#445630 [18/11/22] Tombs of Amascut Changes, Nex Rebalancing, Sound Expansion, 3D Wea...

Hello everyone,

We are back with another round of updates! This week, we've heard your feedback on Tombs of Amascut and made many changes to make the experience even smoother -- we've also added in the ToA plugin, and the Scoreboard in the lobby to keep track of how you compare to others' statistics. We've also noted suggestions for Nex, and we've rebalanced the loot, combat mechanics and respawn time (including Nightmare's respawn time) to make it less of a grind in the Ancient Prison. Aside from that, Alora now has the 3D Weather on the Plugin Hub, which will allow you to have rainfall and snowfall, among other weather settings! The game's sound have been updated as well, and many NPCs and weapons will now have their proper sounds.

  • Tombs of Amascut changes:
    • Bonus loot rate:
      • Tombs of Amascut bonus loot rate has been added (capped at 1.2x similar to other raids).
    • Tombs of Amsacut scoreboard:
      • Players can now use the scoreboard in the Tombs of Amascut lobby to view the tracked stats for each tier of the raid.
        • The board displays player/global statistics for 1-8 man teams in the entry/normal/expert categories, and shows the global/player deaths, attempts, completions, and best overall/challenge times.
          • The board will only show stats (except player completions) for raids completed after this update, since we were not previously tracking this data.
    • Tombs of Amascut Plugin:
      • Players can now access the Tombs of Amascut plugin through the Runelite client.
        • This plugin provides features to help players solve the Het, Scabaras, and Apmeken challenge rooms during the raid.
          • It also changes the overlay timer to show how much time the team has left if they’re on a timed invocation, and adds options to screenshot their invocations selected.
    • BaBa Sounds:
      • Sounds have been added in the BaBa boss fight.
    • Loot changes:
      • The following donator ranks will now have a higher chance of receiving unique loot from the chest:
        • Eternal - 10% boost
        • Immortal - 8% boost
        • Master - 6.5%
        • Uber - 5% boost
        • Legendary - 3% boost
        • Extreme - 2% boost
    • Bug fixes:
      • During the Warden's fight, BaBa's Phantom's boulder attack has been slowed down, except for enraged state:
        • Normal mode: delay was previously 6 ticks, but is now 8 ticks.
        • Insanity mode: delay was previously 4 ticks, but is now 6 ticks.
        • Warden enraged state: Will now always be 4 ticks (was not attacking faster in this state before)
      • TOA personal bests will now show up in the killcount boss log.
      • Player's will now be notified when the boosters enhance their loot at TOA.
      • You will no longer be able to deposit another pickaxe in the Path of Het challenge room if there is already a pickaxe stored (previously deleted your old pickaxe).
      • Tumeken's shadow can now properly be charged without risk of losing runes.
        • Previously, it would sometimes charge your staff with the incorrect number of charges, or simply delete soul runes.
      • The raid timer now ends when the Warden reaches 0 health, rather than when the death animation ends.
      • BaBa's rolling boulders no longer crush rubble if he is done with his throwing phase. This was sometimes causing old rolling boulders to crush new rubble that had just dropped from the ceiling, and leaving players defenseless.
      • The "Quiet Prayers" invocation now works as intended with Zebak, no longer allowing you to completely block his damage when this invocation is enabled. Instead, you'll be hit for a very small amount (10% of the full damage, so a 30 hit would deal 3 damage on you).
      • ToA supplies are now tradeable.
      • Players will now have 100% accuracy against the warden core and energy siphons.
      • Fixed a bug where the warden phantoms would remain after dying in phase 3 and restarting the fight.
      • The holy ghrazi rapier is no longer tradeable.
      • Phase 1 wardens will no longer deal delayed damage if the core is out.
      • Akkha and wardens will no longer overheal when entering their final phases.
      • It is no longer possible to get the "infinite" loot from ToA chest, usually for Blood essence or Magic seeds. These rewards were not actually infinite, but giving 0 of the item and showing an infinity symbol.
