Even tho it could be a nice QoL, Im really not a fan of adding an instanced combat training method as it makes server look significatly less active.

 

Cus the 10 guys afking sandcrabs or monkeys would go sit in there, and those are the places you go to as a new player so i personally think it would benefit alora as a whole to not have NMZ added.

 

+ most of the imbues are in the pkp shop aswell as slayer store.

 

Also there is barely any quests on alora so i really think we should stay away from doing (Maybe add the osrs NMZ rewards to the loyalty store as both points are fairly similar in its essence) One is afking combat and the other is afking/playing the game.

Hello Alorians,

We are less then 3 weeks away from Alora's 6th Anniversary!

 

This year has surely flown by during the pandemic that never seems to end, however the community has never been stronger as a family! We've had a lot of new faces recently, and hopefully with the anniversary & the TOA update coming soon we can start claiming the throne that is ours in the RSPS scene! Care to explain how me buying items from the tp to chuck into the well would crash an eco?

first of all, if you dont know how economy works, if you buy a ton of the same item, the price will skyrocket, ultimately wont even be buyable, second, items dumped into well dont work based on tp's price but the coded value of the item, so your shit doesnt work since some items are valued at 1gp when they're worth 300m

What is your suggestion?:
Add Deaths coffer as a potential item sink / alternative way for people to be able to get their items back when dying.

How would this benefit Alora?:
This would give a nice item sink outside of the gold sink being the well of goodwill. This would not only help UIM's and irons to be able to buy back their items from Zulrah, etc. But with TOA on the horizon it would also be a big benefit there. It may also help to stabilize some items as they would be removed due to being put into people coffers like the large population of prayer scrolls etc!

PVP Tournaments

The PvP tournaments require players to register in advance. Registration begins one hour before the tournament starts. All of the registered players will be entered into a randomized bracket. The bracket is posted in the registration thread and players will fight 1 versus 1 and winners will advance through the bracket.

This event takes place at ::1v1. 

You don't lose items OR Hardcore Ironman/Hardcore Group Ironman status.

Players that place 1st, 2nd and 3rd will receive a prize. The winner will also receive a forum award.

 

The starting time, location, rules, gear requirements, and other general information for PvP tournaments is posted in the registration thread that is announced an hour beforehand.

Flower Poker Tournament

The Flower Poker tournaments require players to register in advance (registration begins one hour before the tournament starts). All of the registered players will be entered into a randomized bracket. The bracket is posted in the registration thread and players will play a game of Flower Poker 1 by 1 and winners will advance through the bracket. Players that place 1st, 2nd and 3rd will receive a prize. The winner will also receive a forum award.

The tournament takes place at ::gamble using our automated gambling system. If you are on a restricted game mode account, the event manager can plant the flowers for you.

 

All seeds are provided during this tournament.

An event manager will announce a hunt for one of the pets below. The first player to receive the pet will win a prize. 

Example: "The first player to receive the Rock golem(mining) will win a prize!".

PVM Events

An event manager will announce a rare drop from a boss. The first player to obtain that drop will win a prize. 

Example: "The first player to receive an Eternal or Pegasian crystal from Cerberus wins 100m!".

Boss Hunt Event

Players will be given 72 hours, starting Friday and ending on Sunday to obtain a specified boss pet. The first player to receive a the boss pet wins a prize.

Players are required to provide a screenshot with the current server time and date in the chat box to win.

If you receive the pet, send a screenshot to an Event Manager.

World Boss Massacre

The World Boss Massacre is an event where many bosses are spawned in waves. Everyone is able to attend and fight these bosses. The drop table and boss mechanics for these bosses are the same at this event as they are in their normally spawned area(s). This event is held at ::Event in-game. The most unique drop at this event will win a gp prize and the player will also receive a forum award.

 

Some of the bosses that are spawned are: GWD Bosses, Wilderness Bosses, Cerberus, Revenant Dragons, Demonic gorillas.

This event is SAFE for Hardcore Ironman/Hardcore Group Ironman accounts. Uninsured pets are NOT SAFE.

Corporeal Beast Massacre

The Corporeal Beast Massacre is an event where Corporeal Beast's are spawned in waves. The drop table and boss mechanics are the exact same as the usual corporeal beast.

This event is SAFE for Hardcore Ironman/Hardcore Group Ironman accounts. Uninsured pets are NOT SAFE.

Chambers of Xeric Mass

In this event an event manager will announce a chambers of xeric mass. You will be required to join a specified clan chat in order to participate. Once the mass starts a chambers of xeric boost of 1.2x will be turned on in order to increase the chance of receiving a rare drop. The first 3(?) players to receive a rare drop will receive a cash prize.

This event is SAFE for Hardcore Ironman accounts and NOT SAFE for Hardcore Group Ironman Accounts. Uninsured pets are SAFE.

Edgeville PVP Event

The Edgeville PvP Event is a simple PVP event at edgeville. After the event has officially begun, players will be able to fight each other and players who obtain a kill can screenshot the kill and post it in the event thread with a number (1-20) for a goodie bag draw. All kill pictures must contain the message from the thread in the chatbox. Typically the message consists of the date and the name of the event. The event ends when all items have been claimed. All rules are outlined in the event thread.

As this event is held in the wilderness, it is NOT SAFE for items and hardcore status. Uninsured pets are NOT SAFE!

Juggernaut Event

The juggernaut event is a deep wilderness event. The event occurs in multi combat wilderness. The administrator who runs the event boosts their HP to 50,000 and is now the juggernaut. In order to get the kill you must attack the Juggernaut and do the most damage. Once the juggernaut is dead, the killer is announced to everybody and a full inventory of items are dropped for the killer. 

It is now the killers job to loot as much as possible and get out. Any items not picked up within a minute will appear to everybody else.

As this event is held in the wilderness, it is NOT SAFE for items and hardcore status. Uninsured pets are NOT SAFE!

I think the scaling is working properly because I do believe when you are duoing mobs have 2x the hp as they do in a solo (which is same in your scaling document).

 

I'm not sure how points in cox work on OSRS but on alora 1 damage = 1 point. 

 

8k points in a solo/duo (personal points) is max amount of points for rolls in cox on alora, unless this is changed CM is kinda useless because you can hit 8k points very easy on normal layouts.

 

Olm is arguably the easiest room in cox, where you simply have to run between 2 tiles the entire fight, could be changed to be harder and make cox more exciting but we play alora for the simple mechanics so i'd like to keep it the same :)

What is your suggestion?: My suggestion is to enable the option to change the monkey's resources as it was done with the max cape

How would this benefit Alora?: enable the option to change the resources of the monkey as was done with the max cape, because when we reach the next level (Monkey) we end up not using the max cape and we lose access to this extremely useful resource that allows us to access it easier and faster , extremely useful in pvm.

I don't think it's developers fault for the fact people like to complain about bugs instead of reporting them and being too lazy to report them is not on us either. I really do not understand the argument content does not function properly and been here x amount of time, if you aren't reporting the errors/bugs in the content do not expect it to be fixed simple as that.

What is your suggestion?: To improve upon the current impling catch rates and make it more akin to OSRS

How would this benefit Alora?: Adds more continuity between Alora and OSRS, as well as rewarding players for having a high Hunter level.

For example: Eclectic implings should have a 100% catch rate if you're 93+ Hunter with a Magic Butterfly Net
