With all the new challenge accounts out there (location restricted, tile restricted, etc.) I came up with an ORIGINAL challenge that can ONLY be done on Alora....an account that is restricted to training the bonus skill of the day.

I knew the account had to be an ironman, so to make it even more interesting I chose HCIM. The XP rate is decent and there's an additional challenge to not die. For some people that's a non-issue but I afk PVM way too much, especially while I'm working from home, and I have died on 4 HCIM this way.....so I'm sure it's inevitable.

Anyway, I created the account yesterday and although I probably could've timed it better, it did in fact turn out to be a decent day to start the account...Yesterday's bonus skill of the day was Hunter so it allowed me to get a decent amount of items (armor/weapons, seeds, herbs, potions, gems, ores, bars, etc. even a ring of life which I'm sure will come in handy). I focused much of my time on catching Implings, which isn't great XP but it was for the purpose of getting items/resources.

Today the bonus skill is construction and unfortunately, I don't think I can do anything... Without 10m to buy a house, my original plan was to do Wintertodt on my main, which is going for 200m, and when the brazier breaks, I'll just step in with my Bonus SotD account and fix the brazier for easy construction XP. This would've been a great strategy, as I got to mid-50 construction on a previous HCIM account by the time I reached 99 firemaking. Not bad, however to my disappointment, you actually do need 50 firemaking just to enter WT...I thought it would've been 50 firemaking to add logs to the brazier.

On the same note, I originally wanted to train WT at 10 hitpoints for obvious reasons, but committing to that strategy would limit myself more than is realistic. I would be unable to play this account for something like 12 out of the next 18 days, which would be boring.

So, here is my current strategy over the 1st full cycle:

• (22 Construction) - can't do anything, at least I don't think so
• (23 Defence) - through slayer. It's going to be very interesting using an iron warhammer and literally hitting 1's
• (24 Strength) - through slayer
• (25 Hitpoints) - since there is no Attack bonus skill day, HP days will be my Attack days
• (26 Range) - through slayer
• (27 Prayer) - bones collected from slayer and hunter
• (28 Magic) - through slayer
• (29 Cooking) - cook food collected from slayer and hunter
• (30 Woodcutting)
• (31 Fletching)
• (01 Defence) - through slayer
• (02 Strength) - through slayer
• (03 Hitpoints) - attack day
• (04 Range) - through slayer
• (05 Prayer) - bones collected from slayer
• (06 Magic) - through slayer
• (07 Cooking) - will probably not be able to train, unless I somehow have raw food from slayer drops
• (08 Woodcutting)
• (09 Fletching) - need to make sure I save enough logs for Wintertodt, which'll require 50 firemaking
• (10 Fishing)
• (11 Firemaking) - 50 firemaking, then wintertodt. Will be doing WT alongside my main, who will need to fix braziers, make the potion & heal the NPC
• (12 Crafting) - will be able to use the leather collected from hunter to train
• (13 Smithing) - again, from items collected through hunter and also potential slayer drops
• (14 Mining)
• (15 Herblore) - from items collected through slayer/hunter
• (16 Agility)
• (17 Thieving) - I was hoping this bonus skill would be a lot sooner to build up a nice cash stack for runes & for addy scim but I guess that won't be the case. I can still buy addy scim @ Shayzien
• (18 Slayer) - I will either be making this an "off day" since it's being trained on every combat skill or I'll give myself the freedom to choose which combat style to also train on this day
• (19 Farming) - ah, my beloved farming skill. I should have plenty of items by now to finally start training this relaxing skill
• (20 Runecrafting) - I already have some essence from implings, but I'll have to try out the new RC minigame on my main to see if this could be an option for my restricted account
• (21 Hunter) - by now I should have plenty of materials so I'll probably just do red chins until I'm able to catch dragon & lucky imps for better loo

Then it's back to square one and I'll be modifying my methods as I go!

UPDATE #1 - I somehow missed the fact that there is NO attack bonus day, so I'll have HP days be my Attack days

UPDATE #2 - Defence was a tough first combat skill to train... I blew through all the food I collected through hunter on my 2nd slayer task (rockslugs). As I expected, I did not a single hit above 1 lol meanwhile rockslugs were hitting me 4's. In retrospect I probably should've kept resetting my task to get cows (for cowhides/bones) or for men (for herbs, caskets, and bones). That would've been a lot smarter, but oh well.

This month we will be interviewing 2 long time players, Extremedanny and Elsa.

 

 

Let's start off with Extremedanny

 

Lowkey: As a long time player, what keeps you playing Alora after all these years?

Extremedanny: Well Alora has always been on top of the game for keeping up to date with osrs most recent updates. Which means we always have exciting new content to try out. Also the community on here has to be the best of all rsps's. Especially for those who stay around, everyone knows everyone.

 

Lowkey: What has been your longest dry streak on a particular item?

Extremedanny: Pet wise that would be the abyssal orphan which took me 10443 sire kills ;-;

Item wise that probably has to be the twisted bow which its been about 2k kills since my last one if i combine my accounts kc's

 

Lowkey: What is something on Alora that could be improved?

Extremedanny: Would love to see some more rewards added to clue scrolls. Aswell as mimics and a new clue pet.

