This month we have some great interviews from Charizard & Fire. Enjoy the read!

 

H: Who do you most admire in life?

Charizard: Growing up I always admired celebrities and superheroes. As I’ve grown older I’ve come to admire the adults who’ve raised and supported me in life. My father for helping and teaching me to do good business. My mother for showing me how to be kind.

 

H: What is a skill you'd like to learn and why?

Charizard: I’ve never learned how to play an instrument and piano is something that I’ve always wanted to play. It’s the most chaotic or relaxing instrument, and I will eventually learn how to play even basic songs.

 

H: If you could witness any event of the past, present, or future, what would it be?

Charizard: Would have to be something to do with music. Going back and seeing Queen in concert is something I’ve always said I would do if I had the opportunity.

 

H: Tell us a little about your journey to secure 1st place in the Alora Leagues tournament.

Charizard: Playing Alora leagues was the most fun I’ve had playing a game in 10 years. I’m not one to grind anything video game like anymore but seeing my points go up gave me a reason to keep going. I had intended on stopping at T7, but I was having so much fun doing everything I couldn’t stop. I took no longer than 12 hours without at least playing 1-3 hours after each break. I’ll miss playing leagues, but I am glad it’s over. I’ll need a nice break from grinding like that again.

 

H: What are your plans for 2024, both in real life and on Alora?

Charizard: I’ve recently started a new GIM on alora with some irl friends, I’ll likely be playing that from here on out as it’s something new and gives a nice challenge compared to my maxed gim. In life I don’t have any major plans. Just enjoying my family and friends when I can. Always aiming to be a better person/husband/father for my wife and kid.

H: Who do you most admire in life?

Fire: I most admire my fiance in life, when life gets hard and is all over the place she's always my constant.

 

H: What is a skill you'd like to learn and why?

Fire: I'd really like to learn drifting, It is very theraputic to watch and I feel like i'd enjoy it and be at home behind the wheel while sideways.

 

H: If you could witness any event of the past, present, or future, what would it be?

Fire: I would like to witness the first interaction publicly known with aliens or life from another planet. (as long as its a peaceful meetup)

 

H: What update would you like to personally see happen?

Fire: I WOULD LOVE to see some custom bosses added with new weapons and armor, nothing wild like AK-47's like other servers have, just reskins with same stats for current weapons, give us anime katanas, new glowing maces, flaming swords, etc. Not saying new power caps but like matches for a fang/rapier that can be achieved without needing a 4 man tob party. :BONUS: please add more boss pets for everyday things, give us a slayer pet (make it like 1/50k from any slayer monster and 1/200k for a transmog crystal or something), a barrows pet.

 

H: What are your plans for 2024, both in real life and on Alora?

Fire: I plan on working as much overtime as I can and saving for a house, in my spare time I would like to take as many motorcycle trips as I possibly can with my fiance and finally get married this summer. On alora I WANT TO FINALLY GET MY TBOW, 1115 KC DRY BAYBEEEEEEEE.

This month we have some great interviews from 99 & Escrow. Enjoy the read!

 

H: Is there a memory on Alora that you will never forget about?

99: When I was Admin I used to be up the latest from the rest of the team, so I asked Moe & Omi about me being a Event Manager to host events at night for the community. They weren't the most active but they were absolutely the most thankful. A lot of gamers who work/different timezones/whatever miss out on events. I loved doing them.

 

H: If there wasn't Alora, what game would you spend your free time playing?

99: Probably some more Helldivers o7. Or, of course, spend more time on OSRS. I have a hard time picking and choosing my grinds.

 

H: What are some of your long term targets on here?

99: Right now just focusing on my EIM. Going to try and completionist that and probably move into a HCIM again.

 

H: What keeps you motivated?

99: Never give up, never what?! Failure sucks. Been there a lot and I hate it so I refuse to expereince it again.

 

H: If you were given the chance to make your one wish come true, what would it be?

