#418932 [14/12/21] Christmas Sale & Total Spent Special, Salamanders, Gauntlet ch...

Posted by Mack on 14 December 2021 - 05:52 PM

@Mack @Sassa fras @Extremedanny

It's completely understandable that players want a method to obtain the ornament kits for the Slayer helmets in-game, and we will be adding a way to do that in the future as well. It likely won't be through Combat achievements though, due to the differences between Alora and OSRS. We have a few ideas for how to introduce them into the game, and we'll share that likely in the next full update.

It's more-so an early release for those who support Alora, especially as the game matures and players aren't donating for items as much anymore, so we have to find ways to rejuvenate the store in order to maintain the same level of updates, marketing and quality of the game. With that being said, we have opted for adding cosmetic items which don't tend to negatively affect players, rather than releasing end-game items into the store. For those who want to earn the items in-game, if you want them right away, they are tradable and can be purchased from another player or via buying bonds, or there will be a method to obtain them in-game without the store in the near future if you're willing to wait a bit for it.

@Real Alan
As for the discounts on items, since we're doing a total spent bonus this time around (for the first time) and store items already become cheaper because of the 25% bonus, we decided to not put individual discounts on items. That doesn't mean that discounts are not going to be there for future sales, we've just decided to provide a different bonus (total spent) this time around.

Hope that clears things up for you guys and gives you a better perspective on our though process behind the updates.

Understandably, changes have to be made to continue to make the server profitable. However, you're missing the point entirely. Money is not the issue at all, at least in my case. I could very easily purchase these with GP or USD, but that is not the point. The entire point of these items is exclusivity, achievement, and prestige. They are symbols of status, skill, and dedication to playing the game. That is completely taken away when anyone with $75-$100 can obtain them.  A brand-new account with 30 seconds of in-game time could obtain these items despite lacking the requirements to use them, a single boss kill count, or any combat XP. It's the equivalent of putting the gold-trimmed completionist monkey in the store for 1500 tokens. You can play the game and grind out 4.6B XP or just pay $150.

Even if a suitable method to obtain them in-game was added down the line, it doesn't matter because anyone with a credit card can have the same thing without putting in any effort. They've been completely devalued by placing a price tag on them.

Hello everyone,

We hope you're enjoying your holidays thus far! We're back with another update before Christmas, and while we're still awaiting the release of OSRS's Christmas event, we've got some cool updates to share in the meantime as well as a refresher to our Store, and the start of our Christmas Sale!

We've made some much-needed Gauntlet changes such as adding the Escape Crystal and ability to create Crystal paddlefish, added Salamander functionality as well as tar making, added new Monkey cape variants for the top 3 donator ranks, and a few other cool updates such as the Bake pie spell and resetting Raid time records for a clean slate.

      • There are 4 types of lizards/salamanders:
        • Swamp Lizard:
          • This lizard requires level 30 Attack, Range, and Magic to wield.
          • Every attack done with this weapon will consume 1 Guam Tar (must be equipped in the ammunition slot).
          • Players can catch Swamp Lizards with net traps at level 29 Hunter.
          • The Swamp Lizard has a chance to inflict poison on the target, starting at 6 damage.
        • Orange Salamander:

          • Players can catch Red Salamanders with net traps at level 59 Hunter.
        • Black Salamander:
          • This Salamander requires level 70 Attack, Range, and Magic to wield.
          • Every attack done with this weapon will consume 1 Harralander Tar (must be equipped in the ammunition slot).
          • Players can catch Black Salamanders with net traps at level 67 Hunter.
      • The salamanders/lizards have 3 attack styles:
        • Melee:
          • This attack style gives melee experience equivalent 4 x damage.
        • Range:
          • This attack style is 1 tick faster than melee/magic (4 ticks, rather than 5), and gives range experience equivalent to 4 x damage.
        • Magic:
          • This attack style gives magic experience equivalent to 2 x damage.
    • The Damage dealt for the Melee style will be calculated similar to other melee weapons, based on the strength level and strength bonus of the player.
    • The Damage dealt for the Range attack style will be calculated similar to other range weapons, based on the range level and ranged strength of the player.
      • The tars give the following ranged strength bonus:
        • Guam Tar: 16 Ranged Strength
        • Marrentill Tar: 22 Ranged Strength
        • Tarromin Tar: 31 Ranged Strength
        • Harralander Tar: 49 Ranged Strength
    • The Damage dealt for the Magic attack style will be calculated using the following formula:
      • MaxDamage = floor(0.5 + MagicLevel*(64 + Bonus)/640
        • The Bonus for each salamander/lizard is as follows:
          • Swamp Lizard: 56
          • Orange Salamander: 59
          • Red Salamander: 77
          • Black Salamander: 92
  • Tar Making:
    • Players can now make Guam/Marrentill/Tarromin/Harralander tar.
      • The process to do so requires using a clean Guam/Marrentill/Tarromin/Harralander herb on at least 15 swamp tar.
        • Players doing this will need to have a pestle and mortar in their inventory to crush the herb into the tar.
        • The Requirements/Experience is as follows:
          • Guam Tar:
            • Requires level 19 Herblore to make, providing 30 base Herblore experience for every herb used.
          • Marrentill tar:
            • Requires level 31 Herblore to make, providing 42.5 base Herblore experience for every herb used.
          • Tarromin tar:
            • Requires level 39 Herblore to make, providing 55 base Herblore experience for every herb used.
          • Harralander tar:
            • Requires level 44 Herblore to make, providing 72.5 base Herblore experience for every herb used.
  • Raid time record reset:
    • All raid time records have been reset, including Chambers of Xeric, Theatre of Blood, and Hard Mode Theatre of Blood.
      • Given the many changes to PvM formulas and other weapon nerfs and buffs, we have decided to wipe these records to give a fair chance to players to set new records with the current mechanics on Alora.
  • Bake Pie Spell:
    • Players with level 65 Magic or higher can now cast the Bake Pie spell in the Lunar spellbook.
      • This spell requires 1 Astral Rune, 5 Fire Runes, and 4 Water runes for each pie baked, and provides 60 base magic experience, along with the experience the player would get for cooking the pie normally.
        • This spell will automatically bake all of the pies in the players inventory that they have the cooking level for, however one set of the runes required will be consumed for every pie baked.
        • There is no chance of burning a pie when using this spell.
  • Blamish Oil:
    • Players can now make Blamish Oil.
      • This requires level 25 Herblore to do, and provides 80 base Herblore experience for doing so.
        • To make Blamish Oil, players will need a thin snail, and an empty vial or sample bottle.
          • Use a pestle and mortar on the thin snail with the vial/bottle in your inventory, and it will provide Blamish snail slime, which can then be used on an unfinished Harralander potion to create the Blamish oil.
            • Players can obtain thin snails by killing Ochre or Mort Myre blemish snails in Mort Myre swamp.
    • Blamish oil can be used on regular/pearl fishing rods to create the oily variant used to fish infernal eels.
      • Players can use a cleaning cloth on the oily rod to revert it back to the regular fishing rod.
  • Runecrafting Exit Portals:
    • Players can now use the Runecrafting exit portals for the following Altars:
      • Air Altar - Right outside of Falador, near Rimmington.
      • Water Altar - Lumbridge Swamp
      • Earth Altar - Between Varrock and the Sawmill
      • Fire Altar - Just outside of the Duel arena
      • Law Altar - Entrana
      • Nature Altar - Karamja Jungle (near hardwood grove)
      • Chaos Altar - Level 9 wilderness, just west of Edgeville
        • Players will be warned before exiting this altar.
  • Clockworks:
    • Players can now make Clockworks at the clockwork bench in their POH, as long as it is the second tier or higher.
      • This will require level 8 Crafting, and 1 steel bar, and provide 15 base crafting experience.
  • Bug Fixes:
    • Players can now mine with the Black Pickaxe.
    • Removed the wilderness sword 4/Varrock armour 4/Ardougne Cloak 4 from the reclaimables shop.
      • These items, as with all other diary armour, must be re-purchased from the achievement shop if lost.
    • Black Chinchompa's now have a +30 Ranged Strength bonus.
      • This will significantly increase their maximum damage.
    • The Slayer Helmet boost will now apply to all mobs in the Fight Caves, rather than just Jad.
    • Players will now automatically stop fishing Karambwanji after 3 minutes.
    • Fixed a bug with the gnome guard attack/defend animations.
    • Players can no longer note the regular archaic emblem.
    • Fixed a bug where the regular Youngllef pet did not have a "Metamorphosis" option for players who had unlocked the corrupted version.
    • Fixed a bug where player's daily login streaks would be incorrectly reset under rare circumstances.
    • The monkey cape variants now have a +2 range strength bonus, similar to the regular max/completionist monkeys.
    • Fixed a bug where pies did not give any cooking experience.
    • Fixed a bug where scrolling on an interface using the mouse wheel would sometimes cause the game to zoom out.
    • Fixed bugged wall textures in the donator zone on 2010 mode 117 HD.
    • Fixed a bug with the double fishing spot graphic on 2010 mode at Tempoross.
    • Fixed a bug where the Armadyl godsword special attack graphic would be bugged when switching from 2010->2007 mode.
    • Removed a custom mechanic that only drained amulet of blood fury charges on successful hits.
      • This was an obscure/confusing mechanic on the blood fury meant to act as a buff for the item when it initially released and had a 10% chance to heal 10% of the hit.
        • Now that this amulet has a 20% chance to heal 30%, it no longer needs this buff.
  • Quality of Life:
    • King Black Dragon will no longer deal damage through melee protection prayer when attacking with his Melee attack.
    • Players will now stop burning Karambwans at level 99 cooking.
    • The wilderness swords 1/2/3/4 can now cut webs while in the player's inventory.
    • Dwarven rock cakes are now untradable, and will go to the reclaimables shop upon death.
    • Added a placeholder for the Corrupted Youngllef pet.
    • Added placeholders for the Sraracha pet variants.
    • Players with 16+ Agility can now use the Yanille tunnel shortcut.
    • Oily Fishing Rods can now be stored in the tackle box.
    • The Prifddinas Allotment has been added to the Farmer's Blessing.
      • Players must still have access to Prifddinas to use this teleport.
    • Elite/group ironman players can now use the rejuvination pools in their partner/group members POH's.
    • The Chaos Elemental Slayer task will no longer be assigned as a boss task by Nieve/Konar.
    • Adjusted the price of some items in the cooking supplies shops to not be so expensive (namely flour, cooking apples, and chocolate bars).

