but could still launch attacks at you. This distance has been increased to 24 steps.
  • The black screen fading interfaces when entering Raids or going between rooms (eg. In Theatre of Blood), as well as in many other parts of the game (eg. Entering instances, using Mycelium transport network, etc) have now been shortened, allowing you to move more quickly.
  • The option to select the donator completionist monkey variants will now be crossed out similar to the other options if players do not have the necessary rank.
  • Increased the value of the twisted ancestral hat.
  • Players will now get an empty cup of tea back after drinking tea.
  • The Dwarf multicannon will now replace the xp drops with damage drops if the option is enabled.
  • Players can now note/un-note items on Emerald Benedict in the Rogues' Den.
  • Players can now imbue the Hat of the Eye with the power of any imbued tiara.
    • This only works with one tiara at a time.
  • Increased the value of the ancient godsword from 30m to 200m.
  • Impling catch rates should now almost perfectly match OSRS.
  • The Damage tracker overlay will now work for Olm's head in the Chambers of Xeric.
  • Players can now interact with objects/attack npc’s while the world map is open.
    • We’ve also improved the world map click bounds when the “click off interfaces” option is toggle on, so players can more accurately interact with objects/npc’s that are not being covered by the active world map.
  • Players using the Runelite client will once again have the option to enable the drop/sell warning for items over a specific value.
    • This feature was already present on Vanilla.
  • The following items will now appear in the trading post search box interface:
    • Trident of the swamp
    • Silver Sickle ( b )
    • Red Chinchompas
    • Gray Chinchompas
    • Ferocious Gloves
    • All barrows armour sets
    • Spirit seeds
  • The Trading post item search interface should now be more accurate in results that it returns.
    • For example, previously if “Dh” was searched, only the Dharok armour pieces and Dharok armour pieces (0) would be returned.
      • Now, the Dharok armour set, and Bow of Faerdhinen will also be returned as valid results.
  • The following items will no longer appear in the trading post search box interface:
    • The Leagues sigils will no longer appear in the trading post search box interface.
    • Uncharged toxic trident
    • Uncharged trident
  • Updated some prayer enable sounds to match OSRS.
  • Players can now un-note a specific amount of items when using them on a bank.
    • Rather than converting as many as possible, players will be prompted to input the amount they wish to un-note.
  • The Dexterous prayer scroll has been properly renamed to Prayer scroll, to reflect that it can unlock Augury, as well as Rigour.
  • Scorpia's Offspring will now properly show up as "Scorpia's Offspring" rather than "Scorpia offspring" in dialogue/chatbox messages.
  • The 1250th killcount for bosses will no longer be announced.
    • After the player’s 1000th kill, the boss kills will only be announced every 500th kill (1,500, 2,000, etc…).
  • Angler/Spirit angler pieces will now go to the reclaimables shop on death, and can be re-purchased for 100k a piece.
  • Black/white flowers will no longer appear in flower poker gambles.
  • Increased the value of the Blisterwood flail from 40k to 90m.
  • The Wintertodt interface will now cap at 13,500 points, and notify the player when they've reached the limit and will not be rewarded for contributing more.
  • The new event bonuses will now show up in the bonuses interface.
  • Abbot langley can now help players revert their Arcane spirit shield back into a sigil.
    • To do so, simply bring the arcane spirit shield to Abbot Langley in the monastery.
      • To retrieve the sigil, the blessed spirit shield itself will be destroyed, and only the sigil itself will be returned.
  • Added the noted forms of most nex-related items that were missing them.
