What is your suggestion?:

The Collector NPC serves as a method for players to add items that they have previously obtained but are not in their collection logs to their collection logs. Currently, players are only able to add non-trabeable items to their collection logs via The Collector (presumably as a preventative measure so that players cannot buy items and add them to their collection logs). As a result, Ironmen are unable to add tradeable items that they've obtained to their logs and will have to spend hours upon hours to reobtain their items just for the log slot. Please change it so that ironmen and hardcore ironmen can add tradeable items to their logs via The Collector. I will include pictures at the bottom of this post.

Yesterday was my lucky day on Alora regarding pets.

 

I wanted to do something besides skilling which I have been enjoying over the past couple weeks. So now my goal is to  reach 200M in defence (145M), strenght (99m), range (194M) and slayer (112M).

 

I started the day by doing some Gaint Mole. I thought is was nice to recieve some nest for herblore while going for the pet. It is only 1 in 2k so i thought I had a fair change at it. +- 60 kills in that day I got it

 

 

Happy as I was I continued slayer and some time later I got a Vorkath task. At first I wanted to skip the task but thought why not and choose to kill three Vorkaths

On the first kill I also got the Vorki pet

 

 

 

Great day for me on Alora

 

 

 

 

The limiting factor here seems to be Blood runes. On Alora, our tridents don't even require runes, they only require scales, so that already negates the need for runes any runes on a mid-high tier PvM weapon. Not only that, but obtaining all of the runes (aside from blood/soul runes) is far faster on Alora than OSRS due to the unlimited instant teleports to altars around the game. It's also worth keeping in mind that with the Nex release coming soon, players will be able to obtain Blood essence from nex, allowing them to craft far more blood runes per hour. Also, like @Mochii mentioned, our stocks are generally far higher for blood runes on OSRS, and our restock rate is also far higher. The suggestion to have infinite runes in shops for ironmen/realism is declined, however we will add more rune shops, and perhaps also increase the restock rate.

Alora League 2.0 Information

Hello everyone,

It's that time of the year again, and we're excited to announce that we're hosting our 2nd Alora League in just a few days! This League will be very similar to the first one, although the in-game rewards will be entirely different. If you did not participate in the previous League, here's the rundown:

On December 27th at 7pm Eastern Time, starting on fresh accounts that are locked to Zeah, you'll be able to complete tasks and collect points. The players who have accumulated the most points by the end of the tournament will be awarded with some juicy prizes, including a PlayStation 5 for the top prize! There are also many other token prizes that can be won for the first players to accomplish certain tasks, such as obtaining Ranger boots. At the end of the tournament, players can spend their points on new, unique items from the Leagues reward shop.

Start date: December 27th, 7pm EST (Midnight server time)
End date: January 19th, 7pm EST (Midnight server time)

How does it work?
On December 27th, you'll be able to create a fresh account to participate in Leagues. This account will be wiped on January 19th and no items can be transferred off of it to a normal account, due to the increased drop rates on this game mode. Certain areas will be instanced, such as the Kourend Catacombs, to allow players to have a bit more space to train and compete. We are also instancing bosses such as Sarachnis to prevent overcrowding. While donator ranks do apply on these accounts, due to the account being locked at the end of the tournament, you will need to put in a request to transfer the total spent to one of your main Alora accounts.

Top Alora Token prizes:

• First Twisted bow: 1,000 tokens
• First to 200m exp in any skill: 1,000 tokens

• First to obtain a 3rd age piece: 750 tokens
• First to complete a Master difficulty task: 500 tokens
• First to obtain Ranger boots: 250 tokens
• First to complete a collection log entry: 250 tokens

Even if you don't receive one of the big cash prizes, there are plenty of reasons to play leagues! If you're feeling lucky, try your hand at a specific token prize, such as obtaining a Phoenix pet. You'll also have the ability to spend your points on many different in-game prizes at the end of the tournament, such as:

• Shattered Relic Hunter Outfit
• Shattered Relics Home Teleport Animation
• Shattered Relic Weapon Variety Pack
  • These weapon kits can be applied to Abyssal whip, Tentacle whip, Rune crossbow, God books, and Mystic robes.

• Void & Elite Void Ornament Kit

Notes:

• The rules and prizes are subject to change based on availability.
• If a cash prize is unavailable in your country, an equivalent prize or amount via PayPal may be substituted.
• Winners of cash prizes can choose to receive Alora tokens and can receive 50% more by doing so.

We'll have more information on the nitty gritty of this tournament on release day, but this thread should give you a basic outline of what's to come. We hope you guys are just as excited for the start of our second Alora League!

PKers already have it too easy with literal teleports right next to your targets and people in the wildy.

Removing one of the few mechanics people have to gap/log/evade a Pker seems unhealthy for the current balance of Alora scarse Wilderness action.

 

EDIT: Additionally, hits still go through even if you dont seem them yourself, so eventually the player running away is gonna run out of food, so its not something you can do forever to never die.
 

I can counter your first point and say that pvmers have it way too easy with a teleport to every boss in the game. Revenants are insanely op for ironmen to make insane money so I don't see how making it slightly more risky makes it "unhealthy".

 

As for your second point, myself and many others pk with a huge delay/lag so we don't have the opportunity to hit them everytime they go in and out.

Alora's usual 25% drop boost applied to the OSRS 1/400 drop rate gives a 1/300 base drop rate.

Gauntlet booster of 25% applied gives a rate of 1/225.

Eternal drop modifier of 19% stacked onto this yields 1/189.

 

Dunno if this is correct but it's how I've interpreted drop chance.

I think we should keep it for a few reasons (increases wildy activity, helps PKers find targets, etc). No support.
