What is your suggestion?:

Allow us to use the Seed Box directly on an empty farming patch to plant a seed stored inside it.

I’ve noticed that even when I bring my Seed Box on a farm run, I still have to open it, withdraw the seed I want, plant it and then put everything away again.

It is not a huge inconvenience, but it makes the box feel more like bank storage than something designed to be used throughout the run.

Ideally, using the box on a patch would plant the first compatible seed listed inside it. We could then rearrange the seeds through the “Check” interface to decide which ones take priority.

For example, if Ranarr seeds are listed before Snapdragon seeds, using the box on an herb patch would plant a Ranarr seed. The usual Farming-level requirement and normal number of seeds would still apply.

If rearranging the seeds would be difficult to implement, even a simple “Set priority” option would work.

Is this in OSRS?:

Yes.

OSRS added this on June 3, 2026. Players can use their Seed Box directly on a farming patch, and it will attempt to plant the first suitable seed stored inside.

Has this suggestion been accepted already?:

Not that I could find.

I found some older Seed Box suggestions involving storage and adding seeds to the box, but nothing covering this newer direct-planting and priority feature.

How would this benefit Alora?:

I think this would make farm runs feel smoother without actually making Farming easier or faster in any meaningful way.

It would be especially nice for Ironmen and UIMs who tend to keep several types of seeds stored in their box, but anyone doing herb runs, Farming contracts or the newer Hops patches could benefit from it.

Nothing about the actual progression would change. It would not increase XP, improve yields, save seeds or automate the run. You would still need the correct Farming level and the normal number of seeds.

It would simply remove a few unnecessary steps and make the Seed Box feel more useful while it is actually in your inventory.

It is a small change, but I think it is one of those QoL improvements that would be appreciated every time someone does a farm run.

Let me know what you guys think or if there is anything I may have overlooked.

I mean, I wouldn’t say No…

Can still withdraw x10 seeds from the box when wanted then for “quick runs” just always have that one seed on slot1.

support.