  • Updated the Max hitsplat icon to match OSRS.
  • Players can now lookup the Gauntlet/Corrupted gauntlet in the npc/item drop searchers.
• Bug Fixes:
  • Players can now also make Bloodbark using the True blood altar.
  • The Make-X option when crafting jewellery will now properly prompt the user to input the amount they'd like to make.
  • Druid’s robes will now equip to the proper slot.
  • Fixed a bug where loot beams would sometimes de-spawn objects (cannons, in particular).
  • Noranna will now add the daeyalt essence into the inventory of ultimate ironmen.
  • Fixed a bug where some pets (Sheep, cats) would not have their interact options hidden when the option was toggled on.
  • Fixed a bug where players could lose their items when logging out right as they entered The Gauntlet.
  • Fixed a bug where players starting the client for the first time (with a new cache) would cause a blackscreen, crashing the client.
  • Fixed a bug where the 117 HD plugin would not work properly and cause crashes on login.
  • Fixed a bug where sometimes spells wouldn't require any runes to cast.
  • Increased the attack distance of many bosses to 11 tiles rather than 8.
  • Fixed a bug where Jal-Zek had an attack distance of 8 tiles, but would only approach players until it was 10 tiles away, leading it to not attack players in many situations.
  • Increased K'ril Tsutaroth's attack range so players can't safespot him anymore.
  • Fixed a bug where teleporting to the wilderness from the Gamble area would not show the attack option on other players.
  • Trying to attack Zulrah with a melee weapon that isn't a Halberd will now only notify the player that they can't reach once rather than three times.
  • Players can now properly imbue the Ring of suffering ®.
  • Eternal donators opening bonds will no longer set them to Immortal donator rank.
  • Fixed a bug where Overloads would still wear off after taking a sip soon after dying in Chambers of Xeric.
  • Fixed a typo with the forum loyalty points notification.
  • Fixed a bug where the Runelite menu entry swapper equipment shift/left click options would not work for specific items (Completionist monkeys).
  • Fixed a bug where sometimes setting the shift/left-click swap options on max capes options in the equipment interface wouldn’t work.
  • A bug which caused players to be kicked out of a player-owned-house when going up to the second floor should now be fixed.
  • Fixed a bug where the world map plugin was causing huge FPS drops.
  • Fixed a bug where some NPC’s that are supposed to be poisonous were not poisoning players properly.
  • The Zamorak Godsword (or) now works for the Master clue scroll step requiring one.
  • The Tome of Fire is now untradeable.
    • Players must remove the pages from their tome of fire to get the Tome of fire (empty) to list it on the trading post, or trade it to another player.
  • The Chinchompa AOE effect will now skip accuracy checks on players/NPC’s if the attack on the main target landed.
    • Previously this method of killing Armadyl was not viable due to the secondary accuracy checks that were being done for the AOE splash damage.
    • This means that if you miss the attack on the current target, all the damage done to AOE targets will be 0, and if you land the attack on the main target, the AOE attacks will skip the accuracy checks and roll the damage from 0 to your max hit on that target.
  • Fixed a bug where the custom Store option wouldn’t work in the inventory interface while banking.
  • Fixed a bug where the clue hunter set pieces could not be logged through The collector.
  • Fixed a bug where winnings would be lost if the the player logged out on the victory screen after a gamble.
  • Fixed a bug where the revenant cave exits were taking players to the wrong location.
  • The Wilderness sword teleport location has been adjusted slightly to match OSRS.
