One of few reasons why this server is not growing but degrading and peoples join other servers )

Tob:

tob-2.png

tob-3.png

tob-4.png

Cox:
cox1.png

cox-2.png

cox-3.png
cox-4.png

Now, count this in hours.
Cox run from 20 to 40 mins (before update and now, solos and team) = Total cox / 1186 = from 23.720 minutes (395 hours) to 47.440 minutes (790 hours).
Tob run from 18 mins to 25 mins (before update and now, team runs 3-5 man) = Total tob / 901 = from 16.218 minutes (270 hours) to 22525 minutes (375 hours)
In total from: 665 hours to 1165 hours. (from 24 days 24/7) to (48 days 24/7) Just to get scythe/tbow drops. (I know some peoples most of them actually are higher than "legendary rank" gets early tbow and scythe or peoples with 300 kc gets 3 tbows drops but thats one in a million.)

Who even wants to grind from 665 hours to 1165 hours to get scythe/tbow drop on rsps. Thats one of few reasons why peoples leaving. And as i remember there was 2 fixes for tob drops. I quess fake fixes again )

I find it funny how you think the drop rates on the server are trash but will continue to do the raids hoping for the big ticket item. Raids drop rates are fine, it is a thing called RNG I personally am over 1300 KC without a Twisted Bow and it took me over 700KC to get a Scythe of Vitur. Raids are meant to be a END GAME thing with END GAME rewards. You say "oh the server is dying because of drop rates". the simple answer to that is NO. Drop rates are not causing the fluctuation in our player count recently as this has been something that has been brought up multiple times and has never had a impact on the server losing players.

PS. I am a master donator without Twisted Bow in the log and I know multiple Master donors+ without T Bow or Scythe (Elite Yin) for instance went almost 1,000 TOB run's dry from a scythe and he never once complained about the drop rate being "Shit". The accusation you make about "Fake fixes again" is just a accusation because you do not know if it is true. If you look back through the update threads you can notice Omicron has looked into it multiple times and fixed it multiple times to where it is not over powered but not to easy to guess. This is just my 2 cents but from what it looks like you are simply complaining because you have not received one of the big ticket items and want the rates to be lowered so you can get one of the items then complain when to many of the items are coming into the game.

I disagree with what you're saying here man, I've seen this conversation so many times in the past and as @Classic said its a end game grind, you should have to do a bunch of raids, cox and tob, for a end game item with the value they bring. I've watched tbow's come in at 1 kc and I've seen 1k + kc for them its all RNG.

So going 250+ tob dry is fixed rates @Classic ?

Also RNG is just idea to explain drop system but the point is that most of peoples are going dry af so saying like bad rng or bad luck is not right coz when 90% gets high value items on high kc and some gets high value items on low kc is more like to be system.

For example : Player Lifes Unfair leaved after 250 dry tob (after fixed rates btw, and fixed second time )

Or example: When peoples goes like 2-3k dry for trident (is this end of the game?) its more like 5x+ over drop rate

@dau ztas  Saying rng isn't a point isn't true, what about people who grind Cerberus  for thousands of kills for boots? are you saying Cerberus drop rate is broken too? or is it strictly only saying that going dry for an end game item is broke?

Cerberus takes 1 minute to kill if you killing it with iron scimi . Tob and cox takes from 18 to 40 , its not end of game ,its end of hairs on my head and waste of time more than balanced drop rates

And yeah. viskasg3rai got primordials at 3.5k kc thats normal ofc? Have you killed anything in osrs to get item in 3.5k kc?

Playing osrs from 2003 havent seen so balanced drop rates to go for primordials 3.5k kills

@dau ztas  whats the difference then? same thing with corp beast, everything takes time but you cant go crying that rates are broken for going dry. no matter how long it takes compared to something else.

I’m inclined to agree with @Classic on this. It’s as simple as RNG. You either get hella lucky or you have to grind it out. I’m 900 solo CoX without a tbow across my accounts with Uber. It is what it is unfortunately. Just makes that drop when it comes just a much better feeling.

Ok look, ely is 1/4.095 kc (by wiki.)

Tbow is like 1/500 - 1/600 something.

Have you ever in rs history seen dude who went 3x kc corp for ely (12k+ kills?)

And

Have you seen someone gets 3x drop rate for tbow? Vespina as example on 1400 kc+ cox got first bow

I mean alora rates are even worse than osrs which i dont understand because its rsps vs global

at the end of the day the game is just a giant random number generator you either hit the number or dont. its as simple as that

if it takes 3k rolls then it does, if it takes 1 roll then cool.

By this logic, what do you take away from people that get tbows on kc 1? Is that deserved because they got it before the drop rate? No. Some people go dry and some people don't, you can't just take a few screen shots of peoples raids luck and say "yep there it is, the numbers are fucked. I knew it." There is a lot more info to consider.