Hello there,

Niels here. I used to play and moderate, admin and help out setting up the biggests RSPS' back in the days (not mentioning any names as that is against the rules.)

Already met some old people ingame and are looking for others that may recognize the name. It has been ages since I last played any RSPS.

Nice to meet you,

Just a quick little PC crash is all it took >.<

But with that being said the journey of this Hardcore has come to an end. Honestly speaking i did not get too upset about it, if anything i have been talking about not wanting to

be a Hardcore Account for a while now. I figured it be stupid to just kill the account or de-iron without it happening naturally. Got to a point where

this boredom helped me build up enough courage to do 1 of 2 contents i refused to do for such a long period of time (exception to wilderness) was Corp & Nightmare.

Only thing that's mildly upsetting is that i died to a out of game situation like most Hardcores and not to something i "messed up" ingame and can accept lightly but best

to not let it bother me since i have already been past the point of having not much left to do.

Thank you to all those that have supported me throughout my Hardcore journey. I wish i can list all the names that have been lots of you out there and you know who you are <3

I will still be playing, this does not demotivate me hope to see you all around! Enjoy all the pictures below of my pre-death experience!

#418276 skeleton monkey on uim

Posted by Cultured on 06 December 2021 - 04:17 AM

Completed my goal of getting the skeleton monkey transformation on my Ultimate Ironman!

A painful two weeks of 45-minute wilderness sessions and another 5 minutes grabbing gear and re suiciding/ re gearing for another round.

All in all most bosses took around 4-5 hours to complete with Venenatis being the longest boss taking about 6-7 hours to complete maxing out at 22 kills before I needed to reset loot pile.

Here are some of my notable drops from the grind.

010bcef10014c10083088a460984cfee.pngec89cb10cf11ae9fcdab7c17cbe2e8ff.png3909350b555d1a84bc9460ad58fee036.png

All wilderness rings and surprisingly only 1 dpick and only 1 odium/malediction shard. Revs log was 764 rev goblins and handful of cyclops and imps. I did also get 1000 red spiders eggs 250 and crushed nests.

#418204 Have the timer on vote page tick down

Posted by Jerbear on 05 December 2021 - 11:37 AM

What is your suggestion?:

As it currently works, if you load the vote page too soon after having voted (within 12 hours) it displays the amount of time until you can vote as a static value. For example, it may say:

You have already voted within the last 12 hours! You must wait 13 minutes 59 seconds.

While this is useful for allowing one to calculate when they will be able to vote, it requires a player to refresh the page to check again after a period of time. This suggestion is to have the time displayed tick down, as the time left decreases. When the time hits 0, the page can trigger a refresh, and that way it's evident the player can vote again immediately.

Depending on the backend tech stack Alora's website is using, there are a number of open-source packages to easily manage this kind of functionality:

I believe you'll find W3Schools even has a guide on adding this without using a third party package if you prefer.

Is this in OSRS?:

N/A

Has this suggestion been accepted already?:

No

How would this benefit Alora?:

Reduces the effort from players to know when they are eligible to vote again, encouraging voting, and thus player gain

Hello everyone,

We hope that your holidays are off to a great start! It's that time of the year, and we've got plenty of QoL updates to get the month started right. We've made a huge performance change for the new M1 Chip Mac devices, which will require a separate client download that is now available on the "Play" page. We've also released the League hall for Player-owned houses, a few new functional areas including the Smoke Dungeon, Yanille Agility Dungeon, and Heroes' guild basement, as well as expanding on existing areas such as being able to fish Infernal Eels in Mor-Ul-Rek. Aside from this, we've added many new QoL changes such as the as being able to click players' names to view other offers on the Trading Post, and being able to search on the Teleport Wizard interface. Here's a full list of changes below:

  • Trading Post Changes:
    • Added a "View offers" option on trading post items that show up in the recent/player listings.
      • Players can click this option to view offers available for that specific item, as if they had searched for that item initially.
      • This option has been added over the item text, along with the “View History” option, so if both the “View History” and “View offers” options are present, it will prompt a right click first, so that players are aware there is more than one option.
  • Sotetseg Changes:
    • Sotetseg will now fire the Red ball attack after 15 regular mage/range projectile hits.
      • This has been increased from the 10 on OSRS, since Sotetseg does not currently attack using melee.
    • Fixed a bug where the projectiles would rebound off of players who had died very quickly, making them unable to be protected against.
    • Sotetseg's default projectile attack will now only rebound back to at most 2 players, rather than any nearby player.
      • The rebound attacks will now also always be 1 magic projectile and 1 range projectile.
    • Sotetseg will no longer use his red-ball attack right after players finish the shadow realm maze.
  • Infernal Eel Fishing:
    • Players with level 80 or higher Fishing can now fish Infernal eels in Mor-Ul-Rek.
      • Players who wish to do so must have access to Mor-Ul-Rek, requiring a fire cape to enter.
      • This fishing method requires an oily fishing rod, which can be obtained from the ironman shop or the regular fishing shops.
        • Players can also use their Oily pearl fishing rod they’ve obtained from Aerial fishing.
    • Each Infernal Eel caught will provide 95 fishing experience, and players with 99 fishing should be able to get 350+ eels per hour.
      • This number will increase based on fishing boosts, rada’s blessing, and donator status.
    • This fishing method is similar to Sacred eels, where the fishing spots will not move (as with all fishing spots on Alora), but players will automatically stop fishing after 3 minutes, and will need to click on the spot again to do so.
    • Players can use a hammer on the Infernal eels to smash them, which will provide them with certain items.
      • Onyx Bolt Tips: 1/16 chance to get 1 onyx bolt tip
      • Lava scale shards: 1/12 chance to get 1-5 lava scale shard(s)
      • Tokkul: If players did not receive the onyx bolt tips or lava scale shards, they’ll receive 14-20 tokkul.
  • Yanille Agility Dungeon:
    • The NPC spawns in the Yanille dungeon have been updated to include chaos druids, Salarin the Twisted, more Giant Bats, Skeletons, and Chaos Druid Warriors.
    • Players can now use all the entrances/agility shortcuts within this dungeon properly, given that they have the necessary Agility level to do so.
    • Sinister Chest:
    • There are 2 entrances to this dungeon, however one of them will require that players have a lock pick and 82 thieving to get through (this is the one closest to Yanille bank).
    • A lock pick spawn has been added near the pile of rubble to get to Salarin the twisted.
    • A Knife spawn has been added to the northern section of the dungeon.
  • Impling Changes:
    • Players can now lookup the drop table/rates of items that are obtained from any impling, with the exception of Lucky Implings.
      • To do so, simply open the npc drop searcher, and enter the name of the implying you wish to look up.
      • The Drop Searcher interface will now also display results of items that can be obtained from various implants when players are searching for a specific item.
    • Drop Table Rework:
      • The Eclectic, Earth, Nature, and Magpie implings have had their drop tables reworked to more or less match the OSRS table (with some exceptions).
        • Previously, as you may have noticed, these tables were very different from the ones the wiki listed.
  • Herblore Changes:
    • Players can now create the following potions:
      • Divine Bastion Potion:
        • This potion can be creating by using crystal dust on a 1/2/3/4 dose bastion potion.
          • Players are required to have at least 86 Herblore, and 1 crystal dust per dose of potion being created.
            • This potion will act as a divine range and divine defence potion combined.
      • Divine Battlemage Potion:
        • This potion can be creating by using crystal dust on a 1/2/3/4 dose battlemage potion.
          • Players are required to have at least 86 Herblore, and 1 crystal dust per dose of potion being created.
            • This potion will act as a divine magic and divine defence potion combined.
  • Teleport Wizard Changes:
    • Yellowbox Descriptions:
      • Some Teleports (particularly the dungeon teleport list) will now create a yellow box description when hovering over the teleport for a short period, detailing some important information about that teleport.
        • In the case of Dungeons, it will list all of the monsters that can be found in that dungeon.
    • Search Functionality:
      • Players will now see a search button in the top right corner of the interface, which they can use to search for a specific teleport, or monster.
        • The search box will consistently update the list of results as the player types, and will not only match the teleport location, but also the names of monsters, areas where players can train certain skills, areas where players can obtain certain items, etc…
  • M1 Mac Client:
    • Players can now download a client optimized for M1/M1 Pro/M1 Max apple devices.
      • This client will run a lot smoother/faster than the standard Mac client designed for Intel Macs, so we highly recommend downloading this client if you’re using one of the new Macs.
  • Chambers of Xeric Changes:
    • Olm Changes:
      • The Ground Crystal attack (where crystals grow under all players in the fight, dealing damage to any players who did not move) will not be properly classified as a left-hand attack.
        • This means that it will follow the rules described below from now on, rather than be consistently done on a timer, as it was before.
      • Olm’s left hand now has 4 defined special attacks:
        • Ground Crystals
        • Lightning
        • Portals
        • Healing
        • The order in which these attacks are done are as follows:
          • Olm will try to do 2 “auto-attacks”, which are pretty much all other types of attacks that aren’t the 4 listed above, and after those 2, it will then immediately try to use a special attack.
            • The special attacks will now be done in this specific order:
              • Phases 1/2: Ground Crystals -> Lightning -> Portals
                • This order will repeat for all special attacks in Phase 1/2.
              • Final Phase: Ground Crystals -> Lightning -> Portals -> Healing
                • This order will repeat for all special attacks in the final phase.
      • Olm will no longer be able to clench his left claw if the right claw is disabled.
      • Fixed a bug which would sometimes send the message "The raid has begun!" a few minutes into the raid, resetting everyone's points.
      • The Portal Special Attack will now select a random tile in the room that the player must stand on in Solo raids.
        • Previously, it would simply skip the Portal special attack.
      • Players will now be able to skip a special attack if no player is in Olm’s line of sight when he uses it.
        • This is similar to dodging his basic attacks by running the head.
    • Skeletal Mystics:
      • Adjusted the accuracy on Skeletal mystics so that players should be able to take less damage when using the magic prayer against them.
    • Tekton:
      • Tekton will no longer heal more than his max hitpoints when hammering.
    • Fixed a bug where players would get less potions than they were supposed to as boss drops.
      • This bug applies to Tekton Overloads, Vespula Xeric’s Aids, Vasa Twisted/Xeric’s aids, and Vanguard Xeric’s aids.
  • Clue Scroll Casket Changes:
    • Rather than receiving 2-5 rewards from all clue scroll caskets, they will now give the same amount that they do in OSRS.
      • Elite Clue casket: 4-6 rolls
      • Hard Clue casket: 4-6 rolls
      • Medium Clue casket: 3-5 rolls
      • Easy Clue casket: 2-4 rolls.
    • The Master caskets already gave the proper number of rolls (5-7), so they’ve not been changed.
    • We’ve also made it so that if a player rolls a master clue from a casket, it will count as one of their rewards, whereas it previously did not.
  • Fairy Ring Plugin:
    • Players can now access the Fairy Ring Plugin in the Runelite plugin list.
      • This plugin will create a search button on the Fairy Ring’s travel log, which players can use to filter fairy ring destinations quickly.
  • GPU Plugin Changes:
    • Players will now be able to enable/disable VSync mode.
      • When VSync mode is on, it will try to synchronize the client’s frame rate with the user’s monitor.
    • FPS Target:
      • Players can now set an FPS target they want to GPU plugin to attempt to maintain.
        • This value can be anywhere from 1-360 FPS.
        • Players must have VSync mode turned off, and FPS unlocking turned on for this setting to work.
    • These settings will likely be added to the 117 HD plugin soon, if they’re not already implemented at the time of this update.
  • Slayer Task Blocking Extension:
    • Donators will now have an increased number of slayer tasks that they can block.
      • The default number of tasks a player can block is 5, and this number increases with the following ranks:
        • Super/Extreme donator:
          • 6 blockable tasks
        • Legendary donator:
          • 7 blockable tasks
        • Uber donator:
          • 8 blockable tasks
        • Master donator:
          • 9 blockable tasks
        • Immortal/eternal donator:
          • 10 blockable tasks
            • Eternal donators can select their own tasks, making the need for more blocked task slots unnecessary
    • If a player loses/transfers their donator rank, they will lose any blocked tasks that are larger than the number they’re allowed to have.
      • For example, if a player has 10 blocked tasks, and then transfers their rank, they’ll lose their last 5 blocked tasks.
  • Reclaimables Shop Changes:
    • Players can now select the “Reclaim all lost untradables” option at the bottom of the reclaimable shop interface.
      • This option will allow players to purchase all the items (or as many as they can afford) in the shop.
        • The items will be purchased in the order that is shown in the shop from top to bottom/Left to right.
  • Achievement Diary Changes:
    • The easy Morytania Diary task to “Collect 35 Mort myre fungus” has been moved to the Medium diary.
      • The easy task has been replaced with a new task to kill 10 Banshees in the slayer tower.
        • Players who have previously completed the “Collect 35 mort myre fungus” task will not need to complete this new easy task.
      • All players will need to re-complete the new Medium diary task to collect 35 Mort myre fungus.
  • Donator Zone Changes:
    • The South-East corner of the Donator Zone now contains 12 Flax spawns, and a spinning wheel, to allow players to earn some early Crafting levels.
  • Monster Killcount Interface Changes:
    • The Monster killcount interface will now show the total boss and regular NPC killcount in the headers.
    • A search box will now appear when using the Killcounts interface, which will allow players to search their killcount for a specific set of NPC's that match/partially match the search.
      • Players can either click on the suggested match, or simply press enter to search a partial string.
        • For example, if players type “Kalphite”, and press enter, it will return all npc kill counts that a player has that matches/partially matches with “Kalphite”.
      • After a search, players can press enter on an empty search to view all the killcounts again.
  • Smoke Dungeon:
    • Players can now enter the Smoke Dungeon through the entrance near Pollnivneach, or using the Teleport wizard.
      • This Dungeon features many Dust Devil spawns, Fire giant spawns, Fire Element spawns, and Pyrefiend spawns.
        • The majority of the dungeon is single-combat, except for the Task-only area.
      • The West part of the dungeon is a task-only slayer area, where players will find some Dust devils that they can kill only while on a slayer task.
        • This area is multi-combat, however players cannot setup a cannon here.
  • Heroes’ Guild Basement:
    • Players can now charge their Amulets of glory at the Fountain of Heroes in the Heroes’ guild.
      • Unlike the Fountain of Rune, this fountain can only charge glories (no other type of dragon stone jewellery), and will only charge glories to 4 charges, rather than 6.
    • Players who have 67 Agility, and have completed the Falador medium diaries will have access to the shortcut in the Heroes’ guild basement, to charge glories quicker.
  • League Hall:
    • Players can now build a league hall in their player-owned houses for 150k gp, given that they have at least level 27 construction.
    • Features:
      • Banner Stands:
        • Standard banner stand:
          • Requires level 30 construction, 2 Limestone bricks, and provides 40 experience.
        • Ornate banner stand:
          • Requires level 66 construction, 2 marble blocks, 1 gold leaf, and provides 1,300 experience.
        • Players can store their league banners on these banner stands to show them off.
      • Rugs:
        • Brown rug:
          • Requires 13 construction and 4 bolts of cloth, providing 60 experience.
        • Trailblazer rug:
          • Requires 28 construction, 4 bolts of cloth, and a trailblazer rug, providing 283 experience.
        • Opulent rug:
          • Requires 65 construction, 4 bolt of cloth, and 1 gold leaf, providing 360 experience.
      • Outfit stand:
        • Oak outfit stand:
          • Requires 34 construction and 4 oak planks, providing 240 experience.
        • Mahogany outfit stand:
          • Requires 74 construction, 4 mahogany planks, and 1 gold leaf, providing 860 experience.
        • Players can store any outfit obtained from a League on these stands (requires the hat/hood, boots, coat, trousers, and cane).
      • Pedestal:
        • Trophy pedestal:
          • Requires 27 construction, 4 limestone bricks, 1 rope, and red dye, providing 86 experience.
        • Ornate trophy pedestal:
          • Requires 64 construction, 3 Marble blocks, 1 gold leaf, 1 rope, and red dye, providing 2,106 experience.
        • Players can store any trophy obtained from a league on these pedestals to show them off.
          • Upon inspecting the trophy, the player will be notified of how many points were required in the league to obtain that trophy tier.
      • Accomplishment scroll:
        • Requires level 48 construction, 10 papyrus, and 1 gold leaf, providing 310 experience.
        • League statistics:
          • Players can use this scroll to view the amount of points they earned in a league, as well as the trophy tier they obtained.
            • When a visitor uses this, it will show the points obtained by the owner of the house.
        • League rankings:
          • Players can use this scroll to view the top 25 players in a league (ranked by points).
            • The names shown will be the name of the player’s main account (not their league name) at the time of this update.
      • Statue:
        • League statue:
          • Requires level 32 construction and 6 limestone bricks, providing 120 experience.
        • Trailblazer glove:

        • Mahogany trophy case:
          • Requires 78 construction, 6 mahogany planks, and 2 gold leaves, providing 1,440 experience.
        • Players can store all of their trophies earned in a league in this trophy case, and can choose to display it either opened or closed.
          • Players will only see the option to store trophies that they’ve gotten enough league points to unlock.
            • For example, a player who completed the last league with 22,000 points (rune tier), will not see the dragon trophy in this case.
  • Bug Fixes:
    • The escape key will no longer close the screen fade interface or the house loading interface.
    • Fixed a bug where the fishing spots at Tempoross would go invisible if the storm cloud was above/near them.
      • They will now always be rendered.
    • Fixed a bugged cave entrance in the Kebos Lowlands.
    • Fixed a bugged staircase in Draynor village.
    • Fixed a bug where auto-retaliate would not work on Basilisk knights if they splashed their attack.
    • Fixed a bug where players could interact with the occult altar through the transparent chatbox/inventory.
    • Fixed a bug where the sprite for the standard sanguinesti staff did not show up on the trading post search interface.
    • Fixed a bug where money caskets would have the "wear", "features" and "transform" options.
    • The Dwarven Rock Cake now has the “Guzzle” option on 2010 mode.
    • The ladder in the chaos temple near the Warriors’ guild will no go back down rather than up a level.

    • Fixed a bug where players could not use the "Last-destination" option on the Spirit Tree & Fairy Ring object in their POH.
    • The Pirate's Hook item is now equippable in the glove slot, rather than the offhand/shield slot.
      • This is to fix an issue where the hook was being drawn over the player’s hand.
    • Fixed a bug where Bank tabs would interrupt private messages when doing skilling activities if the player left the tag open after closing their bank.
    • Potentially fixed a bug where NPC’s would sometimes walk into walls and get stuck there.
      • This is a difficult bug to reproduce, so if you notice this is still happening, please pm me or create a bug report.
    • Fixed a bug where players would be able to logout on the same tick that poison damage was dealt, causing their client to go to the login screen, but their account would still be logged in for another minute.
      • Players will no longer be able to logout on the same tick that poison damage is dealt.
    • Players can no longer use the house teleport spell if they're already in their POH.
    • Fixed a bug where the 4th birthday hat placeholder was showing the 5th birthday balloons sprite.
    • Fixed a bug where bird snares did not have a placeholder.
    • Fixed a bug where fletching amethyst dart tips would only make 8 tips rather than 10.
    • Fixed a bug where players only the “Trident of the seas (full)” item would display in the trading post search, rather than the standard “Trident of the seas”, which Alora mainly uses.
    • Fixed a bugged tunnel entrance near the Fremennik slayer dungeon.
    • Fixed a bug where players could not set any cities after Seers' Village as their home teleport city.
    • Fixed a bug that was causing crashes when logging in with the GPU plugin on resizable, or with stretched mode on.
    • Fixed a texture issue with the walls in the smoke devil dungeon on 2010 GPU mode.
    • Fixed a bug that was causing client crashes while logging in with the GPU plugin.
  • Quality of Life/Minor Changes:
    • Snow will now be the default texture until January.
      • Players can still toggle snow off by using the command ::snow.
      • Removed snow from dungeons, instances, the Desert area, and Karamja.
    • Penance gloves now reduce 4.5 kg of weight when equipped.
    • The Menu Entry Swapper Plugin now has an option (listed under the “Items” sublist) to add left-click customizations.
      • These customizations can be done similarly to the shift-click ones, where a player can right-click the inventory tab and configure their left-click options on items.
        • For example, players can swap “wear” with “Teleport” as the default left-click option on completionism monkeys.
    • The dwarf cannon will now make the proper noise when firing a cannonball, as well as when it hits an npc.
    • Added the Toxic staff of the dead to the chatbox item search in the trading post, rather than just the uncharged version.
    • Players can now enter the amount of revenant ether they wish to add to their Revenant weapon, rather than it just consuming as many ether as it can from the player's inventory.
    • Lizardman Fangs have been added to the Chambers of Xeric drop table.
    • Removed the "Drag Distance" configuration from the Anti-drag plugin to simplify it.
    • The Collector will now log Twisted Ancestral Color Kits.
    • Players can now make regular Compost using the various compost bins around the game.
    • Players can now drink the Slayers Respite.
      • This is a drink obtained from Eclectic Implings which can boost the player’s slayer level by 2 (one-time boost), but will also decrease the players attack and strength levels by 2 (this effect stacks).
    • Crystal implings will now respawn every 30-60 minutes.
      • Previously, they would not respawn at all after they were caught.
    • The loot tracker will now track Mahogany Homes supply crates.
    • The size of the scrollbar in the teleport/option/data interfaces (the scroll interfaces) will now update dynamically based on the number of entries listed.
      • Previously, this would just be a really long, mostly empty scroll interface if a player scrolled down past the listed options.
    • Adjusted the teleports in the Jewellery box to match OSRS's teleports exactly.
      • There were a few custom Alora teleports that were added when the jewellery box was implemented, however most of these have since had their proper teleport location implemented, and they would cause issues with the “previous option” on the jewellery box.
    • Players will now be able to pick up their hunter traps after relogging.
    • Vesta's spear will no longer count as a spear against corporeal beast for balancing purposes.
      • This means that it will be subject to the 50% damage decrease.
    • The spellbook swap on skillcapes will now play the proper animation/graphic.
    • The spellbook swap on skillcapes will no longer create a chatbox dialogue, and will now only send a chat message.