99: I just want the people around me to have what they deserve. I want my mom to be able to retire, my girlfriend to have everything she wants, my dad to no longer hurt. All of my friends to eat well and enjoy life.

H: Is there a memory on Alora that you will never forget about?

Escrow: A memory on Alora I would never forget. I feel like there isn't a specific memory. Just the overall gains, meeting new people, helping the community. Lots of memories created, but one doesn't really stand out.

 

H: If there wasn't Alora, what game would you spend your free time playing?

Escrow: Probably be no lifing some osrs or whatever games come across my feels for the day.

 

H: What are some of your long term targets on here?

Escrow: Long term targets was to get comp on GIM, but work flow and life flow with the slow rates kinda burnt me out. So looking to accomplish this target on Normie mode now, lol.

 

H: What keeps you motivated?

Escrow: The drive for a better life and continuing to grow my little family.

 

H: If you were given the chance to make your one wish come true, what would it be?

Escrow: Accomplishing 99 or 200M Patience. I think it's a great feature to have to accomplish a lot in life.

Hello everyone!

For the past few weeks we have been working hard at something that has been highly requested for many months, which is of course Leagues 3!

For those unfamiliar with the idea of Leagues, it's quite simple. You make a new account that is locked to the island of Kourend and your goal is to complete as many tasks as you can in 6 weeks. Achieving certain point milestones allows you to unlock Relics, which are overpowered boosts to your account.

For those that are familiar with leagues and maybe even played our previous version of Leagues over 2 years ago, we have made some changes. First of all, we have unlocked two extra regions. Karamja will be unlocked at Tier 3, and the Desert will be unlocked at Tier 5. Regarding relics, we have decided to take the best from the previous OSRS Leagues to make sure that you have to think hard before you make a permanent choice. 

Lastly, since this is a tournament, there will be some big prizes to reward the best of the best, both real-world and in-game. Points that you accumulate in the tournament can be spent on various cosmetics with the Leagues Tutor in Edgeville on the main game.

Now lets dive into some sneak peeks! 

Now a little look at some of the in-game rewards you can purchase, assuming you've acquired enough points during the league.

Alora Staff Team

 Founder is the owner of the server and its website. The founder has full power and is in charge of the server along with handling donation support tickets, donations and releasing updates.

 Community Manager's are responsible for the staff team. They are obligated to manage the staff team and deal with any staff related issues. It is the second most important role after the Founder.

 Advertisement Manager's primary responsibility is to handle Alora's public advertisement. They are responsible for Alora's social media handling, Youtubers, and off-site activities.

 Administrators are members of staff who have access to in-game and forums Admin Control Panels. They handle most support tickets (2FA resets & password resets, etc) that cannot be handled by Global Moderators. Administrators will assist players in complex situations & administrate the server/forums and help lower staff out.

 Event Managers are responsible for executing a variety of events every week. In doing so, they make sure that the events that they host are up to par in terms of creativity, fairness, player-contentment, and originality. Event Managers are members of staff who are focused on organizing the weekly events, tournaments etc. Their aim is to ensure that the community gets involved into the server activity.

Note that Event Manager can be a primary/secondary rank, meaning on some occasions they can assist in administrator/moderator situations as well.

 Global Moderators are members of staff who are focused on moderating both in-game and forums (Forum & Server moderator combined). Global Moderators have to handle appeals, player reports, monitor in-game/forums, forward any serious issues to Administrators and guide Server Moderators as they essentially are the right-hand of administrators.

 Forum Moderators are members of staff who are focused on moderating our forums. They have to ensure no forum rules are broken, monitor the content, issue warnings to any wrongdoers. They will primarily deal with forum related reports, however they essentially have some in-game powers, therefore you may see them assisting in-game too.

 Server Moderators are members of staff who only have power in-game. They aim to monitor the server, watch over the Support section frequently, give out in-game punishments, deal with appeals, player reports, in other words, keep the community clean and safe for everyone meanwhile helping out the players.