  • Fixed a bug where the clan chat rank icon would show the icon as 1 rank lower than the player’s actual rank sometimes.
  • Players can no longer set the custom rank icon to be an icon the player is using, and vice versa.
  • Fixed a bug where the Crystal halberd/Dark bow would add more damage contribution than it should have.
  • Fixed a bug where the Smith’s Gloves (I) were not being recognized as part of the smith’s set.
  • Fixed a bug where the order of the moulds was incorrect when selected, effecting the final quality score.
  • Fixed a bug where the barrows chest killcount was not showing up correctly in the collection log.
  • Runecrafting pouches are no longer tradeable.
  • Fixed a bug where some bigger pets (Scorpia's offspring) would follow players too closely, invading their personal space.
  • Combat will now be cancelled after a player is bounced by Verzik in Phase 2.
  • Fixed a bug where the Clue scroll plugin wouldn't register the player as having a crystal bow for the Iorwerth bow step if they had the standard crystal bow.
  • Ardougne teleport tablets will now work as intended.
  • Removed Brimstone key's from the drop tables of basilisks/spitting wyverns.
  • The infernal trailblazer pickaxe now works for the Soul altar clue step.
  • Fixed a bug where players would see a “Fight” option just outside of the arenas near the duel arena.
  • Fixed a bug where players would sometimes get teleported into an object after finishing a duel.
  • All 3 scorpia entrances/exits are now mapped out/working correctly.
  • Fixed a bug where some Spirit tree teleports would show up enumerated as 10/11, rather than A/B.
  • Added a placeholder for the Master Scroll Book (Empty).
  • Challenge scroll (elite) has been renamed to Challenge scroll (master), since it is only for master clue scrolls.
  • Falo the bard will now recognize challenge scrolls as master clue scrolls.
  • Added the wilderness warning to the revenant cave teleport scroll.
  • The magic attack distance of staff's with built-in spells has been reduced from 11 tiles to 7 tiles.
  • Fixed a bug where players could not check the Amulet of Blood fury charges from the equipment interface.
  • Fixed a bug where the barbarian agility/Gnome agility daily tasks would overlap on the interface.
  • Fixed a bug where the Edge PvP instance was not mapping out the wilderness areas properly.
  • Fixed a bug with the steel kiteshield (t) and (g) not equipping to the correct slot.
  • Fixed a bug where the Slayer plugin was not counting down task kills correctly.
  • Fixed a bug where the Master scroll book was not being added to the shared collection log properly.
    • Players who obtained it will be able to log it through the Collector.
  • Fixed a bug where the gravedigger set would be lost when trying to store it in the Toy box.
  • Fixed a bug where the Key-remapping plugin would cause crashes for some players.
  • The Chat history plugin will now clear News messages when clearing the Yell tab.
  • Fixed a bug where the Mahogany homes plugin wasn't working properly.
  • Fixed a bug where the clan interface search wouldn't work if the player was using capital letters.
  • Saradomin brews will now heal 2 + 15% of the player's hitpoint level, rather than 5 + 15%.
  • Fixed a bug where 2 Zul-andra teleport scrolls would be consumed when used.
  • Removed duplicate items from the Master Treasure Trails (Rare) collection log.
  • Fixed a bug where ranked members who were not owners could sometimes kick players out of the clan by adding them to their ignore list.
    • This is only supposed to apply to clan owners.
  • Fixed a bug where players would be notified they need at least 50 hitpoints to sip an overload potion, when they actually needed 51.
  • Fixed bug where re-opening the teleport wizard interface would sometimes cut the list off short, not showing all the teleports for that category.
  • Fixed a bug where players could not use emerald bolts (e) with the rune crossbow.
  • Fixed 2 bugged ladders in the Mining guild.