        • You will now receive at least one of any item shown in the reward interface.
      • Players now have a small window of immunity from unstable orbs after being hit by one.
      • Fixed a bug where players would get duplicate keris gems from TOA.
      • The phase 3 Warden will now properly remember the last tiles lifted when the insanity invocation is enabled.
      • Players will now get more supplies from the supply reducing invocations at TOA.
      • Akkha's unstable orbs now have a maximum hit of 25 rather than 27.
      • Player’s will now have 1 extra tick to react to ba-ba’s shockwave attack if the “shaking things up” invocation is enabled.
      • Phantom's no longer deal damage after the raid is completed.
      • Players can no longer get duplicate pet morph kits from TOA.
  • Nex rebalancing:
    • Nex’s attack/defence bonuses have been changed to match OSRS. Overall, these changes should make Nex way easier to hit with Melee and Magic, but will also make Nex’s melee/ranged attacks more accurate, and Magic attacks less accurate.
      • Nerfs:
        • Stab defence: 560 -> 40
        • Slash defence: 580 -> 140
        • Crush defence: 540 -> 60
        • Magic defence: 600 -> 300
        • Magic accuracy: 150 -> 100
      • Boosts:
        • Ranged defence: 175 -> 190
        • Attack level: 170 -> 315
        • Strength level: 170 -> 200
        • Defence level: 170 -> 260
        • Magic level: 170 -> 230
        • Ranged level: 170 -> 350
    • Nex loot changes:
      • Nex loot will now be much easier to obtain, as she will have the ability to drop more than one unique drop.
        • The base rate is 1/43, divided amongst the number of players. For example, with a two-player team, each player will have a 1/86 chance to obtain loot, and both can get a single unique drop each.
          • Players can also further enhance their individual chance via:
            • Being MVP, which provides a 10% boost.
            • Having a drop booster, which provides a 25% boost.
            • Killing Nex while a Nex loot rate bonus is turned on.
      • The Nexling pet can now be obtained by multiple players in one kill.
      • The Nexling pet will now be 10% easier for the MVP (previously, MVP’s bonus was only applied to other uniques).
    • Nex respawn time changes:
      • Nex will now respawn after 30 seconds rather than 72 seconds.
  • Nightmare respawn time changes:
    • Nightmare will now respawn after 30 seconds rather than 72 seconds.
  • Bank Noting Changes:
    • Players can now speak to a banker to toggle between unnoting as many items as they can carry, or being able to specify the amount when using a bank-note on a banker or bank booth.
      • The default option for this will be to withdraw as many items as possible.
    • Players who specify the amount of items to withdraw will now see an option to withdraw the previously specified amount.
  • Client changes:
    • 3D Weather Plugin:
      • This plugin has been added to the Plugin Hub.
      • A plugin that gives immersive, 3D weather with dynamic weather cycles and ambience (sounds).
        • Weather settings:
          • Rain
          • Snow
          • Fog
          • Ashfall
          • Stars
      • Note that this plugin looks best when the colour of the skybox is changed through the default Skybox plugin. It looks even better with 117HD enabled!
    • PvP Performance Tracker Plugin:
      • This plugin has been added to Alora's client.
      • Tracks PvP performance by keeping track of various stats. Only useful for 1v1 PvP fights that involve overhead prayers and/or gear switching, Last Man Standing being the perfect example.
        • May be buggy in multi-fights, and not recommended for use there.
    • Clan Events Plugin:
      • This plugin has been added to the Plugin Hub.
      • A plugin helpful for clan events. It creates an overlay that displays the event password and time (UTC) to your screen. This plugin can utilize Google Sheets API to retrieve data from Google Spreadsheets.
  • Sounds:
    • Many new sounds have been added, including:
      • Combat sounds:
        • Generics:
          • Pickaxe attack
          • Wand attack
          • Claws attack

    • Fixed a bug where the inventory setups plugin would not add runes to the divine rune pouch.
    • Fixed a bug where players could not get the full dark totem drop from skotizo.
    • Putting together a dark totem will now add the dark totem to a Player’s Collection log.

