Not that I look at the boosts on a daily basis, but it would seem like a good QoL update, like other commands, it provides more convenience

I think the two that tied for me this year was having an old friend re-join Alora after so many years, and being the First to complete the Phantom Muspha collection log at around 155 kc

Christmas Giveaway 2023

 

When?: December 25th (Unless done on 24th)

 

Timewise: Most likely around the evening hours EST

 

Festive Theme?: Something that'll make old Saint Nick crack a smile (Red and White)

 

 

 

 

 

Well, formatting and decorating aside, I hope y'all are having a nice holiday this year. And just like every year since I've started doing these, it's that time of year once more, the Annual Christmas Giveaway! Hopefully I can squeeze it in during the events that will be planned by our lovely staff during that weekend, but I suppose where one can't win in one event, they have another shot within another. Anyways, without further ado, I shall give the quick rundown on the events that'll be happening!

 

 

Hide-n-seek: 

 

Similarly to that of the Halloween Giveaway that occurred 2 months ago, I will be hiding within the world of Gielinor from various cities, visiting the local residencies to give them a bit of holiday cheers! The hints will be provided over yell and just like every year, there will be the same requirements 

• Upon finding the host at the current hiding spot, participants will have to trade the host
• Once the trade has been confirmed, the participants will be asked whether or not they've been "Naughty" or "Nice"

The Host will then reward the player with the corresponding reward within the inventory

 

                    Reminder: "Naughty" or "Nice" doesn't mean that the reward will correspond with the answer, it's a 50/50 chance of being an item worth of great or little value, regardless it is free money

 

 

 

Hide-n-seek will continue for at least 14 rounds, with some Races sprinkled within, may Saradomin bless your shoes of choice to dash across the pixels to find the host

 

 

 

 

 

After Hide-n-seek:

 

 

 

Loot Crates: 

 

So aside from one particular interest's towards the "Loot Crates" that I had done during the Halloween Giveaway, I will attempt to do it again.

 

There will be a few (5?) "Crates" that will be hidden within a random location, players must search the location in question to "find" (Trade) the hidden crates to receive the reward hidden within.

 

What will be inside these "Loot Crates" you ask? 

• Answer: I have no idea! Will it be a ton of gold? Perhaps a giant sword? Even a bucket helmet to put Plankton to shame?! Nobody knows!

 

Cyphers?:

 

Still debating on this, but basically I take the name of an NPC and scramble the name. The players will have to use a bit of brain power, unfortunately yes, to unscramble the word to find out the name. Afterwhich the player must go to that NPC to trade the host who's waiting

 

•  May include Locations but I would like some feedback on this, if I find a website to scramble the words, just maybe I'll give it a experimental shot here before deciding whether or not to keep the idea.

 

 

 

Donations:

 

Yes I will be taking donations regarding the Christmas Event, it can be either cash or items, I will either keep them in the bank or put it on my alt account until the Giveaway starts

 

• Will I be personally asking for donations? No, they should be of the player's own willingness, I will ask a few friends online but other than that, you can pm me ingame regarding donations

You're invited to the annual Alora Halloween Giveaway!

 

Location?: All over Gilenor 

 

When?: October 31st (unless moved to the weekend due to irl reasons)

Note: Participants actually wearing an outfit will receive a bonus prize :)

 

 

 

 

Hide-n-Seek:

 

Just like every other year, participants will have to search the host via clues given out in yell, some will be simple and some will have a small holiday flair to it. There will be 14 rounds and each Player has a limit of 3 winnings

 

• Once found, the Player must trade the Host in order to confirm the win and claim of the prize
• Once confirmed, the Player will be asked "Trick or Treat?" to which the Player must pick a choice of receiving a "Trick" or a "Treat" to which the Host will give the Player the corresponding prize once selected. 

Note: "Trick" Option won't always be the worst choice and "Treat" Option won't always be the best choice, regardless, it is a 50/50 chance to win something fairly decent or something just average. Please don't take offense to winning somethin average

 

 

 

Post Hide-n-Seek:

 

An option will be given to the Players still participating in the event, the Player's limits will be reset back to 0 to allow them the chance to further player. The following choices are what the Players will be able to choose to continue/finish the Giveaway

 

 

 

Crate Boxes: 

 

The Host will place random items in several Crates stashed all around a random City before the said City is announced via Yell, the Players must find the Crates to claim the hidden loot inside, who ever said loot crates were a scam (They very much are)

 

 

 

Races:

 

The Host will hide in a random location around the map before yelling said location for the Players to reach the Host first as fast as they can, may your world knowledge be sharp

 

 

 

Drop Party:

 

The name speaks for itself, so tell me, does your pid feel lucky?

New Format: 

  Ok so here me out on this one, since I'm a bit...poorer than I should be this year due to bad spending habits, this year will be run a bit differently than usual. Rather than finding me all over Alora, this time it'll be done in 1 fell swoop. 

 

Objective: Find the "Crates" that are filled with goodies!
Map: 

 

 

 

There will be several "Crates", or in this case, presents, hidden around Falador, your task is to "trade" these crates in order to claim the prize inside! 

 

• ​Unfortunately, I can only be logged onto so many alt accs to do this

 

Rules: 

• The "Crates" will not be located in Falador Mine (Underground) due to just how big it is
• It will be within the city walls of Falador
• Please don't just camp the city tele
• Players can only claim 1 "Crate", allows others to have a chance

 

 

 

Notes:

• I should've done this weeks ago cause now I barely got anything extra to give away because i've been investing on other items...
• Have yourselves a Merry Christmas because this winter storm has yet to hit where I live (East Coast) so I'm gonna try to stay warm..Hopefully get out of work early...*CRIES IN GODDAMIT*
