What is your suggestion?: Add pie boosts to the game

Is this in OSRS?: Yes

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: No

How would this benefit Alora?:

As of right now, the only pie in the game is the summer pie. This acts as an agility boost.

The only alternate way to obtain skilling boosts is spicy stews, which are never guaranteed to roll the correct stat - and are very limited as a vote reward. modes that cant trade are restricted to one per day.

Currently there are no uses (besides eat) in game for the following:

1. Dragonfruit

2. Golovanova fruit top

3. Strawberry

4. Watermelon

5. Cooking apple

6. Tomato

7. Onion

8. Cabbage

Every time I complete a farm run with these items, I just drop them. Why not add something that would make them usable? especially the dragonfruit, it feels like a waste to drop them.

Before you ask, yes the Golovanova fruit top is obtainable from fruit stalls in Kourend. Have tested this myself.

Community response

I have asked the community about this topic in chat with very few responses, some say "just grind the level 4head".

What these regular ironmen fail to understand is that with the lower exp rate game modes (such as classic, realism or EIM), "just getting the level" can be an excruciating task to complete.

Benefits more than just grind

I would also like to add this would benefit the future of achievement diaries, as a whole completing hard/elite tasks is very counter intuitive. By the time you have the correct level to complete certain tasks, the perk/item you receive has little or no value to you whatsoever (besides things like elite void or noted bar drops).

Summary

With summer pies already being coded into the game, it only makes sense the others come along with it.

This implementation would NOT be as useful for high exp game modes like Normies or Reg Irons, I understand this. Consider it more of a QOL for lower exp modes.

No support, sounds a bit useless to me because to level up on Alora is a lot faster then osrs, dont think we need a +2 or +3 boost. I rather use a vote book to level up faster then farming onions/tomatos etc.

I personally think it would be a good idea to implement this as a QOL update that could benefit lower exp modes.
I support this thoughtful suggestion, because it could help the community as a whole and put use to items that other wise wouldn't be used or vitalized.

Well if it were useless than it would have never been implemented into a game in the first place, not hating just stating facts.
There can always be a use for the lower EXP modes.

+1 to OP @CLASSICSIEG

@iTrust1nGee Agree about. I dont think we need this in Alora because leveling up is way faster then osrs with bxp/sotd/vote books..so I dont think a +3 boost will be important.

Support.  As far as I know, only summer pie and admiral pie work at the moment.

Would definitely be a plus if we could get some other pies working.

Besides, using boosts to skill efficiently is part of the actual skill in skilling  :D