    • Casting Teleblock with a Toxic Staff of the Dead in PvP will no longer be able to inflict venom onto other players.

We'll continue to fix up any lingering bugs in ToA while we work on new content, but we hope that the experience is improved significantly after this update. Enjoy!

Great work on this guide! @Selenagomez

I'm sure this will be incredibly helpful to players who are unfamiliar with the raid mechanics, especially the videos.

#444591 [4/11/22] Raids III: Tombs of Amascut

Posted by Omicron on 07 November 2022 - 02:27 AM

[7/11/22] Hotfixes:

Another round of hotfixes have been applied! ToA is looking a lot smoother already, and aside from some small bugs and rebalancing changes we feel very satisfied with the current state of the raid :)

  • Tombs of Amascut is NO LONGER a safe death for Hardcore ironmen.
    • This was bugged and only removing rank on Hardcore GROUP Ironman, but will now apply to ALL Hardcore Ironman.
  • Fixed a bug where Dark cores would not de-spawn after a few minutes of inactivity.
  • The unstable orbs will no longer deal damage if Akkha's hp is 0.
  • BaBa will no longer throw a large rock at players after the rolling boulder phase.
  • BaBa’s melee swipe when rocks are falling will no longer hit heavy through prayer (fixed and tested this time).
  • Any boulders that were falling from the ceiling will no longer form rocks if BaBa jumps to the top to perform his Rolling Stones attack.
  • Players can now go back through barriers in a challenge room to pick up any supplies that they dropped (eg. Brews/restores to swap for hammer in Apmeken challenge room).
  • Fixed a bug where players could safespot Akkha.
  • Fixed a bug where the the hovered tiles and the Ground marker plugin tiles would be incorrect at Akkha/Nightmare.
  • Players will no longer receive Honey locusts after dying if the On a diet invocation is active.
  • The Phase 2 wardens will now use the special attacks slightly less often.
  • The Phase 2 warden core will now last an extra 17 ticks after the first down, and then 8 extra ticks for any extra down after the 2nd.
    • For example, on the first down, the core appears for 25 ticks, then the second/third will last for 42 ticks, then for the next downs, it will be 42, plus an additional 8 ticks for each extra down after the 3rd.
  • The wardens/core/obelisk will now be immune to poison/venom.
  • If a player dies at the same time as the final Warden, they will no longer get stuck as a ghost and be unable to loot.
    • Instead, they’ll be placed next to the teleport crystal and can enter the reward room to loot.
  • Potentially fixed the issue with mid-raid supplies at TOA.
    • Please let us know if you’re still encountering an issue with them.
  • Fixed a bug where the Deadly prayers invocation was still reducing prayer effectiveness by 25%.
  • Fixed a bug where protection prayers were not reducing incoming damage by enough during the Phase 2 warden fight.
    • Prayers will now reduce the incoming damage by 80%, rather than 60%.
    • Quality of Life:
      • Reduced the amount of health the wardens have in Phase 2.
      • Akkha's accuracy has been reduced by 15% across the board, particularly since Alora's pathing mechanics don't allow players to use the Butterfly Method to kite akkha at higher raid invocations.
      • Protection prayers will now reduce Akkha’s damage by 70% rather than 60%.

#444413 [4/11/22] Raids III: Tombs of Amascut

Posted by Omicron on 06 November 2022 - 12:23 AM

[6/11/22] Hotfixes:

Although we applied a bunch of fixes yesterday that we did not post update notes for, we have patched up another round of bugs and hopefully ToA will feel significantly smoother now:

  • Tombs of Amascut Fixes:
    • Players will properly be freed from the sidelines when the final Warden fight is complete.
    • Dead players in ToA (ghosts) can no longer use emotes.
    • Multiple mirrors can no longer be picked up in ToA.
    • A bug where some players would not be able to enter challenges has been fixed.
    • BaBa’s ceiling boulders will no longer trap players in the rubble.
    • If BaBa starts his rolling boulders attack right after throwing a large boulder at you, that thrown boulder will no longer damage you, as you are unable to defend against it.
    • Bosses (BaBa, Akkha, and Tumeken/Elidinis’ wardens) can no longer be frozen/snared.
    • BaBa’s melee attack while a boulder was dropping from the ceiling was hitting much higher than it should have (it was using the boulder damage calculation rather than melee) and has been fixed.
    • Baboon shamans will spawn thralls less frequently.
    • Fixed a bug where the ice orb effect at Akkha would not properly be removed after 25 ticks.
    • Added a 2 tick delay before the trailing orbs can explode at Akkha.
    • Players now have 3 ticks longer to toggle the correct prayer against Akkha’s mage/range attacks.
    • Fixed a bug where superiors would drop 3 of the same totem pieces sometimes.
    • Adjusted the npc accuracy to match OSRS for Akkha, Zebak, and the Wardens.
      • This should, on average, make the npc’s far less accurate, assuming the player is wearing the correct gear to defend against the attack.
    • Donators will now have increased loot rolls when rolling on the common drop table at the Tombs of Amass.
      • The amount of rolls will be similar to what is listed in the FAQ:
        • Extreme donators will have a max of 4 items (rather than 3), all the way up until Eternals who can get a max of 7 items.
  • Other fixes:
    • Fixed a bug where the Twisted bow was not properly adjusting damage in rare instances.
      • The first instance is when the boost would harm max damage
        • For example, at sand crabs, since they have a magic level/accuracy of 1, the max damage would be reduced to 54% of the normal max hit
      • The second instance is when an npc had a magic accuracy bonus that was higher than their magic level, it would sometimes use the magic level instead.
        • This was happening at Zebak, so the twisted bow should now perform significantly better against him.

Hello everyone,

The wait is finally over! The Tombs of Amascut are now available to all adventurers who are brave enough to enter. Alora’s Third Raid takes place deep within the Kharidian Desert, where players must take on Amascut, formerly known as the Goddess of Rebirth, and now known as the Devourer — those who can make it out alive may find an abundance of wealth buried within the tombs of the pyramid.

We’re proud to be the first RSPS to release ToA and provide our players with the new raiding experience as quickly as we could. We’re also looking forward to getting back to our usual update schedule, as we’re sure you’ve noticed that there has been a lack of consistent updates since we undertook this project.

Last but not least, you won’t want to miss our Anniversary events this Sunday, so take a break from Raiding to join us for a chance at some incredible prizes! More info can be found here: Alora's 6th Anniversary Drop Party