Hello everyone! I'll try not to write a book about my return as CM. After taking home all the prizes in the most recent GIM tournament I am ready to return..

First of all, I want to say thank you to Omicron for allowing me to come back as CM. Some of you may not know that I left about 2 months ago to deal with personal and my IRL situation. I feel confident in saying that I am in a much better state of mind and everything has returned to about as normal as it can be.

I plan to be involved with the community and staff team as much as I was prior to my leaving. It feels good to be back on the team and to continue something we started 3 years ago. See you in-game!

Hello everyone,

This week's update brings about the final level of clue scrolls - Master clues! With this, we have many new rewards, clue steps, STASH units and more. The update also contains many bug fixes and QOL updates to hold everyone down while we work on OSRS's latest update, The Nightmare of Ashihama.

Keep an eye out for more information regarding The Nightmare, and enjoy this update in the meantime :)

• Client name drawing fixes:
  • When drawing friend/clan names on a tile with many players, it would try to draw all of them and be very hard to read.
    • The client will now only draw the first player on that tile, ignoring the rest.
  • Clicking random settings will no longer toggle the 'Show friendly names' option.
  • 'Show friendly names' colours have been adjusted to better match the RuneLite plugin.
• Chambers of Xeric QoL:
  • The amount of kindling you can receive per swing is now determined by your woodcutting level. Starting at level 1 Woodcutting you can receive 1 kindling per swing, at 24 Woodcutting you can receive 2 kindling. The amount of kindling per swing goes up by 1 for every 12 Woodcutting levels after 24 Woodcutting.
  • For example, at level 99 Woodcutting you'll receive 8 kindling per chop.
• Bug fixes:
  • The Netiznot face guard now requires 70 defence to equip.
  • Fixed a bug where Zuk tasks would be assigned in 3-35 kills, and Kalphite queen would be assigned as a 1 kill task.
  • Players will no longer get clue hunter duplicate items.
  • Fixed a bug where picking up noted zamorak wines in the wilderness would cause them to not visually disappear off the ground.
  • The Saradomin Crozier now has the proper alch value and is tradable.
  • The zombie head can now be equipped properly.
  • Added the proper attack interface for the Scythe of Vitur.
  • The attack styles are as follows:
  • Reap: Attack and Hitpoints experience, Slash style
  • Chop: Strength and Hitpoints experience, Slash style
  • Jab: Strength and Hitpoints experience, Crush style
  • Block: Defence and Hitpoints experience, Slash style
  • Dagannoth Prime’s max hit has been increased to 50 damage if the player doesn’t have protect from magic up.
  • Fixed Twisted horns combining to form the Slayer helmet.
  • Fixed a bug where players would sometimes get duplicate steps on clue scrolls.
  • Fixed a bug where 2 Snape grass spawns on hobgoblin isle wouldn’t count towards the achievement.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed Uber donators to do the zuk inferno training.
  • Fixed a bug where you weren't previously able to remove/add an item from the overlay list if you were holding shift.
  • Centred the friendly name overlay.
  • Changed the oak tree easy contract requirements from 45 to 65 Farming.
    • Fixed a bug where transferring an item to a player who logged off would cause the item to disappear.
  • Iban's staff (u) will no longer delete runes if you have them in your inventory.
  • Fixed a bug where infernal training would count towards tzkal-zuk or tztok-jad tasks.
  • Fixed a bug where Lizardman shamans would hit you after they died if they did a jump attack just before they died.
  • Konar Lizardman canyon tasks will now count for Lizardmen in the east canyon.
  • Fixed a bug where removing a pet from your menagerie without a full inventory would cause you to lose it.
  • The gilded 2h sword animations have been fixed, and now requires 40 attack to equip.
  • Shifted the graphics for the staff of dead special attack so that the head is above the player as intended.
  • The right-click trade options on the Estate agent have been re-added.
  • Collection log fixes:
    • Infinity boots have been added to the Mage arena collection log.
    • A duplicate Gnomish firelighters in the Medium clue log has been removed.
    • The Zalcano killcount was not being properly displayed.
    • The Zulrah killcount was not being properly displayed.
  • Item overlay quest scroll bug:
    • If you opened the overlay interface, and then opened another interface that also uses the quest scroll (Achievement progress interface) it would sometimes be bugged and show the names of your blocked items. This has been fixed.

Quality of life:

• Changed the hide-pet option to still show the options for pets instead of completely hiding them, but will prioritize other non-hidden options instead.
• Clue scroll caskets are now stackable.

Miscellaneous:

• When typing ;;gamble, a warning message will be sent telling you to familiarize yourself with the rules on ;;topic 53293 before gambling.
• Receiving rare loot from Implings (eg. 3rd age) will now update your Collection log with the new items.

Master clue scrolls:

• Players can now obtain and complete master clue scrolls.
• Each player can only have 1 master clue scroll on their accounts at any given time, so unlike the other clue scrolls, they cannot be stacked.
• As a consequence, this means players can now drop/empty the clues they cannot complete, and once they get a new one, it’ll be a new random clue step.
• The possible rewards from master clues can are as follows:

• The amounts are generally the same, with some discrepancies.

[/list][*]Obtaining Master Clues:

• There are 2 ways to obtain master clues in-game:
  • Speak to Watson, and provide him with 1 of each clue tier(easy, medium, hard, elite), and he will give you a master clue scroll.
  • Players can store the 4 clue scrolls with Watson, however he won’t give you a master clue scroll if you already have one.
• Players can also obtain master clues from doing regular clues.
  • The rates for obtaining a master clue are as follows:
  • Easy clue scrolls: 1/50 chance
  • Medium clue scrolls: 1/30 chance
  • Hard clue scrolls: 1/15 chance
  • Elite clue scrolls: 1/5 chance

[/list]STASH units expansion:

• 4 new STASH units have been added due to the expansion of master clues.
  • Zul-Andra STASH unit:
  • Stores the Dragon 2h sword, Bandos boots, and Obsidian cape.
  • Requires level 88 construction to use.
• Varrock palace STASH unit:
  • Stores a Zamorak Godsword.
  • Requires level 88 construction to use.
• Soul Altar STASH unit:
  • Stores a Dragon pickaxe, Helm of Neitiznot, and Rune boots.
  • Requires level 88 construction to use.
• Catacombs STASH unit:
  • Stores an Arclight and Amulet of the Damned.
  • Requires level 88 construction to use.