 

Lowkey: What is your favorite thing to do outside of Alora?

Extremedanny:I like to hang out with friends, go to the gym and I like to go on an hike and explore nature. Even though nature is kinda hard to find here so I usually do that when I travel.

 

Lowkey: If peanut butter wasn’t called peanut butter, what would it be called?

Extremedanny: Well, here in the Netherlands it is called ''Pindakaas''. Which means peanutcheese, so guess I will have to go with that.

 

 

 

 

Next up, Elsa!

 

Lowkey: As a long time player, what keeps you playing Alora after all these years?

Elsa: Oooh I'm not sure there's a specific reason anymore! I think I'm just really emotionally attached to the game nowadays haha

The people here are nice, the environment is nice, I think that's enough for me.

 

Lowkey: What is your most favorite activity to do on Alora and why?

Elsa: Right now I'm enjoying flipping alot! I used to do a lot of flipping on Habbo Hotel, but now that run is over and so I've moved that hobby over on to here haha.

 

Lowkey: Do you think Alora will around for another 5 years?

Elsa: I believe so! In my opinion, Alora honestly provides a better environment & experience for players than just about all multiplayer I've ever played! I believe that people will want to continue playing something that works really well, is steadily developed and fun. Dan, Chad & the staff team are doing a great job developing, moderating and maintaining this game. 

 

Lowkey: If there wasn't Alora, what game would you spend your free time playing?

Elsa: I probably wouldn't be playing any other games if I'm being honest. Alora is the only game I care about at the moment.

Truth be told, Runescape 3, OSRS and Habbo hotel are all rather unplayable and simply unfun nowadays. I've got no reason to play those anymore!

 

Lowkey: What mythical creature would improve the world most if it existed?

Elsa: Are there any Mythical creatures that would improve the world? I can't think of any!

Although if I had to choose something... I'd have to bend the rules a bit and say SCP-2000! It's more of a fictional "failsafe-mechanism" rather than a mythical creature It basically acts as a "reset switch" to humanity if we ever end up to nuking ourselves.

I tend to not make much noise in the community, (a lot of you probably have probably never heard of me before lol)
But for this once I'd like to just thank everyone (especially Omicron & the staff team throughout the ages) for creating and maintaining such a wonderful community
I've thoroughly enjoyed my time on Alora for the past almost 5 years, and I hope to see it around for more years to come :)

The server doesn't need to be restarted once a day. At most it needs a restart once every 3-4 weeks, although that's generally not even the case. I know it's easy for misinformation to spread, since once a few people mention the server needs a reboot I hear it mentioned constantly, but rest assured that's not the case most of the time. At the moment, the server is processing each game tick within the normal range, so any lag being experience is not from the server being up for too long, at least not this case.

It has been awhile since we released any infographics/statistics for the server, and following some recent suggestions to update the old pet infographic, we've decided to update you with not only the skilling/boss pet total counts, but also with various Alora statistics. We always find these infographics interesting to look at, so we hope that you enjoy them as well :)
 

Note: Classic mode counts are included in Normal counts (as they are the only game mode that does not have a restricted economy).

[June 11th, 2020] Update
We've updated to v4 today with some major performance improvements, so if any of you were experiencing lower FPS than on the original client, this update should make them more similar

On top of this, we've updated the list of allowed groups to include:

• Legendary donators

We've officially entered the first beta testing phase for the new RuneLite client! Access is currently limited to just a handful of people, as we'd like to make sure that it is not too buggy before we allow more people to test. The following groups are currently eligible for early beta access as of today:

• Administrators
• Immortal donators
• Moderators (Forum, Server and Global) -- Added May 20th
• Master donators -- Added May 20th
• Server Support -- Added May 31st
• Uber donators -- Added May 31st
• Legendary donators -- Added June 10th

As we move further into testing and become more comfortable with the stability of the client, we will expand this access by adding new groups to the list. As of now, we are aware that there may be some gamebreaking bugs and do not want to get overloaded with bug reports from too many users at once.

Once your member group becomes eligible for testing, you will receive a PM on the forums with a link to download the client as well as any further information that you need to know to join the beta :)

Hardcore Completionist Monkey Bank Progress

I don't want to make a list of names that i want to shout out because i'm afraid ill forget somebody and hurt their feelings but i can confidently say this would havenot been possible without the

efforts and encouragement from my clan mates @DynastyClan 

Thank you to everybody who supported me!

• This guides aim is to explain how to get 200m in skills, not 99. Theres enough guides on the forums for those. In this guide i assume the player knows the basic information about the skill, how it works etc.
• In my calculations i used the following bonusses: Well of goodwill, 50% bonus xp from votebook. (as you should use these whilst going for 200m's for sure!)
• The following extra bonusses could be used to speed things up: Bonus event xp, Gods blessing, skill of the day bonus, items for bonus xp (see skills), wilderniss xp.
• Get the gods blessing whenever you can, its worth it!
• My calculations show the amount of actions from 0 to exactly 200m xp.
• Getting donator before doing any of these grinds is worth it. The extra options and noted supplies add up.

Below is every single skill. Ive added calculations and some important info for each skill. 
The important numbers are green.
