Unfortunately, Castle Wars is already a dead minigame upon release.  Here are some ideas to make it more active, to offer more incentive for players, and to make it less buggy:

 

1. The Blessing of the Gods needs to be reworked.  Currently, players receive 20% bxp for 20, 15, or 10 minutes depending on whether the team won, tied, or lost.
   1. I propose that instead of receiving this boost right after the match ends, players should receive a “bxp ticket” which they can use whenever they want.
   2. Green ticket = 20 minutes of bxp Yellow Ticket = 15 minutes of bxp Red Ticket = 10 minutes of bxp
   3. Have these tickets be untradeable for all gamemodes. This will encourage players to actually play the minigame, rather than buy the tickets from other players.
   4. Blessing of the God timer should be added to the in-game displays, similar to the Well of Goodwill and Vote Book Timer.   https://gyazo.com/58...68d7941d405d502
       
2. Fix healing bandages- In OSRS you can spam click bandages and gulp an entire inventory within 1-2 seconds.
    
3. Allow players to join a game in progress.  I’m not sure what the cut-off is in OSRS, but players are for sure able to join.

Hmm i can’t Really see the true value of this, since u Can just search for an item. I would much rather have dan adding a buy offer feature, that would allow us to leave an offer for an item. And also make it that you Can pay with plat tokens too, that Way you Can actually sell tbows, scythes and other worth more than max cash on the tp.

I've been gone for a couple months now, but I've never made an official farewell thread since I thought I'd be back. I think it's time I say goodbye to my good friends of Alora for the meantime. I've had a blast playing, and I'd like to thank the entire community and staff for making my experience that much more enjoyable! A special thanks to #ICE for the family I've met along the way, and a special thanks to my GIM group DreamTeam. My apologies to my GIM group, I am truly sorry. 

 

I've gotten married, my wife is pregnant, and I took a job which requires me to travel every single week. I barely get sleep or time to myself so I don't think I'll be able to dedicate any time to Alora for a while.

So how does someone accidently manage to bot? A bot would require you to use a client and actually set it up. You're implying "people accidently botting" that someone is using it as an excuse for to intentional botting. Those players deserved to be banned.

I have a Razer Anansi keyboard with macro keys on it, it would be extremely common to miss press buttons that would activate a macro bound to my macro key. I have Razer Synapse installed which has a macro recorder and the ability to reprogram my keys.

If someone would use an actual bot script, it would require much more time to set it up and is totally used for intentional purposes. A single miss press on my keyboard that would activate a macro is a huge difference IMO. It's accidently pressed and far from intentional.

Also turning it immediately off would clarify that someone has no intention to bot or auto anything.

The rule is stated pretty clearly, the use of autoclickers is prohibited. The responsibility doesn't fall on us to make sure you don't "accidentally" autoclick. It's on you to follow the rules and if you don't, you receive the respective punishment. It doesn't matter who you are, everyone has to follow the rules.

So, the basic idea is that each clanchat would have its own respective kc; for each monster killed by a specific clan's member, that clan would gain a killcount.

 

im still trying to figure out the fine lines inbetween everything as well, so if people want to build on, or speculate on this topic, id be more than willing to consider

Say for example, for each different boss (npc) there would be a specific number of bosses spawned

 

Example: 100x Zulrah spawned

 

Killcount:

Ice: 14

Alora: 18

Dynasty: 68 #Dynasty

 

After the last zulrah is killed, then an announcement - yellow text in pm area - would announce the kc leader of the event

Hi all,

I thought I'd make a quick post noting a few observations of what I've enjoyed and what I think could be worked on from the perspective of a new player on a low exp account.

Positive Features:
Increased harvesting for Fishing and Woodcutting really improve the pace of the server. Seems like thieving NPCs may have a higher success rate as well which I really appreciate.

On Realism mode I feel like you've done a great job on handling what items are and are not available from shops.

The server is generally well polished with minimal bugs.

Blast Furnace works! Smithing is my favourite skill so this makes me rather happy :)

The Alora team hold excellent events. Both this Realism tournament and KOTS have been a real thrill so far.

Staff have always been very present and communicative when I've had questions.


As for issues that I've encountered, there's only really one that I'd like to raise. You're probably aware of it anyway:
The lack of alternate options during the early levels of Agility and Hunter make it feel like much more of a grind than it needs to - especially on a low experience game mode. I'd really like to see a few extra Roof Top Courses and additional Hunter options (even just an extra type of bird like tropical wagtails would help a lot).

Defensive casting has already been suggested and accepted, just has not been implemented into the game yet.

Happy Tuesday, folks! After a while, I'm finally back with another video!

 

In this video, I will talk about my progress so far on my ultimate ironman account, as well as my plans for future Realism content. My goal is to max my UIM account, and eventually getting comp.

Hi! First off, im glad this can bring back some nostalgia for you like it does a bunch of us. Don't hesitate to join the "Alora" cc and ask any questions you may have there, myself and other staff members hang out in that cc to answer questions or even just chat.

 

1. Many NPC's are not coded because they provide nothing for Alora. Everything you can want is in Edgeville which you can access at anytime by typing, ;;home or clicking the home teleport in the spell book. There is an Alora tutor NPC who hangs out just north of the bank usually. 

 

2. We do not have a map coded on here. The best way to use a map is to open a tab in your internet broswer and go to this link. 

 

3. You cannot change your game mode after account creation. You will have to make another account and choose classic from there. NOTE: you can use the same email address for as many accounts as you want.

 

4. Be default all skills are unlocked and everything is useable. If you would like to become a donor you can do so by going to the store at the top of the page or typing, ;;store in game. Donating $10 is our minimum donor amount. There are many tiers of donor and they each have their own benefits. All donors can access the donor zone as well as the donor zone 2. You can see media of the donor zones as well as the perks HERE.

 

Dont hesitate to PM any off the staff members for help. Doing ;;staff in game will give you a list of who is online and you can PM them.