Twisted blueprints:

• You can now unlock the Twisted house style using Twisted blueprints!
• These blueprints are tradable, and you can retrieve the blueprints by changing your house style to any other style. (the blueprints will be re-added to your inventory)

Staff of balance:

• This item can now be created by attaching a Guthixian Icon to the staff of the death.
• It has the same stats and special attack as the staff of the dead.
• Players wielding it are able to cast Claws of Guthix.

Vote shop additions:

• Inferno training ticket:
• When used on Tzhaar-ket-keh, this will allow players to take part in inferno training starting at wave 68.
• Completing the inferno in training does not provide any slayer experience, infernal cape, Tokkul, or kildcount.
• The cost of this ticket is 400 vote points.

Clue scroll changes:

• Clue scrolls of Easy/Medium/Hard/Elite tier can now only be obtained if the player doesn’t currently have that clue scroll tier on their account.
• For example, if a player has 1 or more Elite clue scrolls on their account, they will not be able to obtain another one.
• There are multiple reasons for this change:
• We want to encourage players to do their clue scrolls as they get them, instead of hoarding many clue scrolls in their banks.
• We want to add consistency with how master clues are.
• We want to eventually integrate a system that will allow players to destroy their clue scrolls that have steps they can’t complete so that they can get new ones.
• For this to be possible, the multiple-scroll system will need to be phased out.

Clue scroll drop changes/additions:

• Impling changes:
  • Ninja implings now have a 1/25 chance of giving a Hard clue scroll.
  • Magpie implings now have a 1/50 chance of giving a Hard clue scroll.
  • Nature implings now have a 1/100 chance of giving a Hard clue scroll.
  • Eclectic implings now have a 1/25 chance of giving a Medium clue scroll.
  • Essence implings now have a 1/50 chance of giving a Medium clue scroll.
  • Earth implings now have a 1/100 chance of giving a Medium clue scroll.
  • Gourmet implings now have a 1/25 chance of giving an Easy clue scroll.
  • Young implings now have a 1/50 chance of giving a Easy clue scroll.
  • Baby implings now have a 1/100 chance of giving a Easy clue scroll.
• Players now have an uncommon chance to get an elite clue scroll from the chambers of xeric.
  • This will not lower your chance to get a rare drop, and will only replace a resource drop.
• Players now have an uncommon chance to get an elite clue scroll from the Theatre of Blood.
  • This will not lower your chance to get a rare drop, and will only replace a resource drop.​

Herblore Skillcape perk:

• This perk allows players to make unfinished potions with grimy herbs while their Herblore cape or equivalent Max/Completionist cape is equipped.
• Players will still receive the experience for cleaning the grimy herb when mixing it into the unfinished potion.

Before I begin I just want to say that I'm looking to get another 99 and I'm not sure yet what I want to go for, if you could leave comments below I'll focus on that more this week on what you'd like to see grinded!

 

Also another thing I wanted to ask is do you guys like seeing these weekly, or as I'm now getting to the later grinds would you like to be able to see more progress and I start doing these 2 weekly? Or is there a better way you'd like to see me post my progression logs??

What have we been doing?

 

This week we decided to get a little bit of that total level in, managing to get some very slow agility grinds in, and also some slow ish hunter gains in. (With our Meta being grey chins.) We've done a lot more combat grinds and in fact we're very close to 100 combat. We got the 77 slayer grind out of the way paving our way to buying a POH with money we can make from Brutal Black Dragons. We also got 2 new BIS items, they don't seem like too much to you guys but the Dmed and Dskirt have been obtained, we tried a couple of boss kills but we're not lucky yet, and without further ado.