 Server Supports are the lowest ranks of staff. They barely have any power as their goal is to assist the community, answer questions in help clan chats, personal messages etc. Other duties include helping players with account recoveries, rank transfers and forum award requests.

 Veterans are members of Alora who have been around the community for a while. It is a respected rank and can be obtained after a list of requirements have been met.

Requirements

Your account must be at least 1 year old.

You must have 50 or more days play time in-game.

You must have 30 or more days online time on the forums.

You must have at least 250 post count on the forums.

You must have 0 indiscretions within the last 3 months.

You must provide proof that you meet ALL of the requirements.

If you apply without having met the requirements, your request will be declined.

In addition, those who currently hold the Veteran rank are held to the following standards:

You will not receive an infraction resulting in a ban/mute in-game or losing your ability to post on the forums.

You will represent Alora in a positive way at all times.

You will be respectful to other members of the community.

Failure to do so will result in your rank being removed.

If your rank is removed, you must wait 3 months before you're eligible to re-apply.

Other: 

Anyone who reaches Global Moderator are exempt from the normal application requirements and will be granted the Veteran rank upon promotion.

The Administration Team reserves the right to decline/remove the Veteran rank as they see fit.

Players may NOT combine any of the requirements between accounts. The account you wish to hold the Veteran Rank on must meet ALL of the requirements.

If any staff member meets all of the requirements but post count this may be overlooked, since anything staff-related on the forums does not grant post count. This is enforced through the Administration Team's discretion.

Ex-Staff are members of the community who are no longer apart of the staff team. This rank is obtainable for those that have reached the rank of Server Moderator or have been a Server Support for longer than a month. Staff members that were demoted from the staff team cannot be granted this rank.

 Youtubers are members of the community who provide server related media to the community. They get perks if they attain this rank, however they must provide content regularly and promote the server on YouTube.

Requirements

Applicants must have at least 50 subscribers, followers, etc.(Dependent on the platform used)

Applicants must have made 6 or more videos/streams for Alora.

Applicants must have been creating content for Alora for at least 2 weeks. This is to ensure videos aren't being added in quick succession just to obtain the rank.

The quality of the videos and/or streams must meet Moe's quality standards. Failure to do so will result in the application being denied or the rank being removed from those holding the rank currently.

In addition, those who currently hold the Youtuber rank are held to the following standards:

Members that hold the Youtuber rank are required to represent Alora positively all the time. Failure to comply with this rule will result in the rank being removed.

Content being made for Alora must not discuss or advertise other active Runescape Private Servers.

Content Creators are only allowed to advertise videos or streams every 5 minutes. This rule applies to the entirety of Alora.

Other:

The Youtuber rank acts as an Extreme Donator Rank.

If you currently hold a higher donator rank the higher rank will take precedence.

Unique forum award and Discord roles.

Access to the Content Creator channel in Discord to promote your content to the server.

Access the Content Creator Zone/Lounge in-game (::cz)

Graphic Designers are members of the community who provide artwork by posting it on forums. They mostly provide unofficial graphic design to the community. In order to apply for this rank, please contact an Official Graphic Designer. Graphic Designers also have a separate set of rules that they must follow here.

Requirements:

Active in the Graphics section.

You must have a post count of at least 15.

You must not have any infractions on the forums/in-game within the last 30 days.

You understand the basic Graphic Design Principles and Elements.

You're creative.

Ability to produce high quality pieces of work.

In addition, those that wish to apply for the Designer rank will benefit greatly if they can showcase the following: 

You study Graphics Design at university or college.

Have a few years of experience.

Have opened a GFX shop on Alora.

Study another form of art.

Have a portfolio that demonstrates your best works.

Have experience with multiple Adobe products: Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom etc.

Official Graphic Designers are members of the community who provide official artwork for the server. They design the homepage, unique headers or any other work requested by the Founder. They are in charge of regular graphic designers and are entitled to rank them when appropriate. Official Graphic Designers also have a separate set of rules that they must follow here.