    • The "Warrior's guild" teleport on the Max/Completionist monkeys in the equipment interface has been replaced with the "Teleport to POH" option instead.

    • The following items will no longer be announced from Lucky Implings:
      • Ham Joint
      • Wolf Cloak
      • Wolf Mask
      • Climbing boots (G)
      • Wizard boots
      • Holy Sandals
      • Giant Boot
      • Adamant dragon mask
      • Rune dragon mask
      • Staff of the bob the cat
      • Rain bow
    • The Blisterwood Flail is now a tradable item.
    • All Max capes have had their “Features” option on the equipment tab replaced with the “Tele to POH” option.
      • This will not carry over to Max/Completionist Monkeys, since they have already have a “Diary teleports” option.
    • The Tome of Fire and Dragon Axe will now be announced in Yell when players obtain one of these items from Wintertodt.
    • Konar will now assign Dust Devil Dungeon Dust devils and Fire giants.
      • This dungeon is listed as the “Smoke Dungeon” on the world map, however we’ve assigned it as the Dust Devil Dungeon, since the Teleport wizard will list it as such, so players do not confuse it with the Smoke Devil Dungeon.
    • Increased the draw distance through the interface styles plugin from 50 tiles to 90 tiles.
    • The kalphite queen respawn time has been decreased from 43 seconds to 30 seconds.
    • The players current/base experience rates on the quest tab will now show the experience rate of the skill level in the last skill they earned experience in since logging in.
      • This is only important for regular Ironman/regular players, since their experience rates change after level 99.
        • So for example, if a regular player is earning combat experience, the experience rate they will see will reflect the combat experience rate for regular players, until they gain experience in another skill.
    • Fixed a bug where XP drops would move too fast if the player had uncapped fps higher than 60.
    • Players can now make the inquisitor armour set when using the set pieces on the trading post.
    • Players can now purchase the Trailblazer Globe in the league shop for 2,500 league points.
      • This item can be used to build the Trailblazer globe in a player’s POH League hall.
        • This item will be returned to the player if they ever decide to remove the globe from their hall.
    • Players can now purchase the Trailblazer Rug in the league shop for 3,000 league points.
      • This item can be used to build the Trailblazer rug in a player’s POH League hall.
        • This item will be returned to the player if they ever decide to remove the rug from their hall.
    • The granite maul will no longer be announced over yell.
    • The Amulet of avarice now provides a 20% boost to accuracy and damage on Revenants.
    • Clue scroll steps will now be reset for any clue scroll given to Watson in exchange for a Master clue scroll.
    • The Construction supplies shop now sells Red dye.
    • Players can now right-click a player's name in the trading post search interface to select an option to view all of their listed items.
    • The game will now announce in-game and on discord when a player reaches Completionist status.

#417601 Memories and Thanks

Reading this brings back some great memories, feels like ages ago that we were messing around on a server with just 10 players. Undoubtedly, you helped shape the direction that Alora took, along with everyone else you mentioned that was part of the early team and testers. I still remember asking for ideas for a server name, and for some reason when you suggested Alora I immediately thought “that’s the one.”

Even though our paths have all diverted, I’m glad that we all share this part of our history. We’ve learned a whole lot on this journey, and I’m proud of the growth and progress you’ve made along the way.

Random thread. Some shower thoughts, wanted to post in one of the places that shaped the journey. This thread probably not relevant to you if you don't know me, so feel free to close out of it.

Been on a crazy ride my whole life, been privilaged enough to live in multiple countries; growing up and experiencing, encorportating, learning about new cultures - while also being exposed to a whole new medium that we take for granted, the Internet. All these things come together and shape the person who you are.

Alora, got quite a couple of years under its belt. Congrats @Omicron. Knew we were building something special when we first set out. We've both changed, and grown over the years. I still remember the days we were sitting on Skype transforming the little server known as Impact to what this became. Looking back, it's quite an achievement. We went from playing a small scale server with 10 active players, to a server that's still around for multiple years and has a playercount that has consistently been over the multiple houndres.

The days sitting on Skype, together with a couple of other members [uTorrent, Ikta, Drake] - those were wild times. I remember us testing hours on end to get what would then be Alora. Stripping the game down to its bare bones, and transitioning to the OSRS meta that we see dominates the scene today. We went from getting an update every 3 months to weekly ones at launch and even to this day I see you jam packing updates on a consistent basis. I still remember the day I came up with the name Alora, recalling that it was some city in Spain and suddenly wondering if that would cause conflict with the SEO indexing - looks like it's the first result now and has been for a while.  ;)

Great times. Then once we launched, I still remember stressing out about how I was going to put the team together and make all this function. I was ectatic, yet stressed. I still remember finally deciding to go out properly after the first two weeks of launch, and while I was out intoxicated out of my mind - I get the ping "The server crashed"; back when crashes were still a thing and someone had to reboot the server to ensure everything continued running. What a trip.

Managing all of that, thought me a bunch of lessons along the way - and for those I am forever greatful. Want to shout out all the team members who were part of the journey - no matter how short it was. Very thankful for all the work everyone did, especially people like Ikta, Haris, uTorrent, and countless of others who helped shape the team along the way. We all make mistakes, and I had my fair share of those too. The decisions made while I was in that burnout phase while dealing with another personal aspect of my life lead me down a self-destructing path in terms of my Alora career. That said, we all make mistakes - we're only human after all and sometimes its easy to get blinded by some things; some easier than others. That said, I learned life lessons that I'll never forget and those were critical for making me who I am today. Experienced heartbreak, and lost the clostest friends I had at the same time - and yet the best of friends are always able to forgive, and that's what you guys did.  Thanks for sticking by me over all these years, and allowing me to vent to you, learn from you, and just chill along the way.

Anyways with that out of the way, I want to take a moment to shout out the PWJ friendgroup. Majority of ex-players that came together and chilled over the 2.5 years. Very thankful for every member in there, you guys are forever part of the people I will respect! Endless of moments of discussions in there, always trying to help each other out - while continuing to degen around. Our internal leaderboard for the curious.

Spoiler

Anyways, could type some more but seems like this thread is already becoming more than what I initially anticipated.  :blind:

Wanted to take a bit of time to thank all the people that were part of the journey, and somehow this felt like the perfect time to post something like this. The community, Alora itself, and the work I put in has given me a bunch of life lessons that I continue to leverage in my life. I would not have been so successful without any of this happening. Wishing everyone the best, find what drives you and act on it.

GM.

TLDR; Just a thread looking back at the journey I had. Thank you to everyone I met along the way, especially to the legends chilling in PWJ.

#417072 Please Fix Olm

Posted by Omicron on 22 November 2021 - 04:16 PM

Your suggestion has been accepted.

#377094 Make Olm Great Again.

Posted by GIMP Jesus on 16 October 2020 - 04:21 PM

Fellow Alorians,

New Chambers of Xeric is under fire, so I decided to give my opinion on a slice of it, Olm.

In my opinion OSRS Olm fight is a lot easier, so I'd love to move towards that.

Besides that there are a lot of bugs that would be fixed if we would get this suggestion accepted!

This topic was made with the help of @GIMP Happy who has a lot more experience with raids on OSRS than me.

He helped me get the basics and I looked up the information using the good old trusty www.oldschool.runescape.wiki!

I'll be talking about multiple parts of the Olm fight, so I'd appreciate if you address them by number and don't randomly say no to all.

I put effort into the suggestion, I expect effort in feedback to it.

Some parts of this are definitely a bug. So if Omi could reach out to me about them, I can report them separately!

1. Olm head auto and phase-unique attacks

Olm head can not attack you while head running due to his blindness. If he can't attack you this counts as a skip for his attack cycle.

Attacks consists of: Standard attacks (mage/range), spheres (red, green, purple) and phase-unique attacks. (Acid Spray, Acid Drip, Deep Burn and Falling Crystals)

ztf0Nr6.png

2. Olm left hand attacks

Olm can not cast a special attack unless 2 auto attacks have happened. (1 skip = 1 auto attack as mentioned above)

Olm can also not cast abilities while his left hand is clenched / disabled.

Olm can also not cast multiple attacks at the same time.

3. Olm left hand

Olm can not clench his left hand while the right hand is disabled. He can also not clench it in the 3rd phase.

During the 3rd phase. He can only heal after the swap/pairing special attack. (Heal replaces clench)

Gx2eATg.png

Why would I like to see these changes:

Suggestion 1 would make it so we would take less damage.

Suggestion 2 would make it so we would lake less damage and make the fight less chaotic and more systematic. Making it easier for people to learn.

Suggestion 3 would speed up the kill, because at the moment Olm can just heal, clench, heal, ... . Which is a bug.

