Hello again fellow gamers. As promised in our previous topic we'd be attempting to keep this trend up with monthly topics. This month we've decided to expand it slightly and not just focus on raid drops obtained through the month but the general progression and adventures of our members. We'll now be including things such as "The Showcase" to celebrate and relive those spooned moments and any juicy lootations from our PK trips.

The Showcase

 

The first of the new features to be appearing in our monthly topic is this. A range of end game accomplishments, achievements that deserve recognition and spooned drops that will make you look twice.

 

 

Wilderness Lootations

 

We are mainly a PvM clan, however, it's always fun to mix things up a bit and on occasion we have been known to wander around the wilderness and have a laugh doing so in vc. A few loots obtained from killing fellow pker men. (with 1 or 2 exceptions!)

 

 

Monthly Awards

 

Firstly following on from what we announced in our first clan topic, we award the person with the most raid drops for that month "Raider of the Month, it comes with a nice snazzy role in our discord for them to flex their raiding and RNG superiority for the month. This month with 19 purples to their name it's @Yautja !

 

 

In addition to this we have now started doing our own Member of the Month within Aftermath, with us having such a growing member base and countless activities throughout the month either in game on on Discord we thought it would be good to recognise individuals that help us all keep enjoying the game and the people we're playing with. As well as recently joining the Higher Ups in Aftermath this person has also helped a lot behind the scenes doing work for our upcoming bingo event.

It's been another enjoyable and successful month for Aftermath and I'm sure the next topic will be even bigger as we'll be starting our third clan bingo event in a couple of weeks with a prize pool of 5.5b+ for the victors.

I feel like all I've seen the past couple of days is you complaning about bad luck at Abyssal Sire. As far as I know you had 4 Kraken drops in 10 kc and 3 Zenytes in 100 kc but then you have bad RNG at one boss and it needs a change? Droprates doesn't need to be changed just because you and a few other people had some bad RNG. I'm currently 247 dry for an Unsired but some people get 3 Unsired in 10 kc that's just how RNG works.

While writing this. I'm literally shaking a little bit. Because I'm scared to say my opinion.
Fear to be silenced, or worse, be banned just because I want to voice my opinion.

Last week we made a positive step as a community. We came together and let our voices be heard, until today.
We got spat in our faces, our voices meant nothing. We just got shushed for a short period. But we will not stay silenced. Here is my feedback post.

 

In-game Rules

 

1. Flaming, Disrespect, Harassment, and Inappropriate Content

Within Alora, we seat a culturally diverse community. Communities contain different races, beliefs, ethics, sexual orientations, etc. It is vital that we preserve and protect each culture and that we ensure equality throughout Alora as a whole. The denigration or defamation of a member will not be tolerated. First offenders will receive a 24-hour mute, followed by a 48-hour mute, increasing to a 7-day mute, a 14-day mute, and finally, a permanent mute.

 
When you visit the Alora rules, this is the very first thing you see.
They speak of a culturally diverse community. Containing different races, beliefs, ethics and sexual orientation.
It says it is vital to preserve and protect each culture. Ensure equality throughout Alora. But in reality, it does not reflect this in-game.

The rules of Alora exist to maintain order and protect the server and its player. It defines who and what we are.
We must abide by them and staff should uphold them. If this is not the case, that's laughable / unprofessional.
 
Then the newly added filter. What value does it have, if it is obvious what is said.
Example: "Are you okay my nigga?"
Result: "Are you okay my *****?"
 
You could instead utilize the anti-advertising filter.
Example: "I can't wait to come home and play Runescape."
Result: 
 
Just because you believe something is not offensive or because it's not offensive in your country, does not mean it should be allowed.

We should stand together against this, so I hope my fellow Alorians will let their voices be heard yet again.

No, it's allowed to use words like nigger, nigga, etc

it's allowed by staff

 

Also can't use them in your name.

 

How would this benefit Alora?:

Racism free game. Also stops all of the discussions in game and has no reason at all to be used in Alora.