  • Tombs of Amascut:
    • To get to the  Tombs of Amascut, players can either type the ::toa command, or use the the teleport wizard to get there.
      • If the entrance to the pyramid is blocked off, it means that the player does not have the necessary requirements to enter.
        • Players will require at least 55 Firemaking, 55 Crafting, and 62 Agility to enter.
      • Once inside, players can use the obelisk in the centre to create a party and set their invocations for the raid. Other members can apply to join the party.
        • There are many invocations to choose from, so we’ve decided to let players discover them for themselves.
          • Be warned, each invocation that is activated will not only add special mechanics that make the raid more difficult, but they will also increase the difficult of the raid by increasing the damage that enemies do, the hitpoints that they have, and the defence/accuracy of them.
    • Once inside, players will be able to choose from 4 possible paths, and must complete a challenge room, followed by a boss room within each path.
      • Once all 4 paths are completed, the final path of the Wardens will become available, where players can take on the final wardens in the 3-phase fight.
    • Rewards:
      • Maisa, who is within the Tombs of Amascut lobby area, will sell players the Keris Partisan for 600k coins.
      • Eye of the corruptor:
        • This is an untradable item that can be attached to the Keris partisan to create the Keris partisan of corruption.
          • This is an upgraded version of the Keris partisan that can only be used in the Tombs of amascut.
            • It is similar to the Keris partisan, but has a special attack, which consumes 75% special attack energy.
              • This special attack provides 100% increased accuracy, and 25% increased damage for the next hit.
                • On a succesful hit, the target will receive 25% increased damage for 10 ticks (6 seconds).
                  • The player who performs the special attack will be unable to attack for the next 8 ticks (4.8 seconds), regardless of if the hit was successful or not.
      • Jewel of the sun:
        • This is an untradable item that can be attached to the Keris partisan to create the Keris partisan of the sun.
          • This is an upgraded version of the Keris partisan that can only be used in the Tombs of amascut.
            • Passive effects:
              • 25% increased accuracy against targets with less than 25% health.
              • Heals the player for 12 hitpoints upon killing a target, at the cost of 5 prayer points.
                • This effect allows the player to overhaul by up to 20% (max of 119 hp).
            • Special attack:
              • The special attack for this weapon requires 75% special attack energy, and will fully heal the player to their maximum health + 20%, cures poison, and restores the player’s run energy/drained stats.
      • Breach of the Scarab.
        • This is an untradable item that can be attached to the Keris partisan to create the Keris partisan of breaching.
          • Unlike the other 2 upgraded Keris partisan’s, this one can be used anywhere in the game.
          • Passive effect:
            • Additional 33% accuracy against Kalphites and Scarabs.
      • Osmumten’s Fang:
        • This is a new stab weapon, which requires level 82 attack to wield.
          • This weapon boasts the following 2 passive effects:
            • The fang rolls twice for accuracy, taking the higher of the two rolls, making it far more accurate than most weapons.
            • The fang always deals between 15%-85% of it’s maximum damage.
              • This means that if a player sees a max hit of 60, they will never hit 60 (unless they use the special attack), but they will also never hit.
                • The damage will be constrained between 9 and 51.
          • This weapon deals full damage against Corporeal beast.
          • Special attack:
            • The special attack for this weapon consumes 25% special attack energy, and will increase accuracy by 50%, and increase the damage range from 15%-85% to 15%-100% of the max hit.
      • Elidinis’ Ward:
        • This is a new mage shield requiring 80 magic, defence, and prayer to equip, which provides a 3% magic damage bonus.
        • The Ward can be fortified using an arcane sigil and 10,000 Soul runes, creating the far stronger Elidinis’ Ward (F)
          • This fortified ward is untradable, but can be dismantled, though the soul runes will be lost permanently.
          • Creating the fortified ward requires 90 Smithing and Prayer, and will provide 260 base experience to each of these skills.
          • This fortified variant provides 5 more magic attack bonus, 1 extra prayer bonus, and 5% magic damage boost over the Arcane spirit shield.
      • Lightbearer:
        • This ring allows players to recover their special attack energy twice as fast (every 15 seconds, rather than every 30 seconds).
          • If the player unequips or equips the ring, it will skip the next special attack cycle, so beware!
            • The regen meter plugin has been updated to reflect the current state of special attack energy recovery.
      • Masori Mask:
        • This mask requires 30 defence and level 80 ranged to equip.
          • It can be fortified by using 1 armadylean plate, giving it greater defensive bonuses, and +1 prayer bonus, given that the player has level 90 Crafting (unboostable).
