#491679 Update Jewelry Crafting

What is your suggestion?:

1. Update the crafting jewelry interface to the one that OSRS uses.

2. Make it so when you click "Smelt" on a furnace, if you don't have required ores for any time of bar, and you do have at least one jewelry mould, it opens up the jewelry crafting interface rather than the bar making interface.

How would this benefit Alora?:

Simple QOL that is easy to implement:
1. Gives a craft "All" option

3. Interface looks more modern like all of the other skilling interfaces used

2. Able to one click furnace rather than use bar on furnace

Gonna have so many custom rainbow things, we're gonna continue to say why not to random custom items in the future.

Not something we should encourage supporting or we are gonna stray sway from the non custom server alora is.

No support. Not a fan of adding supplies to vote shop so ironmen can skip grinds. It doesn't take long to obtain bulk soul/chaos runes IMO with methods such as Barrows, Scar Essence Mine and Baba Yaga.

What is your suggestion?:

Allow us to compare all game modes collection logs in highscores.

 

 

How would this benefit Alora?:

The players who even care about collection log highscores want to know where they rank in their grind, right now you can only compare yourself to your game mode, but it would be neat to see how you place server wide. By adding a 'view all' option on this drop down menu we could see all players clogging.

Tbf I don't know how this would effecting 'viewing all' for skills highscores, or if it's even possible to compare all skills highscores, this suggestion is specific to the collection log comparison.

My Problem with Alora Staff - Part 1

Here's how staff used to respond when people questioned why GIMs were buying/selling bank on Forums

To add context to these two infractions:

Infraction 1 - You received a warning in a thread about selling GIM items, where your reply had nothing to do with buying/selling/negotiating with the author. The rule you broke was listed in your warning as seen in the image.

 

Infraction 2 - You received a warning in your recent GIM suggestion thread, where one of your replies was flame baiting To Gain for some weird reason and relating it to that nex penguin situation that happened a while back.

 

I'm not sure how you're trying to connect these two warnings together to be honest, I'm confused.

 

 

 

They penalize me for baiting and flaming, when in reality, they're the one's doing it.

Here's an example of global moderator Logan liking the flame/bait, instead of actually doing his job and removing it.  The comments have nothing to do with the game suggestion regarding buying/selling ironman banks.  I reported the comments days ago and nothing was done.  They all ignored it until I left this comment, which promptly got deleted.

I had to get a warning -> show proof of staff bias -> get my proof deleted -> just to get the flame bait/hate directed towards me removed.

 

I'll come out and say this was not handled well at all. We're discussing it/discussed it and I hope it doesn't happen again. Not much to add here. Apologies from the staff team.

 

 

 

On my other posts, you have people deliberately copy and pasting "no support" comments and none of them get removed even when I report them

Why?  - They're ex-staff or friends of Logan/Not Shadow - Or maybe they just share Logan/Not Shadow's point of view - who knows?  - either way, someone isn't doing their moderating job very well

 

How is it that staff will remove off-topic comments on a Trading GIM bank post, but not hate/flame bait comments on a Trading GIM bank suggestion? 

 

I don't see the issue here. Sure, they're copy pasting a response, but it doesn't break any rules. We're not going to start punishing people because their replies are the same/similar(you might see a lot of those in introduction threads).

 

To conclude, here's a little insight.

 

Between the time you got post restricted and until a few days ago, about a year give or take, we probably punished a handful of players on forums for stuff such as spamming. 

In the past few days, literally every report has come from your threads.

Perhaps some self reflection is due. Every time there's some "drama"(if that's what you want to call it) you're always at the centre of it. First with that realism suggestion thread, then that nex penguin drama, and now this. 

 

I also find it ironic how you mentioned that "someone isn't doing their moderating job very well" in regards to removing those copy pasted replies, when you were spamming bug reports in the suggestion section literal days ago and told us to fuck off when we asked you to post them in the bug report section.

 

Once again, sorry for not removing those flame bait replies sooner. We'll jump to action much quicker next time.

 

I find it cringe that it's 2AM and I'm writing essays. Everyone just needs to grow up tbh.

How would this benefit Alora?:

Bigger clans, Better Pizza, Papa Johns. 

 

 

I have risen from my alora slumber to once again, complain. As the leader of the most successful clan in Alora currently we constantly struggle with the friends list cap. If we allow our members to have 2-3 alts in cc we only need 120-150 active players to max out the friends list where nobody else can then join. As a bonus if we attempt to add new people with this cap it randomly deletes members from the CC causing chaos. 

 

We have over 250 active members but many don't even play alora because they feel that casually playing alora once in a while would cause our more active members to not have a slot in the CC friends list so many don't log in at all anymore so the regulars and higher-ups don't get burdened by the casuals.

 

This makes no sense, it creates unnecessary work for clan organizers taking away time that could be used for planning and executing events or anything else that would make alora more enjoyable. 

 

Please increase this friends list cap so our members can have alts in the cc, our higher-ups don't have to have daily chores to remove/add accounts cuz our hcim keep dying.

What is your suggestion?: Buffing the lucky penny by adding 5% chance to save charges for each donor rank starting from uber and having it work with the blood fury, if 5% would be too overpowered I think 2.5% per rank would be great aswell.

Updated with some bug fixes:

  • Fixes [2/2/24]:
    • Fixed a bug where NPCs would stop spawning in instances at some point.
    • Players will now automatically stop mining the salt at Duke sucellus after 3 minutes.
    • Players can no longer get the rock golem pet from mining the salt at Duke Sucellus.
    • Awakener’s orbs will no longer announce over yell.
    • Prifddinas/Gauntlet entrance requirement has been reverted to 9 quest points rather than 12.
    • Fixed a bug where the Desert Treasure II pets would attack their owners due to not being fed enough after being placed in the player’s POH.
    • Players can no longer place a cannon at Zalcano.
    • The trading post plugin now correctly tracks trading post offers/sale progress.
    • Fixed a bug where players could have two 117HD plugins on Runelite, causing neither to work.
    • Vardorvis will now only use his axe attack after the previous axe attack is completely finished.
    • Vardorvis’ axes will now slow down to walking speed for their very last movement before respawning.
    • The timing of when Vardorvis’ axes check if they hit the player has been slightly tweaked.
    • Vardorvis' head gaze attack will no longer spawn a head under the player.
    • Players will no longer receive duplicate tablets from DT2 bosses if they've already unlocked the teleport on the Ring of shadows.