These changes are rewarding for people that know how to raid, and its easier to learn.

Terminology:

Clenched hand means Olm is protecting his hand.

Disabled hands are hands that have been brought to 0 hp and Olm has pulled down.
Pairing, teleports and swap all mean the same. It is the attack where Olm pairs up 2 players.

Crystal burst / spikes both mean the same. It is the attack where Olm puts spikes under the player.

If there is anything you don't understand please let me know!

#415914 Blisterwood Flail Server wide drop note.

Posted by J boogs on 10 November 2021 - 10:07 AM

I removed the granite maul, let me know if there are any other drops that are too low value/not rare enough to be getting announced, and I'll exclude them.

@Omicron There are a few items that announce via lucky implings such as;

  • Ham Joint
  • Wolf Cloak
  • Climbing boots (G)
  • Wizard boots
  • Staff of the bob the cat
  • Rain bow

Would be nice these could be removed as they aren't that rare such as 3rd age piece, Ranger boots and Gilded pieces.

#414876 [29/10/21] Halloween event, FPS unlocking, Dynamic GFX mode changing & mo...

Posted by Omicron on 29 October 2021 - 07:57 PM

POdbX4R.png

Hello everyone,

Happy Halloween! The Halloween event is now live, speak to the monks in Edgeville to get started. Brother Jered of the Edgeville Monastery requires some assistance saving the Monastery this year, and you will be rewarded for your assistance! We've also added the FPS Unlocking plugin (FPS Control) on RuneLite, the ability to change your GFX mode (2007 or 2010) dynamically in-game without rebooting the client, and a huge amount of QoL changes and small content additions, such as POH updates (fancy dress box, house lectern), yak-hide armour, and bones to peaches/bananas, to name a few. We'll let you take a look at the update list for yourself below:

  • GPU/117 HD FPS unlocking:
    • “The GPU/117 HD plugins have a new Unlock FPS option which disables the 50 FPS hard cap on the client and allows the client to render frames at the maximum rate supported by your system. For most users, this will be 60 FPS, unless you have a display and GPU which supports a higher refresh rate. The higher frame rate is applied to camera movements, like how the (OSRS) steam and mobile clients work, which results in a smoother feel when moving the camera with mouse or keyboard input.”
  • Chambers of Xeric Loot Changes:
    • We’ve removed the ability to unlock the Preserve prayer from the Prayer Scroll, and have added the Torn prayer scroll as a common drop from the Chambers of Xeric.
      • The regular Prayer scroll will now only be for Rigour and Augury.
    • We’ve added the Dark Relic as common loot from the Chambers of Xeric.
      • When used, this will work similar to an experience lamp, and will provide the following amount of experience:
        • If the chosen skill is one of the skills used in the Chambers of Xeric – Combat skills, Mining, Woodcutting, Herblore, Farming, Hunter, Cooking, Fishing, Thieving, Firemaking, or Agility - the player will receive 150 times their level in that skill as experience.
        • If the chosen skill is not on this list, the player will instead only receive 50 times the corresponding skill level as experience.
      • The player’s game mode multiplier will factor into the experience provided from these relics.
    • We’ve added the noted teak and mahogany planks as common loot from the Chambers of Xeric.
  • Revenant Changes:
    • Revenant healing mechanics now match the new OSRS changes.
      • The changes are as follow:
        • They now have a cooldown that begins once they have healed, preventing them from healing again for 15 cycles (9 seconds).
        • They are now guaranteed a heal whenever they attack while they're below half HP, so long as their heal is ready and not on cooldown.
        • They can only heal themselves a total of 8-36 times before being unable to heal again.
    • The Revenant heal graphic has been updated to match OSRS.
    • Revenants will now drop between 1-10 revenant cave teleport scrolls, rather than just 1.
  • Theatre of Blood Chest Changes:
    • Players can now loot the chests outside of the Theatre of Blood if they recently finished a Theatre and forgot to loot their chest in the reward room.
      • This chest will be available to be looted until a player either logs out, or enters another Theatre of Blood session.
      • Players who try to enter the Theatre of Blood without fully looting the chest containing their previous Theatre of Blood loot will be warned/prompted before being able to enter.
  • Fancy Dress Box:
    • Players can now store the following random event sets in their POH Fancy Dress Box in their Costume room:
      • Beekeeper Outfit
      • Camo Outfit
      • Frog Prince Outfit
      • For Princess Outfit
      • Lederhosen Outfit
      • Mime Outfit
      • Zombie Outfit
    • There are 3 types of Fancy Dress Boxes to build.
      • Oak Fancy Dress Box:
        • This dress box stores up to 2 random event outfits.
      • Teak Fancy Dress Box:
        • This dress box stores up to 4 random event outfits.
      • Mahogany Fancy Dress Box:
        • This dress box stores all possible random event outfits.
  • Blast Furnace Changes:
    • The Blast Furnace now accepts ores/coal in a similar fashion to OSRS.
      • Previously, we allowed a maximum of 200 coal/primary ores to be deposited into the blast furnace.
        • This was problematic if players had deposited too many primary ores, since if a player deposited 200 adamant ores, for example, they would not be able to deposit anymore coal, and therefore would need to log out to reset the blast furnace, losing all of their ores.
        • The new system will allow players to deposit up to 254 Coal into the blast furnace, and have up to 28 bars ready to be collected at any given moment.
  • Farming Changes:
    • The Harmony Island Herb and Allotment patches now work properly.
      • We’ve also added the tool leprechaun there, so players can access their tool storage.
    • The Harmony Island Herb Patch has been added to the Farmer’s blessing, next to the other herb patches.
      • Players can also access this patch by using the harmony island teleport in the Arceuus spellbook.
  • Crab Changes:
    • All Crab npc’s (Sand crabs, king sand crabs, rock crabs, and ammonite crabs) will now automatically walk back to their spawns and go dormant if they have not attacked a player or been attacked by a player for at least 1 minute.
      • This will also reset their hitpoints when re-awakened.
  • Quality of Life:
    • Added a tip that Shanomi sells defenders at the Warrior's guild.
    • The blighted super restore potions will now be recognized as prayer restoring potions by runelite.
    • Added an option to adjust the Dinh's bulwark threshold through the Special attack counter plugin.
    • The Woodcutting plugin now allows players to select a specific tier of clue nest to notify the player for.
    • The "Loading - Please wait" and Connection lost boxes will now properly be drawn when the GPU plugin is enabled.
      • This change will likely come in a future update for the 117 HD plugin.
    • Updated the skill calculator to include the experience/level requirements for all javelin types.
    • There is now a one-way entrance to the Revenant Caves in level 28 wilderness.
      • The entrance will prompt the user that this is a one-way entrance, and players will not be able to leave the way they entered.
        • There is a secondary option to skip this dialogue, which players can make their primary option if they have the “quick pass” option on the menu entry swapper plugin enabled.
    • Removed the extra pieces of elegant equipment in the Medium Clue scroll collection log.
    • Removed the black boxes around the POH costume room storage interfaces.
    • Players can now obtain the Beekeeper outfit from doing random events.
      • There are 5 pieces to this set that the player will need to obtain to complete the full set.
    • The Blisterwood Flail will now be announced in Yell when a player receives it from Pyramid Plunder.
    • Players can now store the Alora 4th Anniversary Balloons, and upcoming 5th anniversary balloons in their POH toy box.
    • Players will now make 10 amethyst darts rather than 8.
    • Cave Krakens will now revert back into a whirlpool and have their health restored after not being attacked/attacking a player for at least 1 minute.
    • Players will now receive noted vials of blood when uncharging their scythe of vitur if they don't have enough free slots in their inventory for all the vials.
    • Disabled/fixed many of the ladders/entrances around the game that brought you to random/invalid locations.
      • If you find any more of these, let us know!
    • Players can now cook raw yak meat into cooked meat.
    • The Clueless scroll now uses the proper stand/walk/run animations.
    • Added Aubury's Rune Shop accessibility to Ironmen.
      • The prices of runes are the same as the ones at the Wizard Guild Rune Shop, and various other ironmen rune shops.
    • Players (of all game modes) can now purchase the various staffs from Zaff's Superior Staffs in Varrock.
      • Zaff sells the following staves:
        • Battle staff
        • Staff
        • Magic Staff
        • Staff of Air
        • Staff of Water
        • Staff of Earth
        • Staff of Fire
    • The dragon pickaxe (or) now uses the proper animation when mining.
    • Players can now read the quest list in another player's house to see the quests they've completed.
    • Increased the value of the Dagannoth king rings from 1 coin to a few million (depending on the ring).
    • The experience tracker progress bar will now move higher towards the top of the player’s screen if they disable the xp counter.
    • Fishing potions will now provide a +3 fishing boost.
    • Removed the delay players experiencing when opening the smithing interface.
    • Added a "Xp rate" indicator in the server statistics quest tab.
      • This will show the current Xp rate that the player has, including all boosts available.
        • Note that this will not show the rate of combat xp multipliers for regular players, since those are different.
        • It will also only show the rate of skills below level 99, so it will not show the rate that regular ironmen/regular players for a skill after level 99 (40x->15x).
    • Increased the value of caskets to 50k so that they will be more highly prioritized in item piles on the ground.q
    • Raised the resizable chatbox/tabs a bit on GPU/HD so they're not cut off.
    • All of the player's dragonstone jewellery will now be charged when using jewellery on the Fountain of Rune.
    • The level-5 enchant spell will now enchant dragonstone jewelry to the uncharged enchanted versions of the item.
    • The collection log/achievement pop up banner will now default as an overlay which will not be closed by combat/other action interruptions.
      • This will apply for most areas, except for specific areas where there is already an overlay shown (example: barrows).
    • Players can now cure their parasite infection by clicking on the health orb while fighting the Nightmare, given that they have a dose of Sanfew serum or Relicym’s balm in their inventory.
    • Achievement/Daily/League slayer task achievements will now count for the partner of a player who gets the last kill on a slayer task.

    • Fixed a bug with the special attack bar not displaying the correct models on 2007 mode.