            • Armadylean plates can be obtained by using a chisel on a piece of Armadyl range armour, but this requires level 90 Crafting, and cannot be boosted for.
            • Once fortified, the process cannot be reversed, however the fortified item is tradable.
      • Masori Body:
        • This mask requires 30 defence and level 80 ranged to equip.
          • It can be fortified by using 4 armadylean plates, giving it greater defensive bonuses, and +1 prayer bonus, given that the player has level 90 Crafting (unboostable).
            • Armadylean plates can be obtained by using a chisel on a piece of Armadyl range armour, but this requires level 90 Crafting, and cannot be boosted for.
            • Once fortified, the process cannot be reversed, however the fortified item is tradable.
      • Masori Chaps:
        • This mask requires 30 defence and level 80 ranged to equip.
          • It can be fortified by using 3 armadylean plates, giving it greater defensive bonuses, and +1 prayer bonus, given that the player has level 90 Crafting (unboostable).
            • Armadylean plates can be obtained by using a chisel on a piece of Armadyl range armour, but this requires level 90 Crafting, and cannot be boosted for.
            • Once fortified, the process cannot be reversed, however the fortified item is tradable.
      • Tumeken’s shadow:
        • This staff requires level 85 Magic to equip, and has a built-in spell that requires the staff be charged to use.
          • The staff can hold 20,000 charges, and requires 2 soul runes and 5 chaos runes for each charge.
          • The max hit of the built in-staff is as follows: max = (magicLvl/3) + 1, where the magic level is the current boosted magic level.
        • The staff also has 2 passive effects.
          • The first passive effect triples the player’s magic attack bonus while the staff is equipped.
          • The second passive effect triples the player’s magic damage % increase.
            • This effect is capped at 100% Magic strength.
          • The values increase from 3x to 4x in a Tombs of Amascut raid.
        • Unlike most staff’s with built-in spells, the attack speed is 5 ticks (3 seconds), rather than 4(2.4 seconds) ticks.
  • Corporeal Beast Changes:
    • The Dark Core has been properly added to Corporeal beast.
      • Monday’s update released the unfinished dark core, which (while unintended) may have given players an idea that this change was arriving soon.
    • Corporeal beast has a 1/8 chance of spawning a dark core after being hit at least 32 damage, or after attacking if it has 1000 hit points or less.
      • There can only be one dark core active at any given time.
    • Mechanics:
      • The dark core will drain 5-13 hit points from all players within 1 tile of it (3x3 area), and heal corporeal beast for half of the damage it drained from players.
        • If there are no players within the attack area, it will jump to the northernmost player.
        • If the Dark core is poisoned, it will attack far less frequently.
  • Quality of Life:
    • Using a single noted item on a bank will now un-note it, rather than prompt the user to input an amount.
    • Players will now always receive a unique dark totem piece if they don't already have all 3 pieces.
    • Players will now be notified how many hours/minutes they have left before the Daily login system resets back to day 1 when it is the 14th day.
    • The fish in a player's fish sack barrel will now be depositing when it is banked while equipped (even when using inventory setups to auto-deposit items).
    • The Jar of Darkness now has a base drop rate of 1/162.
    • The Alora hitpoint overlay box will no longer appear on the Runelite client (this is handled by the Opponent info plugin).
    • Increased the value of the ancient godsword to 200m.
    • Vorkath now also has an extended render distance of 24 tiles.
    • The TOB hitpoint bar interface will now show a percentage, the actual hitpoints of the current boss, or both, depending on the configurations set in the opponent info plugin.
  • Bug Fixes:
    • Fixed a bug where players couldn't pickpocket guards with the trick-or-treat option.
    • Olm's standard attacks will no longer inflict poison.
    • Fixed a bug where players could not speak to an npc to complete a clue step if they had the trick or treat option.
    • Fixed a bug where the crystal halberd special attack was still giving the player too much registered damage on an npc.
    • Fixed a bug where the loot beams would sometimes now be added to the correct plane.
    • Forthos dungeon temple spiders are no longer poisonous.
    • Fixed a bug where the vorkath instances were not working properly.
    • Fixed a bug where the rune pouch was showing the incorrect runes.
    • The helm of Raedwald can now be logged with The Collector.
    • The keris partisans are now one-handed weapons.
    • Party Pete and other Clue scroll related NPCs that were involved with the Halloween event can now be interacted with to complete clue steps.

@Satan Spawn All holiday items (should) go straight to the Lost items manager in Edgeville, so you could get them back should you lose them. This is 100% the case for most items, including the ones from this Halloween event, but if this is not the case for a specific holiday item, let us know and we can fix it.
