#372436 Rule 1 feedback

Posted by GIM Goldi on 12 September 2020 - 06:03 PM

The staff team takes all reports and suggestions seriously.

I've had 3 reports with screen shot evidence of a rule being broken be denied because I could have just ignored it. Doesn't seen too serious.

I'm not mad when things don't go my way. I'm mad when human beings don't see that the use a of a singular word has bad connotations in it and cant just be grown up about not using it. But hey, I'm just a human being living in the 21st century having an internet argument with a complete stranger over a word that was used during a period of time when it was legal to enslave other human beings. What do I know.

#372428 Rule 1 feedback

Blows my mind this is even a post that needs to be made in 2020. Admins are more strict on people not speaking English in yell than they are on people using clearly demeaning words. But, like in most places in the world, if im not offended by something I dont see why others are.

That is exactly how this server works. If admins and some players aren't offended by something that a majority of the population have agreed on is bad, then it doesn't matter.

BUT FOR THE LOVE OF THE GODS DON'T FUCKING SPEAK ANOTHER LANGUAGE IN YELL.

Hello,

First, you would never be silenced or banned for speaking your mind / voicing your opinion.

I think you should take a look at your own player admins. If you're not on their good side they don't care about what rule you report. You have evidence of a player breaking a written rule? Nah thats why we have a filter bro, if it offends you just ignore it. Too bad I cant ignore half the admins who turn blind eyes to a major situation.

Its a sad state to see a bunch of youtube'rs and content creators saying they have lost interest because we have to have the same argument over and over about racism.

#371600 On the topic of slurs...

Posted by GIM Goldi on 06 September 2020 - 06:21 PM

I support man, tbh I think its great you we have a community on here that you can speak freely with but at the same time I don't think anyone needs this negativity on a video game. Like 90 percent of people won't be affected by this hate speech but every once and awhile someone affected in real life with these issues can be seriously affected and its unfair that they have to deal with this on a game. Games are supposed to be escapism and this community should be a fun friendly place for all.

As a teacher who works strictly with special needs students, seeing how that word effects them, it kills me to see people just throw it around daily. Its 2020, get a dictionary and learn some new words.

While the game is on the topic of getting rid of racial slurs, can we also add the slur for people with mental handicaps to the filtered list?

Its fucking embarrassing that I even have to type this.

I see the same 10 year olds who use the n-word also throwing around the r-word.

I'm not a fucking liberal snowflake, this is a RSPS and just seeing that toxic shit in chat is so embarrassing.

Full support.

I would love to remove demeaning words related to people who have mental disabilities. I hate when morons use the "R" word in exchange for stupid things. Maybe Ill make my own post about that.

#370851 GIM Bank rework

Posted by GIM Goldi on 02 September 2020 - 11:17 AM

What is your suggestion?: Make the GIM bank more customizable.

Is this in OSRS?: No

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: No

How would this benefit Alora?: Yes.

Make GIM shared bank more organizable, and customizable.

As TrailerPark suggests in their post https://www.alora.io/forums/topic/55143-improving-the-group-ironman-bank/

To sum up their post, they wanted to make the GIM’s shared bank more customizable, as well as adding more space past the 100 item limit.

As it sits right now you don’t have a say what items go where. The preset tabs were a huge improvement to QOL but the main tab is a nightmare.

Any item placed in the main tab is locked into its location. Even if you try to move it, you end up removing said object. As a person who has bank OCD, this drives me crazy. Trying to keep our shared bank organized is full time job.

Also groups, like mine, who have some high level discrepancies, we have a hard time keeping low level items as well as high level items organized and under the 100 item limit.

Here is the suggestion I propose:

Firstly remove the 100 items limit.

  • As TrailerPark mentioned in their post, make this an unlockable thing. Such as total level 2500 = 50 more bank slots.

Secondly add the same features we currently have in our normal banks.

  • Having the ability to have the swap/insert feature would improve all lives.

  • Having the option for placeholders as well as deposit inventory would also simply make bank organization that much better.

At the end of the day, the GIM bank needs just a touch of rework to be something spectacular.

Thank you to Trailerpark for the inspiration.

Thank you to you for reading.