  • Yak-Hide Armour:
    • Players can now craft and equip Yak-hide armour.
      • By curing the Yak-hide form Yaks, and using a needle and thread on the cured hides, players can create the following items:
        • Yak-hide top:
          • This piece of armour requires level 43 crafting to create, and level 20 defence to equip.
            • Players can make this item with 2 pieces of cured yak-hide.
        • Yak-hide legs:
          • This piece of armour requires level 43 crafting to create, and level 20 defence to equip.
            • Players can make this item with 1 piece of cured yak-hide.
  • Random Event Changes:
    • Players can now click the “Open” or “Unlock” option on the jail door after they’ve been jailed for failing a random event.
      • By doing so, they’ll be given a chance to solve the failed question again, which will allow them to be unjailed without needing to ask a staff member to do so.
      • This does not apply when a staff member manually jails you, and the only way to get out in that case would be to be manually unjailed.
      • Players will not ever fumble the rubber chicken, so there’s need to worry about losing this item when whacking other players.
    • We’ve also fixed an issue where players would be continuously prompted with the random event question, even after failing 3 times and being jailed.
      • The prompt for the question will now go away after failing the random event and being jailed.
  • Extra Settings Interface Changes:
    • We’ve removed many of the useless settings options in the “Extra Settings” interface menu when using Runelite.
      • Previously, most of these settings would simply tell you to use a runelite plugin.
    • We’ve also added a few new options to this interface for Runelite users:
      • Click off interfaces:
        • When toggled on, this option will allow players to click outside of the interface bounds to walk/interact with objects/npcs/items/players.
          • This will also allow an alternative way to close an interface, simply by clicking outside of the bounds of that interface.
      • Escape closes interfaces:
        • This option is toggled on by default, and allows the player to close interfaces by pressing the escape key.
      • Force Right-Click:
        • When toggled on, this setting will force all left clicks to open the context menu (as a right click would) assuming one is not already opened.
  • Rubber Chicken/Golden Tench Options:
    • Players who have the Rubber Chicken or Golden Tench equipped will now have an option to “Whack” players with their chicken/tench when right-clicking them.
      • This option will not appear in areas such as the Duel arena, wilderness, or as the owner of a POH, or anywhere else where there is a unique right-click option.
    • The Rubber chicken’s “Dance” option in the inventory/equipment interface will now also make the player do a chicken dance animation.
  • Players can now cast the Bones to Peaches and Bones to Bananas spells in the standard spellbook.
    • Bones to Peaches:
      • This spell requires level 60 magic to cast, and provides 35.5 base Magic experience.
        • It will turn all eligible bones in the player’s inventory into peaches that can be consumed, healing 8 hit points.
          • The eligible bones include bones, big bones, burnt bones, bat bones, monkey bones, and wolf bones.
            • Any bones that provide more experience than big bones cannot be turned into peaches.
      • To cast this spell, players will need to complete the Varrock easy and medium diaries.
        • This restriction does not apply to using the bones to peaches tablets, however to make them, the player will need the diaries done.
    • Bones to Bananas:
      • This spell requires level 15 magic to cast, and provides 25 base Magic experience.
        • It will turn all eligible bones in the player’s inventory into bananas that can be consumed, healing 2 hit points.
          • The eligible bones include bones, big bones, burnt bones, bat bones, monkey bones, and wolf bones.
            • Any bones that provide more experience than big bones cannot be turned into bananas.
  • Player-Owned-House Lectern:
    • Players can now make all standard teleport tablets, as well as bones to peaches and bones to bananas spell tablets.
      • Players will need to have completed the Varrock easy/medium diaries to make bones to peaches tablets.
    • To begin making tablets, simply go to a Study in any player-owned-house, and study the Lectern, and an interface will appear, allowing players to select a tablet to make.
      • Please note that all enchantment tablets are not currently cartable at this time.
      • Making tablets will require the runes to cast the spell, as well as 1 soft clay per tablet.
      • Some tablets can only be made on higher tier lecterns, the full list showing which lecterns can make what tabs can be found here:
    • Players can now also build a new lectern, the Marble Lectern, which is the highest tier Lectern, and allows players to make all possible tablets.
    • We’ve also removed the teleport tablets from the ironman shop, since it is now possible to acquire them properly.
  • Elven Crystal Chest Changes:
    • Players will now receive an extra reward from the Elven Crystal Chest in the form of the same “common” items found in the regular Crystal Chest.
      • These items include noted dragon stones, noted glories, rune bars, coins, magic logs, and raw karambwans.
    • Players will now also have a rare chance to get Infinity boots, and a very rare chance to get ranger boots from the Elven Crystal Chest.
      • The chance of getting these items is still very low, however it’s more common than it would be in the regular Crystal chest.
  • Dynamic Graphic Style Changing:
    • Players can now switch between the 2010 and 2007 graphics style without having to restart their clients.
      • This new option will be present in the settings tab, replacing the “Accept Aid” button.
        • The Accept Aid button has been moved to the “Controls” section of the settings tab, next to the f-key setup button.
  • Collection Log Changes:
    • Added a “Rooftop Agility” section to the collection log that logs the amount of graceful pieces and marks of grace the player has obtained, as well as the Ring of endurance, and Dark acorn.
      • This only tracks the regular graceful set, so players will not need to obtain each recolour to complete the log.
      • Players can see The Collector to add any color graceful piece to their collection log.
      • If the player already has a dark acorn, or dark squirrel pet, simply bring the dark squirrel pet (in the inventory) or the dark acorn to the collector, and he will log the acorn.
    • Added the blue/orange egg sac’s to the Miscellaneous section of the collection log.
      • If a player has already obtained one or both egg sacs, they can take them to The Collector to be logged.
        • If the egg sacs have been used on the Sraracha pet, simply bring the paper color metamorphed pet to The Collector (pet in the inventory), and he will log the egg sac color.
  • Dinh’s Bulwark Changes:
    • The Dinh’s Bulwark has been changed to match the recent OSRS changes.
      • These changes include:
        • Reducing the slash/stab/crush/mage defensive bonuses.
        • Increasing the attack speed to 5 ticks.
        • Adding a bonus effect that allows the players strength bonus to be increased with their defence.
      • The special attack will now reduce the opponents attack by 5%.
  • Plugin Hub Expansion:
    • Players now have access to the Mahogany Homes plugin via the Plugin Hub.
      • This plugin will help players complete their mahogany homes tasks by showing hint arrows for where to go, as well as marking the home to go to on the World map.
      • It will also highlight all the objects that still need to be repaired, and highlight any staircases or ladders the player needs to climb to repair objects.
  • Trading Post Changes:
    • Players can now click on the name of an item in the trading post listings to view it's recent purchase history.
    • Fixed an issue where the history on the trading post would be from both the realism and the regular trading post.
      • To fix this issues, we’ve had to add a new indicator the trading post history to differentiate between realism/regular activity, which means that only trades done after this update will be shown on the extended history.
  • The Nightmare Changes:
    • Reverted the hit delay change from the nightmare's melee attacks, as it was far too slow.
      • The hit will now land 3 ticks after the animation, rather than 4.
    • Fixed a bug where it was possible to get the parasitic egg from the normal nightmare version.
    • Added Cannonballs and Snapdragon seeds to The Nightmare's drop table.
    • The parasitic egg drop from The Nightmare will now be announced over yell when obtained.
    • Parasite Attack:
      • The Nightmare’s Parasite attack will now deal 50-70 damage to the player infected with the parasite if they do not drink a sanfew serum or Reclym’s balm while infected.
        • If they do, the damage taken will be 4-12.
      • The parasites that burst from the player will now be the level 86 variants only if the player did cure themselves while infected.
        • Previously this was just a 50/50 chance for the weak one or the strong one.
    • Drop table changes:
      • Reduced the chance to hit the rare drop table on Phosani’s nightmare, as it was too high previously.
      • We’ve now added approximate rates for the Nightmare/Phosani’s Nightmare rare drops.
        • These rates will assume that the player was the Mvp for the regular nightmare (no MVP for Phosani).
        • These rates will also ignore the chance to roll on the unique drop table a second time for the regular nightmare, since that requires information about the party size.
      • We’ve added the proper drop table for Phosani’s Nightmare, which gives the non-unique drops a huge buff.
        • To put the buff into perspective, this image will show the difference between the regular Nightmare/Phosani’s Nightmare after 1000 kills (unique drops disabled):
        • This table can also be looked up on the npc drop searcher interface.

#411546 [29/9/21] GPU & 117 HD Plugin Release, Trading Post QoL, Theatre of Blood...

Posted by Omicron on 29 September 2021 - 07:00 PM

Hello everyone,

We're extremely excited to present to you the GPU & 117 HD Plugins today! We appreciate your patience while we worked through all of the obstacles to get GPU functionality to Alora, and we hope that this enhances your experience on the server even more. There will undoubtedly be some bugs with this release, so we're counting on you to report these bugs as soon as they are found so that we can patch them up.

The GPU plugin provides a minimally enhanced visual experience, but will use your graphic card to render the game (rather than your CPU) which often leads to FPS improvements for most players with modern graphic cards. The 117 HD plugin which was released a few weeks ago on OSRS dramatically enhances the game's visuals, adding lighting, shadows, high-definition water, ground blending, and much more. While we already had a functional HD plugin that we ported from the original 2008 HD release on RuneScape (and this HD toggle is still available if you prefer it), it didn't work on most Macs, and there are some benefits to using 117's HD such as atmospheric lighting, object/npc lighting, much nicer looking water, and more.

While this update is primarily to release these plugins, we've also managed to squeeze in a handful of bug fixes and QoL updates, notably for the Trading Post and the Theatre of Blood. For the Trading Post, you'll now be able to see your history in detail, and you'll also be able to look-up recent trades for a specific item (or just the Trading Post's recent trades in general). For privacy reasons, the usernames of buyers and sellers are not displayed in this history, but it can give you a better idea of the price of an item. You can also now view more than just one page of items when searching, as we've added a "Next" and "Previous" button to navigate through pages. We've tried our best to patch up all of the reported Theatre of Blood bugs, including a QoL change which makes ornament kits roll as a separate drop.