Donators are members of the community that have contributed to the server by donating money or redeeming in-game bonds/rank tickets.

They have plenty of benefits after donating that can be found here: http://www.alora.io/store -> FAQ.

Eternal Donator's are players that have reached a total donated amount of at least $20,000.

Immortal Donator's are players that have reached a total donated amount of at least $10,000.

Master Donator's are players that have reached a total donated amount of at least $5,000.

Uber Donator's are players that have reached a total donated amount of at least $2,500.

Legendary Donator's are players that have reached a total donated amount of at least $750.

Extreme Donator's are players that have reached a total donated amount of at least $250.

Super Donator's are players that have reached a total donated amount of at least $50.

Donator's are players that have reached a total donated amount of at least $10.

H: If you could make any content of your own and implement it into Alora, What would it be?

Ryuu: I know literally every ironman wants a cooking NPC so I would go with that.

 

H: What is one piece of advice you'd give a new player to Alora?

Ryuu: As Alora is a server which is a near-perfect copy of OSRS, a new player would find everything they need to know on the OSRS Wiki - it's one of the best sources of information out there.

 

H: If you had to pick 1 skill on OSRS and remove it from the game to cause the MOST overall damage to the game/economy, which skill would you choose and why?

Ryuu: I believe removing Prayer from OSRS would cause the most damage. Most of PvM content requires you to use overhead prayers. Without overheads 90% of bosses would be nearly impossible and would have to be reworked completely.

 

H: What are your current goals (long term/short term or both) that you are currently working towards?

Ryuu: In-game I am slowly working towards finishing all of the Combat Achievements and greenlogging more Collection log slots.

 

H: If you were to go anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

Ryuu: I grew up in a small town in Estonia and never really been out of the country much. I would love to go visit big cities like New York, Miami, Tokyo, Shanghai, Paris and many others.

 

Next up is Gim Joseph

 

H: If you could make any content of your own and implement it into Alora, What would it be?

Gim Joseph: I would add in a new area to explore with new quest, and new bosses, Demi-bosses and a group boss which can’t be solo’d, the new region would bring content which would have content for low/mid/end game items. Also a new mini-game that wave tiered like inferno, but it’s like Dominion Tower, wave by wave face bosses head on to see how far you can get, with rewards like a T90 armour and weapons, higher grade skilling items like explosive pickaxe  which has the ability to crush the rock and receive 4-6 ores, slightly faster than crystal, a lumberjacks hatchet.

 

H: What is one piece of advice you'd give a new player to Alora?

Gim Joseph: Be the best player you can be, don’t give up and keep on grinding, if you need any help don’t be afraid to ask, there is always someone there to help you, be it a staff member or a normal player in the Alora CC.

 

H: If you had to pick 1 skill on OSRS and remove it from the game to cause the MOST overall damage to the game/economy, which skill would you choose and why?

Gim Joseph: would choose Herblore because pretty much everyone relies on potions, can you imagine the fear everyone would have as the potions started to run out, getting to the last ones, it would ruin farming, bosses, slayer, camping monsters like bandits, could you imagine people trying to do inferno/nex/tob/cox without potions ohh the chaos would be great.

 

H: What are your current goals (long term/short term or both) that you are currently working towards?

Gim Joseph: My current long term goal is to achieve a maxed GIM, as I’ve never played on an Ironman before so it’s all new to me, and I’m really enjoying it and learning to be self sufficient as much as I can with my Team, as I don’t want to let them down. Short term goal is reaching 99 slayer as it’s by far my fave skill to do apart from Herblore/construction.

 

H: If you were to go anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

Gim Joseph: Aotearoa or New Zealand as most people know it as, it’s one place I’ve always wanted to go to, I’m really fascinated with the Māori culture, and I’d love to spend time there learning all about it, and learning the language.
