No support. I think it is supposed to be a grind for completing one of the raids logs, that's why we have the forum awards for them as well and it was deemed important enough to add them there in the first place. You still may have all the items obtained but to get the "achievement of completing a raids collection log" I think you should have at least some kind of KC req. I was kinda sad that they lowered the KC reqs of the capes but I get this is an RSPS so it is supposed to be easier than OSRS.

I don't see anything wrong with rule 1b. I'm not going to overanalyze the ;;rules but I'd imagine that rule 1b and other rules are intentionally written with loose language so that staff can use their discretion to deal with unique situations which aren't specifically outlined. Conversely, take a staff member who's having a bad day or has been in their position for years, they might not care in the moment and take advantage of loosely written rules to enforce them unjustly. So I see your point and I agree that it's wrong. I just don't think that rule 1b needs to be changed.

However, it sounds like more of an issue of - the staff moderate the players, but who is moderating the staff?

If so, isn't that why we have the options to appeal an offense and to report a staff member on the forums? I don't know what the latter looks like behind the scenes, but aren't those the checks and balances to make sure staff aren't overstepping their authority?

One thing I don't understand though is why some rules have specific punishments outlined but several rules don't. It opens the door for punishments that might not fit the offense.

Overall I agree with much of your post - I just wanted to share my two cents from a perspective that attempts to consider all sides.

I love that people still take things so seriously in this game also same time I wanna bless every single member in the staff team that you have to go through this daily basic.

Not sure what we gaining from this you weren't punished solely based off 1 person decision anyway, but I guess crying in public often has worked here, therefore people continue doing it, but yeah I hope that you can survive these through times if your punishment has not been expired already.

Not sure what your point is in regards to not being punished solely based off of 1 persons decision? If 5 people (who all have the same agenda) decide to vote for a certain outcome, it doesn't mean it's the correct outcome?

I think the point of 'crying in public' is to bring light to actions of those who are in a position of power to support, assist and improve the overall structure of the game, especially when those actions are what looks to be.. without good reason or fairness.

No, but finding a team to do regular nightmare is much easier on OSRS than it is currently on Alora.

Even during bonuses it's difficult to find a nightmare team.

Players prefer to run phosani and fail to realize that massing regular nightmare yields drops at a much faster rate.

It's been 11 months since the last nightmare / phosani drop rate adjustment (4/20/22 - topic 78241)

Back when nightmare was new content, finding a team was significantly easier.

Now, it's an absolute hassle.

The reward rate at nightmare and utility of drops is so low that most players can't justify the time investment.

This is why the nightmare rates need to be further adjusted on Alora.

At 8 minutes / phosani -> 813 phosani / expected orb drop -> each orb takes 4.51 days of constant playtime.

At 5 min / regular nightmare -> 487 nightmare / expected orb drop -> each orb takes 1.69 days of constant playtime.

Note - it takes a group of 4+ to make 5 min nightmares possible - something that is hard to pull off on a RSPS

Even if you could assemble a team, it's ridiculously hard to keep that team running.

Most times, teams don't even make it to the end of the server nightmare bonus.

As a result, I urge the community to consider rebalancing the time investment it takes for each nightmare drop.

Below is a sceenshot of the current Nightmare/phosani drop rates.

At the very least, I hope to convince players to invest time into massing regular nightmare instead of solo-ing phosani.

If you don't need a parasitic egg, nightmare drops are much faster to obtain from massing regular nightmare.

Just check the math.

How would this benefit Alora?: This was not asked for, polled, or suggested from what I can tell in any capacity. Not that it should be a determining factor, but I feel like Alora provides a more laid back OSRS experience and this was a benefit for a long time. It isn't even 100% from what I have experience when you do have to reset aggro as sometimes teleporting away or running far away doesn't always reset them. It would be nice to be able to AFK Vyrewatch and Sand Crabs, etc without really having to pay any attention.

I would be very interested in running another league in the near future. In the past we've repeated the twisted league, since it wasn't exactly feasible to reproduce the trailblazer league without taking up a ton of development time, but I think adding an extra island or two (Karamja, Fossil, etc...) would be a fun way to expand the current league, with new tasks and relics. At the moment we have our hands full with content, such as combat achievements (coming very soon), muspah, the wilderness rework, and a few other things, but when we clear out a lot of that, it's something we want to set our sights on.

The Spooning Don't Stop There!

Our incredibly strength doesn't just stop at the wilderness line. After our raging years long war with @Paragon that left many sets lying on the ground, countless mutes being laid down, some hurt feelings, and even some switching sides only one clan is left standing: Aftermath. Whether it be our sheer determination, our cutthroat tactics, our unmatched teamwork and comradery or more likely: the 500+ standardized rags sets we each keep banked: Paragon has unfortunately been renamed ParaGONE.

We quietly await their return from touching grass, killing PvMers in OSRS Rev Caves, or doing whatever it is they do in their Discord "Movie Night".

In the meantime our local demons have managed to victimize many of Alora's Finest PKers. Chief among us this month is @Rooger / @Gooba

AFTERMATH HISTORY LESSONS

Congratulations for making it all the way though this post. We're going to end these newsletters with some history lessons on major Aftermath events, people, misfortunates, etc.

One day long ago there was a legendary Higher-Up member who shall not be named. The clan bank was looking bare and with our mortgages and debts coming due along with major events coming up a decision was made by this higher-up to utilize the trading post to Merch Ultimate Mystery Boxes. This Higher-up purchased many a box, and on stream much to everyone's surprise began "merching" these boxes to such significant success he made MANY hundreds of millions of GP!!! It's too bad that the many he made rich - was not the Aftermath clan or it's members. It was from these actions that resulted in the Great Aftermath Depression that followed shortly after.

I joined Alora several weeks ago, and I have had a joyful time trying out a majority of the unique game modes and the thrilling wide-range of content Alora has to offer.

Now that I have gained vast knowledge of Alora, I thought I would now "go hard or go home." I have created a novelty account - a Defence pure, and my goal for it is to hunt for the 3rd age melee set by doing clue scrolls. Before I begin this insane goal, I am looking to complete the easy and medium clue scroll logs to warm myself up beforehand.