We'll let you have a look at the full list of updates below:

  • 117 HD/GPU Plugin Release:
    • DISCLAIMER:
      • These plugins are still in beta, and we do not recommend players use them in dangerous situations at this time.
        • No items or hardcore ironman status’ will be refunded if a player dies to a crash caused by these plugins, so please be aware of this.
    • Important Note For HD:
      • While there will likely be bugs specifically experienced on Alora, differentiating between the bugs that are on Alora and the bugs that are present due to the HD plugins themselves will be difficult.
        • For this reason, we ask that players do not report small graphical errors or inconsistencies related to the 117 HD plugin, since they are likely also present on OSRS, and will be fixed in the future.
    • The 117 HD and GPU plugins supported by Runelite are now available on Alora.
      • Players can toggle these plugins on by using the plugin configuration panel on Runelite.
        • Please note that these 2 plugins conflict with each other, so players may only have one or the other on, but not both.
        • Players also must turn Alora’s native HD mode off before starting the GPU/117 HD plugins.
          • Players will be notified to do this if they try to toggle the plugins on with Alora’s HD enabled.
    • 117 HD:
      • This plugin will move most of the client’s rendering to the GPU (if available), and upgrade a lot of visual aspects of the game.
      • Players will have many options to customize this plugin in the configuration options of the plugin.
        • Some of the many options include:
          • Adjustable draw distance from 1-90 tiles.
          • Shadow quality/distance.
          • Fog depth
          • NPC/Object/Projectile lighting
          • Water quality settings
    • GPU Plugin:
      • This plugin will not make any drastic visual changes to the game, but is simply there to pass some of the rendering over to the GPU, which will allow players to add fog in the distance, adjust their draw distance from 1-90 tiles, smooth out the game’s jagged edges (anti-aliasing), and add colorblind filters.
    • Players may experience issues with these plugins, depending on the type of GPU they have, the version of OpenGl they are running, the device they are running, etc…
  • Bug Fixes:
    • Fixed a bug where switching to build mode while in your POH wouldn't properly spawn the hotspot objects.
    • Fixed a bug where players could claim the tempoross/wintertodt vote book bonus even if it was crossed out.
    • Fixed a bug where the mouse tooltips would sometimes disappear.
    • Adjusted the Chaos Druid spawns in the Edgeville dungeon so they should hopefully no longer get stuck in the wall.
    • The Charge spell now provides the 180 base magic experience when casting it.
    • The Charge spell now lasts for 7 minutes, rather than the much longer (and random) amount that it previously lasted.
    • Fixed a bug where players could not click on the "Click here to play" banner on the first login if their client was loaded with both Stretched mode and resizable enabled.
    • Fixed a bug where players would sometimes not get the appropriate amount of items from the LMS shop if they didn't have enough points to purchase the selected amount.
    • Sleepwalker NPC's at the Nightmare will now always walk towards the Nightmare, even if the player is hiding on the other side of the instance.
    • The Nightmare staff special attack will no longer continue into a staff bash if no auto-cast spell is set.
    • Fixed a bug where floor textures were black in parts of Ardougne, Miscellania, and Brimhaven.
      • If you spot any other black or wrong textures, let us know!
    • Fixed a bug where depositing a watering can would override whatever watering can you had in the Farming tool store.
    • Reduced the outer zoom limit max value of the Camera Plugin, since after a certain value, it had the potential to crash the client.
    • Removed the random Blue heron spawns in Lumbridge.
    • The Dragonfire ward will now properly act as a dragonfire shield.
    • Players must now risk 750k to use the bounty hunter teleport to their target if their target is in the Revenant caves.
    • Adjusted the canvas width on resizable for Windows clients to (hopefully) remove the black bar from the right edge of the screen.
    • Fixed a bug where some lower tier PoH superior garden restore pools were curing poison/venom and restoring stats when they should not have been.
    • Fixed a bug where varies thrown range weapons were missing the special attack bar (Dragon Knives, Dragon Thrownaxe, Morrigan’s throwing axe, etc…).
    • The Zombie Thralls can no longer attack Aviansies.
    • Fixed a bug where the slayer helmet effect was not applying to Wilderness slayer tasks.
    • The instanced Giant Mole can now be attacked by multiple people at the same time.
    • The Giant Mole will no longer burrow away if it has 0 hitpoints.
    • Properly fixed the olm animations on HD when 2007 HD objects were enabled.
    • Fixed a bug where runelite item overlays weren’t rendering on HD.
    • The Player-Owned house plugin is no longer hidden on the plugin-list.
    • Fixed a bug where the xp globes/tracker wouldn't reset when switching accounts if a player had 200m experience in that skill.
    • Fixed a bug with the Champion's guild staircases.
    • The splitbark helmet will no longer make a player’s head invisible.
    • Fixed a graphical glitch with the Splitbark/bloodbark/swampbark bodies.
    • Fixed a bug where player's clients would sometimes crash in certain areas due to texture issues (this wouldn't be uncommon in the GWD area for example).
    • Fixed a bug where item overlays on HD were causing error logs to be built up on the user's device.
    • The wiki banner will now be hidden when hiding the minimap using the minimap plugin.
    • Minimap orb overlays (dose indicator, eat indicator, etc…) will no longer draw if the minimap orbs, or the entire minimap is hidden.
    • Fixed an issue where the floor textures in the farming guild were black on 2010 mode.
    • Adjusted the sigil drop rates on the drop searcher/npc drop interface to more accurately match what they actually are in-game. These interfaces were showing lower than true rates for sigils.
    • Fixed a bug where player's compost bins would appear to be empty when they were full, not allowing the player to withdraw their compost.
    • Fixed an issue where models would not draw on interfaces on HD (for example the coins/add/remove buttons on the Managing Miscellania interface).
    • Fixed a bug with the total experience sprite being offset too far to the right on the experience tracker on HD.
    • Fixed a bug where Teak logs would sometimes be added un-noted when receiving them from Wintertodt crates.
    • Fixed a bug where the large Muttadile would not properly walk out of the water in the Chambers of Xeric.
    • Fixed a bug where a player could still take damage in the case that their attacker hit them on the same tick that they teleported away using a Lever.
    • Fixed a bug where the Fixed mode game frame would sometimes turn black/disappear on HD.
    • Fixed a bug where the nightmare's attack animation would not play properly after the Sleepwalker attack between phases.
    • The professor Gracklebone clue step is now a proper anagram where the player will need to answer the question to move on.
    • Fixed a bug where the Salamander net trap would still be able to catch a salamander after being dismantled.
    • Fixed a bug where the collection log pop up banner would not show up if the player opened a clue scroll casket.
    • Fixed a bug where the minimap compass clickbox would cover part of the minimap on the 2010 interface style.
    • The Dragon claws special attack will now properly hit max on the Max hit dummy.
    • The Dragon claws special attack hitmarkers will now all count as "critical" hits using the 2010 era hitmarkers, if the initial/main hit was a critical.
    • Fixed a bug with the dense essence chisel animation on 2010 mode.
    • Fixed a bug where the "remove doors" option in the player owned house menu would sometimes leave walls between rooms that were not supposed to have any.
    • Fixed a bug where players could not withdraw an amount less than the total amount of coins in their servant's moneybag.
      • Players can now properly withdraw any amount less than or equal to the amount of coins in the bag.
    • Players will now automatically be transformed back to their normal form if they try to do actions (for example, pickpocketting) while transformed into an object/NPC that normally cannot move (ring of stone transformation, for example).
    • Fixed a bug where the models on the Staff enchantment interface were bugged on 2007, and especially 2010 mode.
    • Fixed a bug where the fire cape texture would not be animated.
    • Fixed a bug where players could chisel dense essence while mining them.
    • Fixed a bug where the slayer points would not update on the Slayer infobox when clicking the task button in the Server statistics interface.
    • Fixed a bug with the "Disable spellbook tooltips" option in the Mouse tooltips plugin not working with some spells on the new spellbook.
    • Fixed a bug with the Interact Highlight plugin’s "show on interact" setting not working for objects.
    • Increased the value of various Dragon axe/pickaxe/harpoon variants (ornament kits, trailblazer, etc...).
    • Fixed a bug where the rune cost of the portal nexus locations was wrong, and would show a much highest cost than normal.
    • Fixed a bug where removing a teleport that was not yet paid for from your list would not fully remove the proper cost.
    • The bow of Faerdhinen, and blade of Saeldor (and all variants) now have a default value of 150m.
    • Fixed a bug with reverting the Blade of saeldor at the singing bowl not working properly.
    • Adjusted the perk description text for the Kandarin diaries to state that the diary completion leads to an increased chance to get single mark of grace, not an "extra" mark of grace.
    • Fixed a bug where players could not remove the normal spirit tree in their player-owned house.
    • Fixed a bug where only weapons whose crush bonus was higher than their slash/stab bonus would always instantly kill the Phosani's Nightmare parasite/Husk.
      • Now, any weapon using the crush attack style will do so.
  • Quality of Life:
    • Added the blue dye to the Construction supplies shop.
    • Papyrus has been added to the Construction supplies shop for 1,750 coins each.
    • Added the proper animation when removing objects in a player-owned house.
    • Reduced the construction build delay from 4-6 ticks to just 1 tick.
      • Osrs doesn’t seem to have this delay after building objects, which will now allow players to remove the objects they build right away.
    • Barrows items that drop to the ground due a full inventory when completing a run will no longer break.
    • Npc Aggression will now factor in the npc’s size, which means it should work more consistently than previously.
      • There times when players could get within 1 tile of an aggressive npc, and it wouldn’t take notice of the player at all.
        • This should no longer happen.
    • The cure-poison/venom button on the hitpoints orb will now factor in anti-venoms and Anti-venom+ to cure poison as well.
    • Tears of guthix will now properly give experience to the skill that comes first in the skill tab if two skills have the same experience.
      • This is tracked from left->right and top->bottom.
    • Adjusted the Dagannoth Rex spawn in instances so that it’s further towards the back of the room, rather than the centre.
    • Alchemical Hydra will now play an animation on the first 3 phases when it swaps between the Range/Mage attack styles.
    • Increased the delay before the lizardman spawns explode from 2 ticks to 3 ticks.
    • The Lizardman spawns will now play their proper animation before exploding.
    • The loot tracker plugin can now properly track loot from opening impling jars.
      • It will also track implings that were caught barehanded, and ignore implants that are caught and trapped in jars.
    • Increased the max object interaction distance from 27 tiles away to 50 tiles away.
    • The Key remapping plugin will now re-initialize properly after a player closes an interface that disabled it (for example, searching a location using the world map).
    • The Eldritch nightmare staff's special attack cost has been from 75% to 55%.
    • The world map icon on Resizable/2007 fixed interface style (default style for fixed) will now use the smaller world map orb that OSRS uses.