This honestly just reads like "wah wah i want my drop. why haven't i gotten my drop yet. omi, fix the rates because i haven't gotten my items yet."

Tbh, I've played many servers and if the drop rates were higher, you'd have more people getting the drops faster and just getting bored and quitting. You haven't gotten a drop and have stayed on the server for awhile trying, so it's doing it's job obviously. :P

So here is a few examples of dry streaks from OSRS for comparison:

- 217 Barrows Chests without ANY item.

- 17.000 Cerberus kills without Hellpuppy pet.

- 50.000 Imp kills without the Imp Champion Scroll.

- 23.456 Kraken kills without the Kraken Pet.

- 9.946 Basilisk Knights for the Basilisk Jaw

- Synq is like 208 Purples dry for the Olmlet.

Just because a few people are unlucky at certain places don't necessarily mean it requires a rework. Also, I'm not sure how the time it takes to complete raids etc is a factor in this since you would expect end game content to require more time invested. I myself am dry for both the pet and the dust in ToB but I've gotten lucky a few other places.

In the end it depends on RNG. You can be Eternal and go 40 dry at CoX or you could be non-donator and get a B2B.

Hi,

So i felt the need to chime in on this bc I'm currently 8,000 kills dry a DWH (since were talking drop rates) and I've had many people come in and just get a DWH right from under me and I'm still stuck grinding this day in day out (no different than Cox/Tob) it takes time man, RNG is RNG we all know it blows and yeah some are lucky, but as stated above you gotta just suck it up and keep pushing forward and that day will come and you will get that drop you wanted for so long and all this would have meant nothing.

Agreed @Classic 100%

@Kaamea has gone 14,000 dry this DWH so who am i to complain about the rates? You kno?

You got this just keep a positive mindset about it, game is meant to be enjoyed

The rates are fine.

c7318cb80ca4fd0498c478083a79e4c1.png   missing 4 tbows , 10ish scrolls , 5 ancest sets , 3 kodai's , a few claws and a few dhcb's (pre collection log)

8d1ab893e624d26d8106b3979eafe3ea.png  here im missing 9 hilts , 2-3 complete justi sets , 4 rapiers , 3 sangs (pre collection log).

so the rates arent messed up, you just have bad rng...

Lol im mad the immortal really said the rates are fine with 17% Drop rate boost & 7 Max raid item for bonus rolls , Donor rank plays a big part that can’t be denied . @To gain

Otherwise I also think rates are fine but alot better with donor ranks , I guess the solution is grind and go after custom donations as you go to make yourself a better candidate for getting these big ticket items.

You can't play an RNG game and blame the "rate", you are never guaranteed the item within the drop rate. There are CRAZY DRY RNG streaks on OSRS, and we have better rates than OSRS. Dry streaks can happen and its normal, Omicron has buffed rates enough in the past imo.

To be honest, I can see both sides of the argument. When I started Alora, I went 172 raids dry on Iron Alan (super donor). Never even got a prayer scroll.
I joined team after team, learned the mechanics, and planked far less than my teammates, but still... never lucky.

63f2a4a3d15a71c0b800f0ff68597ec1.png

Meanwhile on Real Alan, I've gotten 2 twisted bows in 518 kc, but don't jump to any conclusions yet... let me break it down for you first.

Just like on iron, I also started off dry as fuck. I went my first 140 kc on Real Alan completely dry (with reg/super donor).
Meanwhile, my higher ranked teammates like Realism mode and R M got multiple bows within a weeks time.
Luckily for me, one of my teammates helped me to uber. With the extra rolls, drops started to roll in regularly.
I switched from group raids to solos (and occasionally duos). I used boosters and raided on 1.2x cox bonus as much as I could.
Both twisted bows of mine were on bonus with booster. One from solo (before rework) and one from duo (after rework).
For a detailed loot break down, check out topic 69340
bb7d40a6061adf68447fd893abe9fc40.png

So... what's my point? The Cox drop rate is 100% RNG, but it's absolutely not as simple as 1/x.
You need to factor in team members, donor rank, rolls, drop boosters, raid boosters/points, and cox bonus.
My honest feedback is.. If you want players to be willing to invest their time into raids, the payout needs to be clear. Telling them it's just RNG is not enough.
There should be a clear breakdown of drop rates. For that reason, I agree with @dau ztas
The current system discourages a lot of players from raiding and enjoying Alora to its fullest, especially low/non donors doing group raids.
Yes, it does bring in revenue for the server through rank upgrades, but at what cost?

Currently, if you're a normie just trying out the server, you're better off camping at revenants for gp to buy a prayer scroll than actually doing raids yourself.
The time investment of cox versus payout is just absolutely terrible.
