as someone who really likes to skill (especially on this server haha), a few suggestion crossed my mind. 

I am not sure if those were suggested before; bare with me, I am relatively new to this community.

 

(1) XP Counter

 

Rework the XP Counter so it functions/behaves as it does in OSRS. -> customizable font size, focus on one skill, progress bar, color etc.

 

(2) Ranks on one's profile on Hiscore

 

This would make skilling a little more "rewarding". That is if you care about ranks. Imagine going for 200m runecrafting and knowing, that you are under the

first 30 People to do so. And everyone who looks up your hiscore page can see it on YOUR hiscore page.

You can't play an RNG game and blame the "rate", you are never guaranteed the item within the drop rate. There are CRAZY DRY RNG streaks on OSRS, and we have better rates than OSRS. Dry streaks can happen and its normal, Omicron has buffed rates enough in the past imo.

It feels like it was just yesterday that I was posting about reaching 6 months as an admin/event manager for Alora. And now here we are, 6 months later for the official 1 year date. Time really flies during the corona quarantine, hope everyone has been safe & unaffected by it. I guess first of all I would just like to thank the boys @Omicron & @Lowkey for never giving up on me in the beginning, as if they did I would have never reached this far with Alora.

I'm not going to sit here and make you guys read the same speech from last time so, I LOVE THE COMMUNITY, I'm happy to be hosting events, and I'm very happy to be here for all the POG content Dan releases like Leagues. I've been blessed to be more then just your event manager, Dan has given me some responsibilities in advertising and I'm grateful for that. Another cool fun fact, I've hosted over 200 tournaments in that year!



Anyway brothers and sisters, I'm not going to tag everyone as the people who are close to me & who've helped me along the way, know who they are. I'm very blessed to be where I'm at, and I'm very grateful for the community that's always supporting me at the events.

Reduce the cost to make planks please!

15k for each mahogany plank is a little steep! 

What is your suggestion?: I have recently been doing a fair bit of TOB. I know general drop rate for TOB is 1/9*#players, but it would be nice if we could get the chance for each item. I have been told all items are the same rarity except for sycthe but would love a confirmation. Also pet rate and dust rate is not really known. Getting this info for CoX would also be nice.

 

Is this in OSRS?: Yes. Drop rate mechanics have already been released years ago. 

 

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: Not that I know of.

 

How would this benefit Alora?: Knowledge is always useful. 

 

Alora League Information

 

Hello everyone,

 
The first Alora Leagues event will go live very soon! On December 1st at 7pm Eastern Time, starting on fresh accounts that are locked to Zeah, you'll be able to complete tasks and collect points. The players who have accumulated the most points by the end of the tournament will be awarded with some juicy prizes, including a PlayStation 5 for the top prize! There are also many other token prizes that can be won for the first players to accomplish certain tasks, such as obtaining Ranger boots. At the end of the tournament, players can spend their points on new, unique items from the Leagues reward shop.
 
Start date: December 1st, 7pm EST (Midnight server time)
 
End date: December 31st, 7pm EST (Midnight server time)

 

How does it work?
On December 1st, you'll be able to create a fresh account to participate in Leagues. This account will be wiped on December 31st and no items can be transferred off of it to a normal account, due to the increased drop rates on this game mode. Certain areas will be instanced, such as the Kourend Catacombs, to allow players to have a bit more space to train and compete. We are also instancing bosses such as Sarachnis to prevent overcrowding. While donator ranks do apply on these accounts, due to the account being locked at the end of the tournament, you will need to put in a request to transfer the total spent back to one of your main Alora accounts.

Congratulations to everyone!

Hello Alorians! September 12, 2019: I embarked on a journey as an Ultimate Ironman named 'UIM Agility'. I achieved 99 Agility as my first milestone as my name would suggest, and I let the account sit while I trained GIM with some friends. Those accounts fell through, and my UIM became my main. I started off grinding not really knowing where I would end up, never thinking I would achieve all the things I have so far. 1600 hours, and lots of sweat later: here we are. 

I want to start off by thank some HUGE gamers for all of their support along the way: (forgive me I don't know how to tag people properly but I hope you all see this): Mack, Morgen, Shazadeh, GP, Sparkles, Azzahlaw, Aries, Moe, Omi, Lowkey, Sofa.

 

Along with the people I've already listed, I've made some good friends in my time on Alora: Planker, Zejx, Luna, Planker, Queen, NL, YeetMcSkeet, King Daz, and so many others. 

 

I was apart of Immortal Dynasty, I left and joined a new clan called Aftermath, I seem to have mastered the UIM game mode. I've achieved some incredible things without using a bank along the way. From the dragon hunter lance, to full ancestral. I had easy grinds (here's looking at you Alchemical Hydra), and some long ones (shoutout to Kraken for the time spent). I've spent over 250 hours in the Chambers of Xeric in search of a Twisted Bow so solidify my legacy to no avail. I started streaming in February of 2019, had some insane support in doing so on both YouTube and Mixer (RIP my superior platform). I've had an insane amount of fun sharing my grinds and my joys with you all, and I know most of you feel the same way. 

 

I'll share some of my collection logs with you guys as well. Unfortunately, I don't have many early game screenshots or any sort of progress. But I wanted to share some thoughts and achievements with you all in light of it being almost 1 year since I made my account.

Ban the n word , of all variants off alora , adding a filter to hide this isnt solving the issue , its just hiding it , this will also benefit alora yell due to the amount of yells regarding racism

Make the use of race ralated words mutable/bannable.

Yeah, you get muted easily for it.

 

Has this suggestion been accepted already?:

No, it's allowed to use words like nigger, nigga, etc

it's allowed by staff

 

Also can't use them in your name.

 

How would this benefit Alora?:

Racism free game. Also stops all of the discussions in game and has no reason at all to be used in Alora.