    • The falling rocks at olm will now only do half the damage unless the rock landed directly on the player.
    • Players will no longer have their movement locked when trying to light a brazier if the pyromancer is incapacitated at Wintertodt.
    • LMS players will now gain 20 seconds of immunity from being attacked after killing another player.
      • The killer can attack another player at any time during this immunity period, which will nullify the immunity.
      • This is intended to give the killer time to open a bloody chest and prepare for the next fight.
    • Players can now fletch darts if their inventory is full, assuming they already have at least 1 of the dart they're trying to make in their inventory.
    • Clicking on the number of vote points in the Server statistics interface will once again tell the player how many vote books they’ve claimed.
    • Clicking on the skill of the day in the Server Statistics interface will once again redirect players to the bonus skill schedule forum thread.
    • Players will no longer be able to accept Duel arena staking options until 4 ticks (3.2 seconds) after the rule has been changed.
      • This should hopefully help to prevent players from making last second changes to the rules without the other player being aware.
    • Players can now add extra blood shards to their Amulet of blood fury to increase the maximum charges to 30,000.
      • Reverting the Blood fury will still remove all the charges without refunding any of the blood shards.
      • Players can add an extra blood shard if they have more than 20,000 charges, but it will only add the difference between their current charges and the max amount of charges (30,000).
        • For example, if the player has 25,000 charges, the next shard they add will only provide 5,000 charges. Players will be warned about this before their shard is taken.
    • The collector will now add the Gem/Coal bags to a players collection box if they are missing.
    • You can now right-click the Sacrificial Boat at Zulrah to Quick-board and skip the dialogue.
    • Players can now deposit noted tools/compost into the Farming tool store.
    • Player's net traps will now automatically be dismantled, with the net/rope dropping to the ground if they log out.
    • Reduced the radius of the Nightmare's spore attack explosion by 1 tile, so now when the spores blow up, it'll only infect a player if they are right next to it (1 tile away) or on it, rather than 2 tiles away.
    • Players can now toggle the “remove doors” option on or off while in their house without having to reload it.
    • The scythe of vitur's walk/run animations are now the same as OSRS.
    • The Screen Marker Highlight plugin will now be able to more accurately highlight interface components.
    • Players can now take an iron pickaxe from the ground in the Guardian's room in the Chambers of Xeric.
    • A healthbar will no longer be drawn when attacking the max hit dummy.
    • The right-click teleport options in the modern spellbook now work properly.
      • This includes the following teleports:
        • Grand exchange (right click on barrack teleport).
        • Outside POH (right click on house teleport).
        • Seers’ village (right click on Camelot teleport).
        • Yanille (right click on Watchtower teleport).
    • The farmer’s blessing shortcut keys will now be highlighted in blue to make them clearer/easier to see.
    • 3 new teleports have been added to the Farmer’s blessing.
      • Falador tree patch
      • Gnome Stronhold tree patch
      • Fossil island hardwood patch
    • Added a more clear information interface when right-clicking the group ironman orb in Edgeville.
      • When a group ironman player clicks the “Group Change Details” option, they’ll be presented with a clear list of the rules for joining teams/kicking players, and then they’ll also be presented with the following group/player specific information:
        • Transfers left: How many transfers they have left.
        • Transfer Cooldown: How long until they can join a new group.
        • Group Kick Cooldown: How long until their current group can kick a player.
  • Dragonstone Jewelry Changes:
    • Players can now recharge all dragonstone jewelry at the Fountain of Rune.
      • This includes Skills necklaces, Combat bracelets, Rings of wealth, and Rings of wealth (I).
    • All Ring of wealth and Ring of wealth (I) variants will now work as the base version.
      • Upon death in PvP, a player’s Ring of wealth (I) will be converted to the uncharged version, and sent to the untradables shop.
        • As always, the item will be permanently lost if the player’s untradables shop is full.
    • Players can now use the Ring of Wealth teleports when the ring is charged.
      • The locations the player can teleport to are as follows:
        • The Grand Exchange
        • Miscellania
        • Falador Park
        • Dondakan
  • Equipment Rebalance:
  • Trading Post Changes:
    • Trading Post History Changes:
      • We’ve added a “History” button to the top-left corner of the Trading Post interface, which players can now use to view the history of various categories on the Trading Post.
        • Players will have 3 options when clicking the History.
          • The first option will be to view the 50 most recent trades that happened on the Trading Post.
            • These only show items sold (rather than bought and sold, since that would provide duplicate entries), and the buyer/seller names are omitted when viewing these logs.
          • The second option will be to view the purchase history of items on the Trading Post.
            • Players will be able to search for an item, and will be provided with up 50 entries of recent trades of that item.
          • The third option will be to view extended history for the player’s own trading post transactions, where players will be able to view up to 50 of their transactions.
    • Trading Post Search Changes:
      • Players can now view more than 20 listing results on the trading post.
        • We’ve added “Next” and “Previous” buttons to the search interface, and this will allow players to view the next or previous 20 listings from the “Recents” page, or a search they’ve done.
          • The “Recents” listings are capped to 200 listings total, which would be 10 pages worth of listings.
  • Npc Melee Accuracy Changes:
    • We’ve adjusted the formulas for calculating NPC accuracy to be more like OSRS.
      • At the moment, this will only apply to NPC’s that use melee as an attack style, and will not apply to bosses or npc’s with custom mechanics.
      • These new formulas should help players avoid damage by gearing up defensively in the case that they aren’t praying melee, or if that npc hits through prayer (though generally a mechanic like that would fall under the “custom mechanics” category).
  • Dwarf Cannon Accuracy Changes:
    • The Dwarf Cannon’s accuracy system has now been changed to match OSRS.
      • The cannons accuracy will be based off of either the player’s ranged or melee accuracy.
        • If the players weapon is a ranged weapon, then it will use range accuracy/defence calculations to see if the cannon ball will do any damage.
          • Any other weapons will default to melee accuracy/defence calculations, including magic weapons.
      • This also means that a cannon’s efficacy will be based on a players specialized setup.
        • For example, since it doesn’t factor the magic type, it would useless to use a cannon in mage gear at a boss, however when using it at corporeal beast with a high accuracy setup, the cannon will also benefit from the high accuracy setup.
        • The Cannon’s accuracy will also increase if the player’s stats are boosted (by potions or by using prayers).
  • Client updates:
    • Object Indicators Plugin Changes:
      • Players can now choose to highlight an objects outline, hull, or both.
    • Players can now adjust the border width and feathering of the outline/hull.
    • Loot Tracker entries now display unit price of item stacks in their tooltips
    • Players now have the option to add a "Fill color" for highlighted hulls of NPC's using the NPC indicator plugin.
    • :Poggers: emoji has been added to the Emoji plugin on RuneLite.
  • Tzhaar Rune Shop Changes:
    • Ironmen can now sell their runes to the Tzhaar-Mej-Roh rune shop.
      • The price of the runes will be treated as the overstocked price on OSRS, which is as follows:
        • Fire/water/earth/air/mind/body runes: 0 Tokkul each
        • Chaos runes: 9 Tokkul each
        • Death runes: 18 Tokkul each
        • Blood runes: 40 Tokkul each
        • Tzhaar elemental rune packs: 43 Tokkul each
    • The regular elemental rune packs in this shop have been switched to the Tzhaar variants.
    • Karamja Gloves (1/2/3/4) now provide a discount for buying and selling runes while equipped.
      • Players will receive a 15% decreased purchase price for all runes in the shop while they have these gloves equipped.
      • Players will receive a 45% increased sell price for all runes in the shop while they have these gloves equipped.
  • Max Hit Indicators:
    • Players can now toggle a setting to change the font of hitmarkers when they hit their maximum damage on a player/NPC.
      • This can be done through the Interface Styles plugin, and players can set the font to be bold/regular, rather than the default small font used.
        • This feature does not work on 2010 era hitmarkers, which use their own critical hitmarkers when a player deals within 90-100% of their maximum hit (critical attack).
        • This only works with regular hitmarkers, so it will not work, for example, on the Nightmare of Ashihama, where it uses special hitmarkers.
  • Player-Owned House Max Hit Dummies:
    • Players can now attach/use the Max hit dummies built in their combat room.
      • The regular max hit dummy works more or less exactly the same as the one in the Home area.
      • The Undead Combat Dummy works the same as the regular one, except for that it acts as though it is a slayer task npc, undead, and demonic.
        • This means players can see their max hits with one or more of the aforementioned boosts applied.
  • Theatre of Blood Changes:
    • The Nylocas spawned by Verzik Vitur can now be killed in one hit if the player is using the correct combat style.
      • For example, the range Nylocas can be killed in 1 hit by any range weapon.
    • It is no longer possible for 2 Exhumed skeletons to spawn on the same tile while at Xarpus.
    • Rather than targeting team members randomly, Xarpus will now pick it’s targets following the order of the orbs in the top left of the screen.
      • Once he has gone through every member that is attackable, he’ll restart at the first member once again.
    • Players will no longer splash magic attacks on the Nylocas Matomenos if one of the following conditions are true:
      • The player’s magic accuracy is 140+ (factoring in the 10/15/25% boosts from the magic prayers).
      • The player has a boosted (prayer * base) magic accuracy of 86, while having the void mage set equipped.
      • The player has a base magic accuracy 55, while having the void mage set equipped, and Augury active.
    • Fixed a bug where the Pestilent Bloat's size was 4x4 rather than 5x5, which would sometimes cause players to get 1 tile closer than necessary to Bloat.
    • Combat will now be ended between a player and Nylocas Vasilias after the boss changes phases.
    • Hard mode loot changes:
      • Ornament kits will now be rolled as a separate drop.
        • This won't make all rare loot more common though, as their slots on the rare loot table were filled in by the Avernic hilt.
          • This means that the hilt will be more commonly dropped, but also that you will have a chance at obtaining a rare item and an ornament kit in the same chest.
  • Nightmare fixes:
    • Regular damage will now show the heal mark again.
    • Fixed the countdown timer and tested, Phosani's nightmare will spawn after 5 seconds.
    • The drop rate for the Parasitic egg has been fixed (was previously too low).
    • Melee attack changes:
      • Nightmare's melee attack will now be delayed by 1 more tick, giving you more time to select the correct prayer.
      • Nightmare's melee attack will now occur 40% less often, and she will opt for a Ranged/Magic attack instead where possible.
    • Hits of zero on both the totems and the Nightmare should both display the regular, blue zero-damage hitmarker.
  • Baby Mole-rat:
    • You can now use a Mole claw on your Baby Mole pet to morph it into a Baby Mole-rat, the pink, naked version.
      • To go back to the original Baby Mole pet, you can use a Mole skin on it.
